Evidently, animals do not have to be under control at this facility. During an extensive wait for our pet, a dog came through the door and jumped toward my lap, scratching (drawing blood) my partner as he was trying to keep the dog away from me. We asked the owner to keep her dog under control. The owner proceeded to the front desk, chatting and laughing with the receptionist, then turned to us, shouting obscenities about why we didn't like her dog. Our reply was "I have no problem with your dog, just please keep it under control." Interactions escalated (all the while she stood at the front desk, with no intervention from them) and cops were called, but NEVER did anyone who works at this facility ask us if we were okay. We were told our pet would be ready as early as 2 pm, at 4:25 we finally had our pet in the car. Never again!! Please watch out for yourself and your pets at this facility. Lisa Bryant

Welcome to Harvest Valley Veterinary Services
Welcome to Harvest Valley Veterinary Services, your local Pet Hospital situated at 609 S Division St, Mahomet, IL 61853, USA. As a dedicated Pet Hospital, we aim to provide a range of services to support the health and well-being of your cherished animals. We understand the vital role pets play in your lives and are committed to offering care that meets their diverse needs.
While specific details about the environment of Harvest Valley Veterinary Services are not explicitly mentioned in the provided information, it is typical for a Pet Hospital to offer a clean and organized setting designed to facilitate the examination and treatment of animals. You can likely expect designated areas for waiting, examinations, and potentially more specialized spaces for procedures or recovery, depending on the scope of services offered.
Based on the available reviews, Harvest Valley Veterinary Services appears to offer urgent care services, as one customer mentioned being seen the day after Thanksgiving for their cat's urgent needs when other clinics were unavailable. This suggests a commitment to being accessible when your pet requires timely attention, which is a significant feature for a local Pet Hospital.
The positive review also highlights flexibility in scheduling appointments, which can be very convenient for pet owners with busy lives. Being able to get your pet seen without undue delay is an important aspect of quality veterinary care. Furthermore, the practice of following up with a call a day or two after the visit to check on the pet demonstrates a caring and attentive approach to patient well-being.
The review also specifically mentions two veterinarians, Dr. Nourie and Dr. Andrews, describing them as "super warm, compassionate and helpful." This positive feedback regarding the veterinarians' demeanor and helpfulness is a crucial aspect of the service provided, as it directly impacts the comfort and trust of both the pet and the owner. Seeing different vets within the practice and having positive experiences with both suggests a consistent standard of care from the veterinary team.
However, it is important to also consider the less positive feedback provided. One customer recounted a distressing experience involving an unrestrained dog in the waiting area that resulted in an injury to their partner. This review also mentioned a lack of intervention from the facility staff during a subsequent verbal altercation with the dog owner and a perceived delay in the pet being ready for pickup. This account raises concerns about the management of the waiting area and the overall attention to client comfort and safety in that instance.
Considering both reviews provides a more balanced perspective. Harvest Valley Veterinary Services seems to have strengths in providing accessible urgent care, flexible scheduling, and having warm and helpful veterinarians like Dr. Nourie and Dr. Andrews. These are significant positives for a Pet Hospital serving the local community.
On the other hand, the negative review points to potential areas for improvement, particularly concerning the management of interactions between clients and the control of animals within the facility, as well as client communication and wait times. It's crucial for any Pet Hospital to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all visitors, both human and animal.
Regarding specific services beyond urgent care, the reviews do not detail the full range offered by Harvest Valley Veterinary Services. Typically, a Pet Hospital provides a variety of services, which may include routine wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, surgical procedures, diagnostic services (like blood work and imaging), and possibly the sale of pet-related goods such as food and medications. To get a comprehensive understanding of all the services available at Harvest Valley Veterinary Services, it would be best to contact them directly.
No promotional information was included in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot share any current specials or offers that Harvest Valley Veterinary Services might be providing. For any information on promotions or specific service offerings, please reach out to them using the provided phone number: (217) 586-6800 or +1 217-586-6800.
In conclusion, Harvest Valley Veterinary Services in Mahomet, IL, is a Pet Hospital that has received positive feedback regarding its urgent care availability, scheduling flexibility, and the compassionate nature of its veterinarians, Dr. Nourie and Dr. Andrews. However, a concerning experience shared by another customer highlights potential issues with the waiting area environment and client interactions. We recommend that local users consider both aspects when making decisions about their pet's care and perhaps contact the clinic directly for more information on their services and policies.

May 10, 2025 · Lisa BryantReally pleased with this veterinary service. I found them the day after Thanksgiving when my cat needed some urgent care and they were the only ones who could see me that holiday Friday. I have since taken another cat and have been pleased both times. They're super flexible with scheduling and they consistently call a day or two later to check on the cat. I saw two different vets, Dr. Nourie and Dr. Andrews. Both were super warm, compassionate and helpful. I would highly recommend.
Mar 01, 2025 · aliardissiWe just moved to the area from out of state and needed a new vet for our 2 dogs and 2 cats. Feel like we hit the jackpot! So lucky to have Harvest Valley be the closest vet to us, because today was the easiest vet visit I've ever experienced. Everyone is so nice and just communicates super well! They even keep you updated on cost estimate throughout the appointment. Dr. Jessica Nourie was awesome with my cats and answered all of my questions. I feel very confident in her treatment decisions. Such a thorough appointment but they also got us in and out amazingly fast! Highly recommend.
Nov 15, 2024 · Julie McCoughanDr Alex and the team were amazing. We think my doggo had a stroke this weekend. They were very up front about options and pricing. This is my first time having a dog and his team was very comforting while I navigate my dog's senior years. Thank you so much!
