Mar 16, 2025 · Joyce WhitbyOur cat was not eating and began having seizures. We rushed him to Grady animal hospital (his regular veterinarian) on 12/24. They brought him in immediately and the veterinarian examined him. She came in and told us as compassionately as possible that he was not responding to anything. She said we could take him to a specialist to determine if he had a brain tumor. When I asked if we were just prolonging the inevitable as he was not responding to anything. She told me yes and gently helped me know that we had to let him go. We were given time to say our good byes and I was allowed to be with him as he crossed over the rainbow bridge. Grady animal hospital has the most compassionate caring staff of any veterinarian we ever used.
