Truly one of the best veterinary experiences I've ever had with my dog. I wanted to try acupuncture with my senior Jack Russell Terrier and picked Integrative Animal Health Center due to their positive reviews. After two wonderful visits I'm happy to add my own. The staff is fantastic and I'm especially blown away by the care I've received from Dr. Nicole Freeman. She is so kind, gentle, thorough, honest, and thoughtful. At each appointment she answered my questions in depth and committed to helping my nervous dog feel as comfortable as possible in the office. It took a few weeks to get my appointment, which reflects in the time and care they give each patient (it's worth the wait!). I also appreciate the abundance of parking, including 2 electric car charging spots in the back. Every visit has been a delight.

Welcome to Integrative Animal Health
Welcome to Integrative Animal Health, a veterinary care provider located at 556 Main St, Bolton, MA 01740, USA. Operating within the "Pet Hospital" platform category, Integrative Animal Health appears to offer a blend of conventional and alternative therapies, as suggested by the positive mention of acupuncture for a senior dog. This approach indicates a potential focus on holistic well-being for pets in the Bolton community.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment at Integrative Animal Health seems to be a point of both positive and negative experiences. One reviewer described their visits as a "delight," highlighting the comfort provided to a nervous dog and appreciating the convenience of ample parking, including electric car charging spots. This suggests a facility that considers the comfort of both pets and owners, with thoughtful amenities. However, contrasting reviews paint a different picture, with one client describing a "guilt tripping experience" and another detailing a significant delay in a new kitten's appointment, leading to potential health risks for their other pet. These differing accounts suggest that while some clients find the environment welcoming and accommodating, others may perceive a judgmental atmosphere or experience logistical challenges.
The services offered at Integrative Animal Health seem to encompass both traditional veterinary care and alternative therapies. The positive review specifically mentions acupuncture as a treatment sought for a senior dog, indicating that this holistic approach is part of their service offerings. It is reasonable to assume that they also provide conventional veterinary services such as wellness exams, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. The thoroughness of Dr. Nicole Freeman in answering questions and her commitment to making a nervous dog comfortable suggest a patient-centered approach to care. However, the negative reviews raise concerns about potential upselling of treatments and services, as well as possible delays in appointment scheduling, even for established clients with new pets. The instance of a delayed kitten appointment leading to untreated ear mites suggests potential shortcomings in timely preventative care in some cases.
A notable feature of Integrative Animal Health, according to one positive review, is the exceptional care provided by Dr. Nicole Freeman. She is described as kind, gentle, thorough, honest, and thoughtful, with a commitment to addressing owner concerns and ensuring pet comfort. The staff is also mentioned as "fantastic" by this reviewer. The availability of ample parking, including electric car charging, is another positive feature that adds convenience for clients. However, a significant contrasting feature highlighted in the negative reviews is the perceived judgmental attitude of at least one veterinarian, leading to feelings of guilt and pressure to accept potentially overpriced treatments. The considerable wait time for appointments, even for established clients with new pets, is another concerning feature raised by a reviewer, suggesting potential issues with scheduling and timely access to care.
The differing experiences suggest a potential inconsistency in the overall client experience at Integrative Animal Health. While some clients, like the one who sought acupuncture, have had "one of the best veterinary experiences" and praise the thorough and compassionate care, others have felt judged and have experienced logistical issues that impacted their pet's health. This dichotomy is crucial for local users to consider when evaluating this practice. The positive aspects, such as the availability of alternative therapies and the praised care of Dr. Freeman, may appeal to some, while the negative feedback regarding perceived pressure and appointment delays may be significant drawbacks for others.
Currently, no specific promotional information for Integrative Animal Health is available in the provided data. To inquire about any potential new client specials, discounts on specific services like acupuncture, or other promotions, it is recommended to contact them directly via phone at (978) 779-2955 or mobile phone at +1 978-779-2955. Given the mixed reviews regarding pricing, it would be prudent to inquire about the costs of services and discuss any financial concerns openly with the clinic staff.
In conclusion, Integrative Animal Health in Bolton, MA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While some clients have experienced exceptional care, particularly with Dr. Nicole Freeman and the availability of services like acupuncture, others have reported negative experiences related to perceived judgmental attitudes, potential upselling, and significant appointment delays. The environment seems to offer some conveniences like ample parking, but the overall client experience appears to vary. Local users should carefully consider these contrasting perspectives and perhaps seek further information or clarification from the clinic directly to determine if Integrative Animal Health aligns with their individual needs and preferences for veterinary care.

Oct 15, 2023 · Whitney LauritsenFirstly I would like to say that I am glad for the people who have had good experiences here, as our animals deserve nothing but. I understand I will sound bitter in saying this but I am being honest. Every time I/we went here with our dog it was a very guilt tripping experience from the VET. Guilt trippy and overpriced, talked you into accepting treatments and services out of GUILT not compassion and kindness or understanding, as if you were a vet yourself not an animal owner. We could never do “enough”. The vet techs and receptionists are very nice but the judgmental attitude from the veterinarian is unacceptable and I am a neurodivergent person urging them to have more empathy for people who want to take care of their animals but are not loaded. Perhaps we were the wrong demographic for them. My new kitten got a first appointment (we were already established as patients there with our dog) 2 MONTHS from when we first got her, and turns out she had EAR MITES and could have infected our dog which the team shamelessly guilted us for, although once we pointed out it was their fault for not seeing us sooner, they became quiet. We have zero idea of what ear mites look like. We now go to a new vet 30 minutes away instead of 5 minutes away. We were not asked why we left. I’m sure they will pay for this review to be deleted.
Apr 29, 2025 · Alf 13Absolutely love coming here! Everyone is so nice and it’s so hard to find a place with staff versed in exotic care. We come here often for acupuncture for my senior rabbit approaching 11 and it’s been helping his arthritis stay at a minimum.
Aug 21, 2024 · Paula SDr. Rogers took care of our dog Svea for over 15 years. We nothing but great things to say about our experience including the very difficult end of life decision. Highly recommended.
May 06, 2025 · Per GI’m new to this practice and have only seen Dr Parkis once, but the first visit was amazing. She took the time to listen and explain everything in detail. She was thorough and didn’t rush through the exam. I don’t think Ive ever had that long of an appointment before and I really appreciated that. The techs were awesome as well and really tried to make my Nari feel comfortable. The front office team is super great too. When they tell you they’ll get an answer for my question and call me back (whether it’s themselves or a tech), they really do! Not all practices operate well like this. I’m coming from Boston and I’m so happy to have made the choice to switch.
