I just wanted to take a moment to thank Dr. Parker and staff for their compassion and expertise as we navigated my pet’s rare condition and cancer. Sadly, I have come across veterinarians who have been less than kind and respectful when trying to find treatment for my senior pet with an ulcerative mass.. Dr. Parker’s gentle approach and genuine concern meant so much during a difficult time, not just for my pet, but for me as well. You helped make an impossible situation a little lighter, and I will always be grateful for that.

They have been our vet for years. Compassionate and caring as well as knowledgeable, this is absolutely the vet you take your pets to. Update: We had to euthanize our family dog this year and Indian head was nothing but compassionate and loving. Then, my dog Cassidy got an ear infection from our move back up to the area and Indian Head understandably wouldn’t call in meds without seeing her. On her routine exam (she just had her annual in April down in Texas) Dr Parker found a mass. She recommended lumpectomy, which Cassidy had done the next week. While it is a malignant cancer, Dr Parker’s due diligence in her routine exam caught the cancer as early as could be. Indian head has also been responsive and prompt in coordinating with Cassidy’s new oncologist. Highly recommend ! Ps-Cassidy probably gives the collar and experience a 1/10 but luckily she’s not writing reviews.

I've been bringing my dogs to this practice for 50yrs. I have always appreciated their efforts to provide continuity and consistency of service during transitions in staff and ownership. I live in VA but have found IHAH to be the best in service and compassion. Tried others. I always come back.

This is a review about boarding your pet at IHAH. Please do yourself a favor and take your dog elsewhere. I used this location for boarding several weeks ago and they overfed both of my dogs. One of the dogs came home with fleas but I didn’t think that it was as a result of her stay, so I gave them another shot several days ago. My dog came home with fleas again and the other dog had a scar on her nose which they attributed to her rubbing her face on the cage. Upon further inspection, it looks like to dog was bitten or something — basically, something other than the sorry excuse they gave me. I asked for them to send me pictures every day. The first few days were great but the third day the pictures were blurry (probably to hide the scar on the nose) and I didn’t receive pictures on the last day. I was so stressed during my vacation that I went to get my dogs as soon as they opened. The final straw for me is the fact I was charged for services I didn’t request. On the bill, it showed that they were administering medication to the dog that had a bleeding noise. I now wonder what the heck happened. When I called them about the charges, they didn’t even seem surprised and, the normally friendly receptionist, changed her tone to become hostile. I’m not sure what training they’ve received in these situations but, I work in customer service, and the first response should’ve been an apology. To make matters worse, instead of them giving me a refund, I was offered a credit towards other services at the hospital. For your own sanity, book another boarding facility for your pet. To make matters worse, you can’t pick up your pet on a Sunday. We are definitely not coming back here and plan to get our pet checked out at another vet. Additionally, I’m filing a formal complaint.

Made an appointment for my dog to have his anal glands expressed on the website. Day before the appointment the office called to say his rabies vaccine was overdue. I said ok I'll get the rabies vaccine and get his glands expressed. She then said he would need a wellness exam with the doctor since he "may" have a reaction from the vaccine. So they want to charge a doctor's exam fee, rabies vaccine and the gland fee. I cancelled the appointment. I DO NOT APPRECIATE TRYING TO BE UP SOLD AT THE VET'S OFFICE. THE GREED IS SICKENING!!!
