Great Lakes Animal Hospital

I took my cat Bob to St Francis Animal Hospital and unfortunately I was not impressed by the care he received there…. But then I took him to Great Lakes Animal Hospital and I’m so happy I did! The vet was so amazing! She treated Bob like her own. She answered all of our questions and provided excellent care. She called us with his lab results and provided an excellent plan of care. She is obviously extremely knowledgeable in her field and the love she has for animals is obvious to see. I wish I went here sooner. I don’t usually leave reviews unless I feel strongly about something, and I can definitely say the Great Lakes is absolutely amazing! Planning to bring my other cats here for care as well. I highly recommend Great Lakes Animal Hospital.

I really hate to give such a poor review, but I’d like to briefly explain. I’ve been taking my dog here for years (2021-current) based off of a recommendation. Since then I’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out what’s wrong with my dog. Every time I took my dog in it seemed like the vet didn’t care about what I or my wife had to say because they’re the professional. I trusted in the vet because THEY’RE THE PROFESSIONAL. However, I do know my dog and I know when something isn’t right. She was prescribed numerous medications, x-rays, had test conducted, etc. sometimes symptoms would go away but then they’d come back shortly after. Due to this, we decided to try an alternative vet out. The new vet agreed on few things Great Lakes animal hospital had recommended, but everything else they were very confused on how they came to the conclusion that they did. Long story short, always trust your instincts. The new vet listened to our concerns, evaluated and came up with a solution. Because of that, my dog is now happy and healthy. Again, I hate to give such a poor review when it seems that other people have had such positive experiences, but I had to give my review based on my own experience.

I’ve been going to this place for years. When I was in need of a new vet, I looked at so many different veterinary clinics. I could not be happier to have found this place! I have since moved to a different city, but I still make the drive because of how well they’ve always treated my dog. Everyone on the staff is well experienced, caring, and always takes the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions. There’s nowhere else I would rather take my dog to!

I have been bringing my dog to Dr. Patel since I adopted her in 2019. She is always treated with care and they even seem excited to see her when she comes in. They give advice as if it were their own pet. I don’t trust anyone else with my Lucy, thank you so much for always being so great.

We have been going here for about 6 years now, and transitioned all our pups here because we absolutely love it. All the staff, from the front desk to the vets, are amazing!! You can tell the vets actually care, take time, and even remember small details about your pet. I can ALWAYS get an appointment in exceptional timing, I’ve just never had an issue in 6+ years here. Couldn’t be happier!!
