Based on the glowing reviews from local pet owners, Halifax County Veterinary Center is highly regarded for its organization, the kindness and thoughtfulness of its staff, and the quality of pet care provided. One reviewer expressed immense gratitude for the care their Husky Hound received, noting the facility's excellent organization and the pet's return to "absolute normal Health." They extended their thanks to the entire staff, emphasizing the positive impact on both the pet and the owners.

Another customer shared their exceptional experience bringing their rescue Great Dane, Karma, to the clinic. They highlighted the contrast with another vet who seemed inconvenienced by their call, noting that at Halifax County Veterinary Center, Karma was instantly shown love and care, especially by Taylor, the Veterinary Assistant. This reviewer praised Dr. Collins for his superb care, particularly in identifying two previously unknown health issues. Instead of immediately pursuing extensive diagnostics for apparent problems, Dr. Collins prioritized treatment to make Karma, a senior Great Dane, comfortable more quickly, while also being mindful of the cost. The reviewer found the bill to be "extremely reasonable," with the bulk of the expense being the necessary medication, with the possibility of exploring more affordable maintenance options later. This positive experience led them to schedule appointments for their other dogs, stating that "Everyone is friendly, courteous, and wonderful with animals." They wholeheartedly recommend the clinic and encourage others to make an appointment for their pets.

These testimonials paint a picture of a 'Pet Hospital' that not only provides medical care but also prioritizes the well-being and comfort of the animals and their owners. The emphasis on a well-organized facility, a caring staff, and a thoughtful approach to diagnosis and treatment are recurring themes in the feedback.

This clinic is amazing! I am so glad I went here with my rescue Great Dane Karma. Instead of another vet I called who sounded like I inconvenienced her by calling. They instantly showed Karma love and care she craves so badly especially Taylor the Vet Asst. Karma's 10yrs old which is good for a Great Dane in the first place. Dr. Collins is superb. After all the tests and exam he came in and 1st let us know about 2 problems we weren't aware of. 2nd instead of wasting more money on diagnostics of apparent problems then the money to treat. We use that money and start treating the problems and make her comfortable faster. The bill was extremely reasonable. Most of the bulk was medicine which I'm sure once we get Karma to a maintenance status, we can change to some cheaper options. We have already made an appointment for the 2nd of our 8dogs, Jorja. She's the youngest. All the rest will be following in line. Please make an appointment for your furbaby today if they need a vet! Everyone is friendly, courteous, and wonderful with animals. I can't say enough about this clinic. I highly recommend them.

Dr Mallard is exceptional with our horses, very patient and kind and has a wonderful "bed side manner" when it comes to explaining the exact needs of each horse. Pricing is very fair and his level of thoroughness is top notch. Thank you Dr. Mallard from us and all of the horses in our care!

We've seen Dr. Collins and Dr. Mallard for years and won't go anywhere else. The office staff is phenomenal too. They have been available and fantastic for routine visits, sick visits, and last minute emergencies. They have also diagnosed and treated complicated illnesses for our dogs in the past and treated them appropriately. Look no further! This is a great office to trust with your pets.
