Hershire Animal Hospital

I've been here several times for my pup Chloe. We have visited many vets over the years. This one is the best. Hands down. Chloe can have a bit of an attitude, they love her there just the same. 5 stars all day. They really seem to enjoy what they do there.

I could not be more satisfied that Hershire was my dog's vet. The staff is amazing, and I was constantly surprised by bills that were less than I expected. For 13 years I had planned to do in home euthanasia when the time came. I trusted Hershire with this also and wouldn't have changed a thing. They care and it shows.

Took my 1 year old pup to Hershire They told us all her tests were fine but that she had a foreign object in her that would pass. They sent us home with a supplement and medication for her diarrhea. We spent over 1,000 for them to tell us she was going to be fine. They did no tests on her even though she had all the symptoms of parvo. On Friday my pup was still not well. So we rushed her to shores emergency were they informed us she had parvovirus and that she wasn’t going to make it. Hershire did not even catch that she had parvo, she had all the symptoms and they didn’t even test her for it. They even ensured us that we should keep trying to get her to drink and eat. It feels like They took our money and that’s all they cared about. By the time we got to shores it was too late and our pup needed to be put down. I feel that Hershire failed us. If we would have caught the parvo early on our baby would still be here. Do not take your dog here if you care about them.

I had my puppy spayed there. The staff was fantastic and worked well with her. No complications at all from the surgery. When I picked her up after the procedure, she bumped into a Christmas display table in the waiting area because of the cone on her head. I felt so bad but again the staff was understanding. Highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

We’ve been loyal to Hershire since the day we adopted our dog. Even though their prices are extremely high, we’ve stuck with them because they’ve been our pup’s primary vet since day one. Our dog has epilepsy and needs medication twice a day to control his seizures. Not long ago, Hershire ran a blood test (because they refused to refill his prescription without it) and told us that his medication levels were low enough to allow for a dosage increase if necessary. Recently, he has started having breakthrough seizures. When I called to request an increase in his dosage for the next prescription, they refused, insisting that we pay for another blood test (the same one we just had). They previously told us there was room to increase the dosage, but now they want more money for another test. Their only solution is to provide us with a week's worth of medication while we look for a new vet (as if I can get into a new vet within a week). When I mentioned that they didn’t require another test the last time we increased his dosage and that this situation felt inconsistent with our previous experience, the office manager had no answer and instead chose to continue belittling me. She was incredibly rude and defensive, even accusing me of saying things that never came out of my mouth. At this point, I don’t trust them and am very offput by the office staff. We are actively seeking a new vet. This place feels like a scam, trying to squeeze as much money out of us as possible. Update: it is hilarious how these people are responding to these bad reviews with 100% lies and slander about how the situation actually unfolded. I absolutely did not once yell at a single person over the phone and the only person whose behavior was inappropriate was the office manager. She was completely out of line the way she spoke to me and should find a new career that does not involve customer service. 22 months is also a lie. We had this test done within the last 3 months because they refused to refill the medication without it. Reporting all of this to BBB.
