I’m so impressed with the knowledge and care Dr. Johnson has provided my horse. Not only does he come on site for a reasonable price, there is no pushing of unneeded services. My horse was so trusting of him too and he’s normally uneasy about lots of handling by strangers, especially when it’s that invasive. He feels immediate relief which I know from how easy Dr. Johnson can handle him, and I can literally see the difference by the end of the session too. Watching him stretch out my big guy is so satisfying! Highly recommended to make your animal feel their very best.

Welcome to Interlaken Centre
Welcome to the introduction of Interlaken Centre, a veterinary care provider located at 8750 MN-5, Waconia, MN 55387, USA. As a dedicated Pet Hospital, Interlaken Centre aims to provide a variety of services and potentially goods to cater to the health and well-being of your animal companions. While specific details about the clinic's environment and full range of services are not explicitly provided in the given information, we can glean insights from the available customer reviews to understand more about what Interlaken Centre offers.
Based on the positive feedback, Interlaken Centre, particularly through Dr. Johnson, appears to offer specialized care for horses. One customer review highlights Dr. Johnson's knowledge and the quality of care provided on-site. This suggests that Interlaken Centre may offer mobile veterinary services, bringing essential care directly to your equine companions. The review emphasizes the reasonable pricing of these on-site visits and the absence of pressure to pursue unnecessary treatments, which speaks to a potentially ethical and trustworthy approach to veterinary medicine. Furthermore, the reviewer noted their horse's comfort and trust in Dr. Johnson during handling, even for potentially invasive procedures, and reported seeing immediate positive results. This indicates a gentle and effective approach to treatment, highly valued by pet owners.
The mention of Dr. Johnson's ability to "stretch out my big guy" suggests that the services offered may include some form of physical therapy or manipulation, potentially beneficial for musculoskeletal issues in horses. The overall sentiment of this review strongly recommends Interlaken Centre for owners seeking to improve their animal's well-being.
However, it is crucial to consider the significantly negative experience shared by another customer. This review paints a starkly different picture, alleging a severe adverse outcome following treatment for their Doberman's back leg weakness. The reviewer claims that despite requesting X-rays, they were advised against it and instead opted for gold bead treatment. The procedure allegedly resulted in a catastrophic outcome, leaving their dog paralyzed and ultimately leading to the difficult decision of euthanasia. The review details a traumatic experience, including bleeding during the procedure and the dog's immediate inability to walk. The subsequent lack of improvement and the veterinarian's alleged surprise at the complication further compound the negative experience. This customer strongly advises against taking animals to Interlaken Centre based on their personal tragedy.
It is important for local users to consider both perspectives when evaluating Interlaken Centre. The positive review highlights the potential for knowledgeable and effective on-site care for horses, while the negative review raises serious concerns about the safety and potential risks associated with certain treatments, at least in one specific case involving a canine patient. As an objective introduction, it is our responsibility to present all available information without omission, allowing potential clients to form their own informed opinions.
Given the contrasting experiences, local users may want to inquire specifically about the types of treatments offered, the experience and qualifications of the veterinarians for different animal species, and the protocols in place for ensuring patient safety and managing potential complications. It would be prudent to ask about the clinic's environment, including the facilities available for different types of animals, the diagnostic equipment used (such as X-ray machines, which were a point of contention in the negative review), and the post-treatment care and follow-up procedures.
For horse owners in the Waconia, MN area, Interlaken Centre may offer a convenient and well-regarded on-site service, particularly for treatments involving physical manipulation or alternative therapies. The positive review suggests a veterinarian who is knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and trusted by both the animal and owner. However, for owners of other types of pets, especially dogs, the negative review serves as a significant warning. It highlights the importance of thorough diagnostics and the potential for severe complications, even with treatments marketed as having "amazing success stories."
Prospective clients might consider asking Interlaken Centre about their experience with different animal species, the specific details of the gold bead treatment and other alternative therapies they offer, their diagnostic procedures for various conditions, and their protocols for handling and addressing complications should they arise. It would also be beneficial to inquire about the qualifications and specialties of all the veterinarians working at the center.
As a Pet Hospital, Interlaken Centre likely offers a range of standard veterinary services in addition to any specialized treatments mentioned. These could include routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, and potentially surgical procedures. However, the provided information does not detail these aspects. Local users are encouraged to contact Interlaken Centre directly at the provided phone numbers, (952) 442-4421 or mobile +1 952-442-4421, or visit their address at 8750 MN-5, Waconia, MN 55387, USA, to gather more comprehensive information about their facilities, services, and team.
Promotional information is not available in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot comment on any current offers or discounts that Interlaken Centre might be providing. To learn about any promotions, local users should reach out to them directly.
In conclusion, Interlaken Centre in Waconia, MN appears to be a veterinary care provider with at least one satisfied customer praising their on-site equine care and another detailing a deeply negative and tragic experience with a canine treatment. Local users are advised to carefully consider both accounts and conduct thorough due diligence, including asking detailed questions about the services relevant to their pets, the qualifications of the veterinary staff, and the clinic's safety protocols, before entrusting their animals to their care.

Nov 14, 2023 · Ashley WIf I could choose zero stars that would be the better option. Took our Doberman here about a year ago. (I left a review but they have since deleted it but I want people to be aware). He had weakness in his back legs I asked multiple times if we should do X-rays and was told nope they didn’t need them. They wanted to do gold bead treatment and told us amazing success stories. We put money together to get our dog the help we thought he needed. Our 8 year Doberman walked into that appointment, and little did we know it would be the last time he would EVER walk again. He put multiple beads in our Doberman. But the one spot he hit in his neck made him flinch and he started gushing blood. so he gave him more medicine. He carried him to the car because he could not bend his front legs or walk. He didn’t walk after that appt. We spent many days at home with him trying to help get him moving and when the doc came the next day to try more acupuncture all he could tell us was that this has never happened before and that if he didn’t start walking and moving it wasn’t going to be good outcome. We ended up having to put him down right before Easter in 2023. I would highly recommend not taking any animals to this vet. He paralyzed our Matice and took him away from us. He was our daughters best friend. The amount of pain and suffering still to this day is heart wrenching. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET!!!!!!!! Or you may end up losing them and a piece of your heart.
Mar 22, 2024 · Nicole PolzinAmazing care for my dogs over the years! I see Dr Loren with my current dog that had a spinal stroke and I can see the good results after each visit! Jennifer is fabulous too! I actually drive 1 hour each way just to go to this wonderful place :) Thank you Interlaken!!
Apr 04, 2022 · Rita TretterI recommend 100% for horses. They have treated several horses of mine who had issues that couldn't be diagnosed by other vets. Their wholistic approach to diagnosis and treatment has helped every single time. They have used chiropractic, acupuncture, injections, and herbal medicine to help my horses.
Jan 26, 2021 · Cherlynn BeckerDr. Loran has treated my horses twice now. I’m so impressed with his compassion and intuitive handling of them. I saw immediate improvement and continued improvement over the next few days. 1st treatment was 4/6/18 and 2nd treatment 10/31/18. I could not be happier.
