Hickory Tree has been our veterinarian choice for 3 years now and they’ve done a wonderful job with our goldendoodle. We love the fact that if we’re not able to stay with our pet for an appointment that we can schedule drop off services for the day as well. I love their boarding options as well! Anytime we have to board or fur baby we book him a suite with a tv and bed. Their themes rooms are so cute! We love Hickory Tree !

Dr. Trexler has helped us with our senior dogs (past and present). She is patient, experienced and caring. Although our dogs get anxious just going to the vet she does her best and gets us out as quickly as possible. Thank you!

This place is not worth your time or money. I shopped around for a good month looking for the best wellness plan for my pup and settled with Hickory Tree. Unfortunately I am roped into payments with them until June. I will not be returning regardless. These people do not communicate correctly or clearly. My dog is 8 and I have never been more thrown off by a vets office & I’ve lived in three different states in those years. What went wrong with my first visit was that I was charged $50 more than originally agreed upon to start the wellness plan. The tech went over what shots would be given after I signed and agreed to wellness plan. Apparently two of the shots gone over were not included in plan. Whatever. Second visit, I return to finish second round of shots with my pup (included in wellness plan) and again was leaving with a $50 hidden fee charge for them to retest my dogs urine. No one again said it was not included in the plan. Just that they would be doing it. On top of that they took my dogs weight down incorrectly at the first visit and four weeks later were trying to tell me my guy gained 10 pounds in four weeks. When I said that was his previous weight from a year and a half ago (before being fixed) after I insisted this was the case and the last visit we talked about getting his weight down, the vet insinuated that they didn’t put the wrong weight originally and that I was arguing them about it too much. At this point, my dogs teeth really need to be cleaned and was my main motivator for starting this wellness plan. The day comes, I drop my pup off and a few hours later they call me saying Thor needs a “couple” of teeth removed. I’m like okay, what’s the price. Pricing is outrageously high $500 for one hour of work. (Found a place that does full oral cleaning for less for next time) and after 5 minutes of them trying to convince me to go ahead the teeth pulling, I ask how many teeth really need to be pulled and they said TWELVE TEETH. Assuming we all run off the basis that a couple is two and a few is three or more. Twelve is VERY far from two and is over 1/4 of my dogs mouth. Thankfully I didn’t go through with it as my 8 year old pup would have been missing half his teeth so this clinic could make a fast cash grab. None of his teeth are falling out. On top of that the two times I saw this vet in person I asked if he could check my dogs ears out and I didn’t even see him glance inside of them. Save your money this guy is in it for the money and NOT the pets. The staff is not informed on what they are selling. Multiple times prices changed and honestly pet care shouldn’t be this complicated.

Our dog Shiloh was a part time patient here as our vet didn't have laser treatments. Yesterday, I called them to see if we could get in because Shiloh back legs had gotten too bad for her to stand. They got us in within 1 1/2 half of me calling. We decided to put her down later in the day when my wife could get there. They were very compassionate and truly made that very difficult decision as comfortable as possible. Our thanks to everyone!

I took my 13 years old dog last February and 2 weeks after they gave some steroids my dog died. I took him there because I saw really good review but after my visit. I ended up with a lot question that I asked to the vet and she didnt give me a real explanation. He was old and I believe he could live more but they didnt treated him right. He was walking slow and I noticed he didnt want to move his neck that much so they told me the only way to know it was with a radiography and that’s what we did. The vet told me she noticed something in his neck but she wasnt sure if its was a tumor because it was hard to see due to of the position of the neck. I asked if he had arthritis and she said yes but she never gave me anything for the arthritis she just gave me a steroid. The first 4 days of steroids he seem back to normal and after that he started vomiting blood after that I went to another vet it was too late the steroids completely destroyed his stomach. I wish I would never have taken him there. I was part of my family and i thought i was doing the right thing taking him there but not
