As a Pet Hospital, Hillcrest Animal Hospital offers a range of services designed to address various aspects of your pet's health. While specific details about the hospital's environment and facilities are not provided in the given information, a typical pet hospital strives to create a comfortable and clean environment for both pets and their owners. This usually includes examination rooms for consultations, surgical suites for procedures, areas for housing and monitoring hospitalized animals, and potentially diagnostic imaging facilities such as X-ray and ultrasound.

The services typically offered at a Pet Hospital like Hillcrest Animal Hospital can include routine wellness examinations and vaccinations to prevent common diseases. These check-ups are crucial for early detection of potential health issues and maintaining your pet's overall health. Preventative care also often includes parasite control for fleas, ticks, and heartworms, as well as nutritional counseling to ensure your pet is receiving a balanced diet appropriate for their age and lifestyle.

In the event of illness or injury, a Pet Hospital provides diagnostic services to determine the underlying cause of your pet's condition. This may involve laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, as well as imaging techniques like radiography (X-rays) and ultrasonography. Based on the diagnosis, veterinarians can offer medical treatment, which may include medication, fluid therapy, and other supportive care.

For conditions requiring surgical intervention, Pet Hospitals are equipped to perform a variety of procedures. This can range from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Anesthesia monitoring and pain management are critical components of surgical care to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet.

While the provided information includes a positive review highlighting the helpful and professional nature of the doctor and the successful recovery of a pet, it also contains serious negative feedback. One review details a distressing experience where a cat under their care was allegedly denied hospitalization due to upfront payment issues and subsequently died. This review expresses shock at a perceived lack of compassion and mentions a reported past license suspension and ethics course completion by the lead veterinarian. Furthermore, it cites another review alleging negligence and an unusual non-disclosure agreement related to a lost pet.

It is important for local users to consider all available information, including both positive and negative feedback, when making decisions about their pet's care. While one customer reported a positive experience with a helpful and professional doctor, the other reviews raise significant concerns about the hospital's practices and compassion.

Given the conflicting nature of the provided information, it is advisable for potential clients to conduct further research and consider their own priorities when choosing a veterinary care provider. This may involve seeking additional reviews from various sources, inquiring directly with Hillcrest Animal Hospital about their policies and procedures, and potentially visiting the facility to assess the environment and interact with the staff.

When choosing a Pet Hospital, factors to consider often include the qualifications and experience of the veterinary staff, the range of services offered, the availability of emergency care, the hospital's facilities and equipment, and the overall reputation and client communication. It is crucial to find a veterinary team that you trust and that makes you feel comfortable and confident in the care they provide for your pet.

Hillcrest Animal Hospital, as a local Pet Hospital in Hudson, WI, aims to serve the community's pet care needs. However, the publicly available reviews present a mixed picture. While one review praises their helpfulness and professionalism, others express serious concerns about their compassion, ethical practices, and handling of critical situations. Potential clients are encouraged to weigh all available information carefully and make an informed decision based on their individual needs and their pet's specific requirements.

It is recommended that pet owners prioritize open communication with their chosen veterinary care provider, ensuring they understand the treatment plans and are comfortable with the level of care being provided. Building a strong relationship with your veterinarian is key to ensuring the long-term health and well-being of your beloved pets.

For local users in Hudson, WI, seeking veterinary care, Hillcrest Animal Hospital is one option to consider. However, due to the significant negative feedback present in the provided reviews, it is strongly recommended to conduct thorough due diligence before entrusting your pet's health to this facility. Exploring other Pet Hospital options in the area and gathering more information may be beneficial in making the best choice for your animal companion.

Please remember that choosing a veterinary care provider is a critical decision for your pet's health and your peace of mind. Take the time to research and find a Pet Hospital that aligns with your values and provides the level of care and compassion you expect for your furry family members.

We were looking after our friend's cats for an extended period. One of them developed a sudden and serious condition that required hospitalization. My roommate was rudely dismissed by the woman on the phone because he couldn't afford to pay up front (even though the cat's owners would have paid the next morning.) The cat is dead now, and I had to break the news to our friends who trusted us to look after him. He was four years old. After reading additional reviews, I am shocked at the marked lack of compassion by these people. The fact that the lead veterinarian lost her license and had to take an ethics course to have it reinstated should tell you all you need to know. If that's not enough, read the review where the veterinarian lost the woman's dog and offered her $400 for a new one, contingent on the woman signing a non-disclosure agreement. What kind of veterinarian has a non-disclosure agreement? These people should be charged with gross negligence and animal cruelty. It would be more compassionate to personally end your pet's life than to take them to this place. I am disgusted. Hillcrest, when you read this review, I want you to realize something: you people are parasites. All of you should resign and work a job where you won't ever have responsibility for a living thing again. I want you to realize that you bear responsibility for the death of a sweet, beautiful animal. I want you to remember that fact for the rest of your lives.

The staff at Hillcrest are the best! They took well care of my cat and got her the care she needed on short notice. They were also very accommodating and provided my children with toys and activities to keep them busy. Highly recommend!

I love Hillcrest! We have been taking our pets to Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Hudson for a few years and have ALWAYS had positive experiences. The staff is incredibly friendly and caring, and the vets are knowledgeable and compassionate. Our GUS loves going to the vet - he gets to see all his "vet-tech friends". Some days his tail wags so fast I think it might fly off. I highly recommend them!"

Ive had the most pleasure working with Dr Farmer and Dr Oltman, I recommend either of them to anyone and everyone. We recently had to put our kitty down and just met Dr Oltman. Him, his vet tech, and the front desk staff were very compassionate during this difficult time as sad emotions were high and decisions were tough. Im very thankful for both of these gentleman (and supporting staff) for patience and knowledge as they have been excellent to work with for both our dog and late cat. Whether it was routine check ups or emergency visits we always felt comfortable in their care. Thank you very much for all you do!!
