I highly recommend Highland Veterinary Hospital. Schedule Availability: The staff was very attentive, and their flexibility was a big reason I decided to go with them. Other vets I contacted in Maryland were either unresponsive or didn’t make any effort to fit us in for our puppy’s first-week checkup. But Highland understood we had a new puppy and got us in right away, which was a huge relief. I’m glad they did because we learned our puppy tested positive for a few issues. Front Desk Staff: Everyone at the front desk is friendly and helpful. They’re great about explaining things and are flexible with scheduling. I never feel rushed, and the office doesn’t seem overbooked or crowded, which is a nice change from other places. The Doctor: The vet is very personable and caring. He even has his own dog that greeted us! He not only provided great care for our puppy but also gave us tips on trimming and grooming to help prevent health problems, which was really helpful. My 11-year-old daughter thought he was funny and really nice—she even said she wished he could be her doctor! All in all, we’re very happy with Highland Veterinary Hospital. If you’re looking for a local vet that’s personal and caring, I definitely recommend them.”

I love the staff here. They are very kind, helpful, and thoughtful. The staff knew it was difficult for me to say bye to my dog and did everything to make sure that both of us were comfortable. I really appreciate their passion and commitment to care and more vets need to be like this office. They are truly one of a kind ❤️

Dr. Gary and staff are excellent. We take our cats there and they receive very good care. They are friendly, efficient and hard working. Staff is excellent and accommodating and always treat the patients and pet parents with respect. I highly recommend them. Prices are reasonable and they give you options for treatments that are reasonable, logical and collaborative.

Big shout-out to the Highland Veterinary Hospital team. Today I had to put down my 16 year old dog, and Dr. Gary and his team came all the way out to my house so that he could pass comfortably in a familiar place. They were professional and compassionate throughout the entire process, asking me questions and explaining everything along the way. They handled all paperwork in advance so that I could just be in the moment to say goodbye to my dog. All of our clinic visits have been very pleasant as well, and I never feel like they were pushing unnecessary things on me. Highly recommend!

I LOOOOVE HIGHLAND VET!!!! I wish i could give a hundred stars!! Not only are they super affordable but the vets and receptionists are so kind and amazing at their job! I have four kittens and my old vet was really rough with the way he handled them but Dr.Gary is the best vet i’ve ever had and he is so gentle and quick with them! I would recommend this vet to every person in the world!!!
