We had boarded our dogs on a total of two occasions. First time seemed okay but the second was not so great. When I went to pick them up, they horribly smelled of urine. I asked how they were over the course of a week's stay. All I got was a "good". Thought that was strange. Over the course of the next several weeks one of our dogs started having bad anxious episodes. Breaking out of her kennel, chewing on things she doesn't ever chew on, getting into mischief, etc. Out of her 5 years of life, she has never done that and has been boarded several times before this instance. I don't have any proof that abuse or neglect were at play ( but the smelling of urine all over them makes me suspect), I suspect something happened during their stay that was not positive and was not brought to my attention. So for that, I do not trust them with my animals and I will no longer do business with them.

Dec 31, 2024 · Zachary Allawosi took my cane corso to harrogate animal clinic to be fixed , she was a very healthy dog and had not had any health problems prior to this! after we brought her home she would not get up to even go out to pee for 4 days and wouldn’t even get up to go outside! i have had many other dogs fixed in the past and i knew that this was not right and something was wrong ! i called a few times over the next week with major concern only to be blowed off by the little girl who works up in the front office ! finally after taking pics of her wound and calling over and over they told me to bring her in to get her staples removed early ! at this time her wound was pretty red around it!! so i took her in and they sd the wound wasn’t infected gave her some more antibiotics and said that sometimes big dogs just have a harder time getting over the surgery! so she seemed to start acting some better after a couple days and for the next few weeks she seemed better but still not 100%! then she started throwing up one night and then over the next few days she seem to be getting sicker and sicker. so i took her back after she had a very bad night. i was there when they opened becouse she was so sick ! no i did not have an appointment but this was a dog that was there patient and so when i went in a told the girl up front what had happened she went to talk to the dr and came back and sd that they would see her but becouse this didn’t pertain to the surgery that they would be chargeing me a $150 emergency fee! well this upset me but i sd whatever i just need help for my dog!! so they took us back and took her to do blood work and came back and told me that she was in kidney failure and would need 24hr care and that there wasn’t any cure so my dog was dieing ! and of course this had nothing to do with the surgery she had just had a little over a moth ago ! the surgery that i had called and exspessed concern over many times! i ended up taking my dog and leaving after the staff treated me very rudely ! the only thing they kept saying was that is wasn’t related to the surgery!!! so i took her to dr. russell where she ended up having to be put to sleep the next day ! they was very nice and helpful ! i will never take another animal to harrogate animal hospital ! they killed my dog and then i left without paying for the emergency fee and her blood work that day due to being so pissed off and upset and now they have my bill for my dog on my mothers bill , why we have no idea !!!! so they are billing her and me for the charges which is very illegal!!! when my mother called the little smart ass girl that thinks she is vet up front was very rude to my mother! i wouldn’t take anything you love and care about to this vet!! worst experience of my life with a vet !!! They need to be reported to the board!!!
Mar 11, 2025 · braybled 0708First and foremost, I loathe taking my fur babies to any vet, as I get very anxious. When I metthe staff all my anxiousness melted away! I will tell you that this place is the place to go in Claiborne County! The staff was courteous and helpful. And answered all of my questions. I took my cat to get neutered and was notified in a timely manner. Overall, simply a great place to take your pet! George is a happy customer!
Jul 11, 2023 · Devin JonesSadly I wldnt take a dead rat to Harrogate Hospital for Animals! We had a Miniature Dachshund and took him in to be seen for a swollen eye. I was told that he possibly had blastomycosis and there wld need to be blood drawn to be sure. So I paid out of pocket for his visit, tests and we were sent home with eye drops. He got worse, took him back and got more eye drops and a steroid (no mention of blood test results), and now the infection was in his other eye. Was seen several more times and he just got worse. Then after 2 weeks the vet called me back and said the lab lost his blood sample. So I took him back in to have more blood drawn. I was told that he had the blastomycosis in both eyes, wld be totally blind and now it was in his lungs. The vet never ordered the correct antifungal meds until it was too late. My 9 month old perfectly healthy miniature dachshund passed away today from blastomycosis pneumonia 😭💔We had him to 3 more vets and all have said the same thing. If he had been given the antifungal medication after the first vet visit he wld have still been here. My son is heartbroken and I am furious at the negligence and greed! There was no reason for our precious baby to have died. He was perfectly fine with a swollen eye! Please DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE!!!! Pictures of our sweet baby 😭💔
Mar 13, 2025 · Jennifer PendletonThe girl at the front desk is your only source of information about your pet, appears the veterinarian is afraid to come in contact with pet owners! Found the vet techs haven’t any bed side manners! The front desk girl is very helpful and friendly! I will never take a pet here again!
