If I could give this place zero stars I would. We had their service scheduled for a Saturday at 2:30. They called Friday evening and asked if they could move the time up to 1:00. Taking 1.5 hours away from my last moments with our beloved little boy. Then, on Saturday, the day of the service, Dr. Julie called and asked if she could come a half hour early at 12:30! To be nice we agreed. Dr. Julie arrived and was the most frigid and insensitive vet I have EVER met! She starts of course by taking payment (which was a process because she had to use my WI-FI and get the password for it). She also asked for donations of unwanted items. Keep in mind we are beside ourselves with grief already. Then she administers a sedative and went into my kitchen to sit on a mat on the floor while she waited for the shot to take effect. She kept calling out every 30 seconds to ask if he was asleep yet and to put a dark cloth over his eyes and don’t “stimulate” him until the shot kicks in! She was totally rushing the situation! My wife and I are crying out eyes out and beyond pissed at her! She then barges in and gives him another dose of sedative (it looked like a lot too!). Then after he is asleep she administers the lethal dose, goes and gets a basket, puts my little boy in it and then asks to use the bathroom! The nerve! While I had to sit there, completely inconsolable, with his lifeless body, eyes open and all. An image I will NEVER forget! The whole time she was completely unsympathetic and cold. She never once even pet Manny. A true executioner. Needless to say this was a horrible experience and we strongly urge everyone to NEVER use this service! If you do use them then DO NOT get Julie! My wife and I are sick from how terrible this experience was. Not how we wanted to say goodbye to our little boy. To make all of the above worse, the company sends his death certificate and an invoice in an email! No “sorry for your loss” or anything! This company sucks and is clearly about the money (it was $895 for Saturday service and cremation).

Welcome to Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California
Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California, located at 360 E First St #109, Tustin, CA 92780, USA, offers a specialized service within the "Pet Hospital" category, focusing on providing compassionate and convenient end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. Recognizing the profound bond between pets and their families, this service aims to provide a peaceful and dignified transition for animals facing the end of their lives, minimizing stress for both the pet and their owners. You can reach them at (714) 454-4080 or their mobile number, +1 714-454-4080.
The core feature of Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California is the provision of euthanasia services within the familiar and comforting environment of the pet's home. This eliminates the need for stressful car rides and clinic visits during a sensitive time. The service is designed to allow pet owners to spend precious final moments with their beloved companions in a setting where the pet feels safe and loved. This approach can be particularly beneficial for elderly, frail, or anxious pets who may become distressed by travel or veterinary clinic environments.
Based on customer reviews, the experiences with Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California appear to vary significantly. One customer recounted a deeply negative experience, citing issues with scheduling changes, a perceived lack of empathy and rushed demeanor from one of the veterinarians, Dr. Julie, and concerns about the handling of their pet's body after the procedure. This отзыв detailed feelings of distress and disappointment with the level of care and sensitivity received during a very emotional time. The issues raised included the veterinarian's focus on payment and requests for donations during the appointment, the manner in which the sedation and euthanasia were administered, and the lack of compassionate interaction with the pet.
In contrast, another customer shared a positive experience, highlighting the sweetness and helpfulness of the entire company, including the phone staff and Dr. Lisa, the veterinarian who came to their home. This отзыв praised Dr. Lisa for explaining the process step by step and for the care taken in returning the pet's remains in a nice box with a paw print and fur clipping. This account emphasizes the compassionate and supportive approach of some members of the team, providing comfort and care during a difficult time.
The services offered by Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California primarily revolve around the euthanasia procedure itself. This typically involves the administration of a sedative to ensure the pet is relaxed and comfortable, followed by a humane overdose of an anesthetic medication that gently stops the heart. The process is intended to be peaceful and pain-free. Following the euthanasia, the service may also include options for aftercare, such as cremation and the return of ashes, as indicated in one of the reviews where the pet was returned home in a special box.
