Great place with great people! There are closer vets to where we live but Heritage has the best staff. One of my dogs was in heart failure last year and they were super helpful and calm during an emergency situation. Not only did they fit us in immediately and got us to the specialist/other hospital quickly, they took care of some of the next steps to help save me money and the next vet time. That evening our vet called to check in and make sure we were seen at the other hospital and to make sure my little pup was taken care of. They really do care about our pets like their own.

Whether for grooming or health needs, people are friendly and caring. My nervous little puppy mill rescue is calm through each experience - that says everything! Thank you for four years of gentle and warm care. (Now that he’s lost almost all of his teeth, his tongue falls out of his mouth. So adorable! 😊) Our most recent visit was for Paxton’s grooming. Lydia always does an amazing job! And I appreciate the ease that pre-booking the year’s appointments brings. (The pre-booking credit is nice too.) Thank you.

I was a client at Heritage Veterinary Hospital for over 10 years, even back when they had a facility across the road. Looking back, I wish I had trusted my instincts sooner. When my 1.6 lb dog ended up with a dislocated jaw during a teeth cleaning, I had concerns but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Over the years, I had multiple dogs treated here, but my experience with my fourth dog was especially frustrating. He suffered from chronic vomiting and diarrhea, and despite spending thousands over three years, the vets kept telling me, ‘We’re not there yet.’ Even when I requested further testing, they seemed to overlook important possibilities. When my dog was finally diagnosed with pancreatitis, I was upset to learn that the Fortiflora they recommended was actually not beneficial for his condition. They also kept pushing additional blood tests even when his symptoms had not changed. The hydrolyzed food they prescribed didn’t help either. It seemed unnatural and unappetizing, almost like plastic. After watching the documentary Pet Fooled, I started researching holistic approaches. I realized how over-vaccination, prescription diets, and certain medications may have contributed to my dog’s ongoing issues. Since switching to a raw food diet and a more natural health approach, he has been healthier than ever. No more chronic vomiting, no unnecessary medications, and he genuinely enjoys his meals. I used to have to convince him to eat his food with toppers otherwise it was on the wall. Now it's gone in less than 30 seconds. I now think he was trying to tell me in the only way he thought i'd listen that this is not what his body needs. I urge all pet owners to research species appropriate diets and explore the studies of vets like Dr. Karen Becker, Dr. Judy Morgan, and Dr. Andrew Jones. Since making the switch, my dog is truly THRIVING and enjoying proper nutrition, minimal exposure to unnecessary meds, and a more natural approach to health. My experience with this clinic made me realize that while vets play a role in pet care, they are ultimately a for-profit business. Instead of relying on them for everything, we should prioritize investing in better nutrition for our pets, because they deserve it. EDIT: Since the owner claimed not to know me, I've attached evidence ranging from my first dog in 2008 to the most recent dog I took there.
