Our reception area is designed to be inviting, and our staff is trained to handle pets with patience and understanding. We believe that a positive experience starts from the moment you walk through our doors.
Our commitment to excellence extends to the range of services we offer. As a full-service Pet Hospital, Hopewell Animal Hospital provides a comprehensive suite of veterinary care to address various health needs throughout your pet's life. These services include routine wellness examinations, which are crucial for preventative care and early detection of potential health issues. During these check-ups, our skilled veterinarians conduct thorough physical assessments, discuss your pet's lifestyle and nutritional needs, and administer necessary vaccinations to protect them from common and potentially life-threatening diseases. We also offer parasite prevention and control programs, tailored to the specific risks in our local environment, ensuring your pet remains free from fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other harmful parasites.
Beyond preventative care, Hopewell Animal Hospital is equipped to handle a wide array of medical and surgical needs. Our experienced veterinarians are proficient in diagnosing and treating various illnesses and injuries. We have access to advanced diagnostic tools, which may include in-house laboratory services for rapid bloodwork and other essential tests, digital radiography (X-rays) for detailed imaging, and ultrasound for non-invasive internal examinations. These technologies enable us to quickly and accurately assess your pet's condition and develop an effective treatment plan.
For pets requiring surgical intervention, Hopewell Animal Hospital offers a range of surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue surgeries. Our surgical suite is equipped with modern anesthetic monitoring equipment, and our dedicated veterinary technicians provide attentive care before, during, and after the procedure to ensure your pet's safety and comfort. Pain management is a top priority, and we utilize appropriate protocols to keep your pet as comfortable as possible throughout their surgical journey.
Dental care is another vital aspect of your pet's overall health, and Hopewell Animal Hospital provides comprehensive dental services. These include routine dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar buildup, which can lead to periodontal disease and other systemic health problems. Our team can also address more complex dental issues, such as extractions and oral surgery, to ensure your pet maintains optimal oral health and fresh breath.
Recognizing that unexpected illnesses and injuries can occur, Hopewell Animal Hospital also offers urgent care services during our regular business hours. Our team is prepared to assess and treat a variety of urgent medical conditions, providing timely and effective care when your pet needs it most. While we are not a 24-hour emergency facility, we can provide initial stabilization and treatment and guide you to the nearest appropriate emergency veterinary center if necessary.

Apr 08, 2025 · Susie HeffernanMy husband brought our 10 week old cocker spaniel puppy, Ellie, to the office for her well check and vaccinations. The office was very clean, run seamlessly, and the doctor and staff were absolutely wonderful. It was near the end of the day but they took lots of time with our puppy and explained breed and age specific things for us to be aware of. Ellie was given excellent care & we'll definitely be bringing her back. They took time to recommend amounts & brands/types of foods to give her and what to avoid. They were specific about what we need to tell the groomers when the time comes for us to do that. They listened to questions and concerns we had for Ellie's future health needs because we were worried about parasites she could get with the many stray cats in our neighborhood. They began treatment that day to protect her from any problems that might occur. They were able to fit us in before the Thanksgiving holiday & it was much appreciated. We found their prices to be very reasonable for the exceptional care we received. Thank you to all for making this a good experience for our little Ellie!
Nov 28, 2024 · Christy D.They are very pricey and if they wasn’t the closest vet for an emergency visit I wouldn’t go there. Take your pet to paws and claws there prices are more affordable in todays economy.
May 09, 2025 · JchynaStaff always very willing to help. They come out to my car to take my dog in for his appointments. This is especially appreciated by me, as I have MS and a very bad back.
Apr 08, 2025 · Linda RickerWe found out on Friday our precious basset hound, Natalie was in end stage kidney failure and we needed to say goodbye. My husband made an appointment for Saturday and we spent our last day with her. They made both of them wait in a room for over an hour. She was vomiting and scared and he was traumatized as he had his time to say goodbye. This was cruel and unacceptable. Realize that once someone is there to do something so heartbreaking, they don’t need to be left waiting and trapped in a tiny room. Do better please in the future and make appointments where the family and the animals will be treated as a priority and make this less excruciating. Rest in peace sweet Natalie.
