Welcome to Integrative Veterinary Therapies, P.C.
Integrative Veterinary Therapies, P.C., located at 135 Middle Country Rd, Ridge, NY 11961, USA, stands out as a "Pet Hospital" that offers a distinctive approach to animal healthcare. Under the leadership of Dr. Dominic Gucciardo, a licensed veterinarian and certified veterinary acupuncturist with over 15 years of experience, this clinic distinguishes itself by integrating both conventional Western veterinary medicine with a wide array of alternative and holistic therapies. This comprehensive approach aims to provide the most effective and individualized treatment plans for each pet, focusing on overall well-being and addressing root causes of health issues.
The environment at Integrative Veterinary Therapies, P.C. is designed to be well-organized and supportive, fostering a positive atmosphere for pets and their owners. As a full-service veterinary hospital that incorporates specialized therapies, the facility would be equipped with standard veterinary examination rooms, a reception area, and potentially dedicated spaces for alternative treatments like acupuncture or cold laser therapy. The emphasis on both conventional and holistic practices suggests a versatile setup capable of accommodating various diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. While specific details about the exact layout or advanced equipment are not extensively detailed, the clinic's ability to offer services like surgery, stem cell therapy, and growth removals implies the presence of appropriate medical infrastructure, including a sterile surgical environment. The positive customer reviews, mentioning pets being "excited the moment we walk through the door," suggest a calm and welcoming ambiance that helps alleviate animal anxiety often associated with vet visits. The clinic likely maintains a clean and efficient environment to support its diverse service offerings.
Integrative Veterinary Therapies, P.C. provides a broad spectrum of veterinary services, combining traditional and alternative approaches to pet health. Their offerings include:
Conventional Veterinary Medicine: This forms the foundation of their practice and includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations (as required by law or for disease prevention), parasite prevention, and general medical care for illnesses and injuries. They also provide standard diagnostic services to identify health issues.
Surgical Services: The clinic offers various surgical procedures, including spaying and neutering, and local growth removals, indicative of their capability to handle common surgical needs.
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services are provided, essential for overall pet health.
Acupuncture and Aquapuncture: A key holistic offering, acupuncture involves inserting fine needles at specific points to treat and prevent disease, improve circulation, relieve pain, and reduce inflammation. Aquapuncture involves injecting fluid at acupuncture points for continuous stimulation.
Chinese Herbal Medicine: Used in conjunction with acupuncture or as a standalone therapy, Chinese herbal medicine aims to enhance the healing process and address imbalances within the body.
Cold Laser Therapy (Low-Level Laser Therapy): This non-invasive therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular function, reducing pain and inflammation, and accelerating healing for various conditions.
Stem Cell Therapy: A cutting-edge regenerative medicine option offered for conditions like arthritis or injuries, utilizing the pet's own stem cells to promote healing and reduce inflammation.
Local Growth Removals: The ability to perform these procedures indicates surgical capability for addressing localized skin or subcutaneous growths.
Nutritional Guidance and Education: The team is committed to educating clients on maintaining pet health year-round through good nutrition and exercise, a crucial aspect of preventive care, especially in an integrative approach.

Mar 25, 2025 · Catherine KentWe have been seeing Dr G for over a decade now for the care of our pets. We simply could not trust him and his staff more with their lives. Dr G. is the most honest, empathic, and skilled vet we have ever dealt with. He and his entire staff are irreplaceable. 💗🐾
May 02, 2025 · BeccaMy westie Bonnie has what's called westie lung disease which is basically doggie copd. She was having trouble breathing and coughing, gagging and things were not going in a good direction for my 8 yr old pup. After finding a website based on this disease it said the only thing that could help( there isn't a cure unfortunately) would be cold laser therapy. After a visit to my vetinerian who prescribed several different drugs including prednisone, he was unfamiliar with cold laser therapy. Most vets aren't familiar. I Googled it and found Dr. Gucciardo and the awesome vet techs at integrative vet therapies. Bonnie was very uncomfortable and like a zombie because of the prednisone. Dr. G examined her and recommended that we do the therapy. After the 3rd visit she began showing improvement. This went on for a few months and she was definitely doing better but not great. Then Dr. G recommended a new treatment that he'd had success with called Shockwave sound therapy. It was never used on a dog for this purpose and with no guarantee of success and understanding that it wouldn't hurt her I agreed to let them give it a try. After 3 sessions they waited a month to see if she showed improvement. She did so we proceeded with additional treatments. Well the results have been amazing! We were able to cut most of her medications down considerably and her inhaler down to once a day. I live 50 miles away in Massapequa and it's an hour ride each way and I will absolutely not go anywhere else! We got our dog back! She turns 10 in April and I would have to say that her condition has DRASTICALLY IMPROVED! Yes all caps. That's how much better she is. She loves going there and is treated and loved by some the best vet techs I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you Dr. G and everyone at integrative vetinerian therapies. You have given my family our dog back. We still continue the treatments and she still shows symptoms such as occasionally coughing or gagging but the change in her condition is definitely greatly improved.
Mar 01, 2024 · Ed SDr. G and the entire staff are amazing! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My dog came here due to back issues and were recommended by a friend to come. Dr g is the best vet I’ve ever had and my dog LOVES him. He very knowledgeable and listens to all my concerns and takes the time to talk to you. My dog is also obsessed with all the staff and loves all the attention he gets from everyone. Thank you to everyone for always taking care of big Lou, you guys are the best and we love you all!!!
Feb 28, 2024 · Danica KazicI cannot recommend Integrative Vet Therapies enough. We came in for a second opinion on our Bloodhound's chronic ear infection that has been ongoing for 6 months. Today makes a week since our first appointment and we have seen the biggest improvement in that week alone, compared to the whole 6 months at our vet of YEARS! We spent almost $8,000 at our vet over the course of those months with NO relief for our girl. Our girl has grown aggressive regarding her ears now but Traci got in and knew exactly what she needed to do to help clean it up and give her the best chance at curing this infection once and for all. It takes the whole place to hold down our girl and every single person has been nothing but amazing! We are so so so thankful to have a great, local and reasonable vet we can rely on!