The environment in this context is not a traditional clinic setting but rather the pet's own home. This familiar environment is a key feature of the service, aiming to provide a more peaceful and less stressful experience for the pet and their family. The focus is on creating a calm and loving atmosphere during the final moments. The reviews, however, suggest that the emotional environment created by the attending veterinarian can significantly impact the overall experience for the grieving family.
Features of Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California include the convenience of at-home service, eliminating travel and waiting room stress. The potential for personalized attention and the ability for family members to be present in a comfortable setting are also significant features. Some reviewers noted the provision of memorial items such as paw prints and fur clippings, which can be a comforting gesture for grieving owners.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. It is advisable to contact Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California directly to inquire about their current pricing for at-home euthanasia services and any additional options for aftercare, such as cremation or memorial keepsakes. The price mentioned in one negative review was $895 for a Saturday service including cremation, but this may vary based on location, day of the week, and the size of the pet.
Given the contrasting experiences in the customer reviews, it is important for potential clients to communicate their expectations and concerns clearly when arranging for this service. Understanding the protocols and the approach of the specific veterinarian who will be attending the appointment may help ensure a more positive and supportive experience during a very sensitive time. The availability of different veterinarians within the practice, as suggested by the отзыв mentioning Dr. Julie and Dr. Lisa, indicates that the quality of the experience may depend on the individual providing the service.
Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California aims to provide a valuable service to the local community by offering a compassionate alternative to in-clinic euthanasia. The convenience of having a veterinarian come to your home can provide comfort and peace of mind during a difficult time. However, the variability in customer experiences highlights the importance of clear communication with the provider to ensure that the service meets the emotional and practical needs of both the pet and their family in their final moments together.

Feb 27, 2025 · Chad AdamsWhen my 20 year old baby got really sick, I reached out to this company in hopes of making the right decision for him. I wound up calling and changing my mind, but when I couldn't delay it anymore, I called again. While absolutely difficult to do, the entire company was so sweet and helpful. From the women on their phones as well as Dr. Lisa coming to the house and explaining step by step what was going to happen, they were all so sweet and understanding. They also tool such good care of getting him back home in a very nice box with his pretty little paw print. While it was an absolutely heartbreaking decision, these sweet people made us feel cared for through every step. Thank you all again for all your help during the time, especially Dr. Lisa and Debbie for his print and fur clipping.
Dec 21, 2024 · Adrienne SourbeerI just want to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr Daniel and the team at Home Pet Euthanasia of SC. Honestly this was the hardest day of my life but Dr. Daniel was an angel on earth. He was gentle, kind and loving to my Rocco and my wife and I couldn't be more grateful. After 14 beautiful years we knew it was time. Daniel if you're reading this thank you so much for your gentle loving kindness. Rocco's transition was peaceful and filled with love and we couldn't have gotten through that without you. Thank you for enabling us to give Rocco this gift of transition to wholeness right here at home amongst his family and loved ones. We wouldn't have had it any other way. Wishing you all the best. Adrienne & Cristina
Jan 16, 2024 · Cristina SanchezI'm so thankful to Dr. Daniel and Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California for their gentle, kind, and loving care they took in euthanizing our Ed. Ed was such a wonderful part of our family and he deserved to pass on peacefully and with the love of his family. Dr. Daniel and HPEOSC were exactly the team we needed to help us get through this very difficult day and I would recommend them to anyone struggling with the tough process of laying their fur baby to rest. They were compassionate and caring from the very first call through the end of the process, and I'm positive we made the best for choice for our Ed and in using their services. We miss our big boy Ed so much
Jan 26, 2023 · Yvonne Flores (Westcliff Properties)Dr. Daniel’s was very compassionate, empathetic, and everything you would want a doctor to be during this difficult time. He did not rush us and explained the entire process very well and gently. Our dog Rocky was able to transition in his favorite spot surrounded by his family. Despite how hard it was, I am grateful for the service they provided and the care taken during.
