I waited a few months before making this review because i wasn’t sure if how i was feeling was because of my pet crossing the rainbow bridge or feeling actually off. front and vet techs seem personable. The vet was ok, he made me feel like i was a bad pet owner because i couldn’t afford a treatmeant that is “not likely” to work. I wish i was able to get a second opinion as they didn’t do much to help me. They do not do anything in front of you!! BEWARE!!! i didn’t get to share the last moment my cat took his last breath because they took him out of the room and said “they can’t get the catheter in” but they never attempted in front of me! i found this very off setting due to when we put my 200 lb dog down at another vet they worked with us until they could get it in. just beware and it’s very expensive

I highly recommend Glenkirk Animal Hospital! They were able to see my dog, Daisy, as a new patient for a same day appointment to help fix up a wound. The assistants/techs/front desk staff are absolutely wonderful, kind, and caring. Dr. Usman Naqi was friendly and gentle with my dog and explained everything to me clearly. I also wanted to mention how affordable everything is- everyone worked so hard and my bill was more than reasonable, especially for the level of care that she was given. Thank you doesn’t seem like enough- but I truly am thankful and greatful for the care my sweet girl received today. Daisy says thank you too! ❤️

I was impressed & will come back! I brought my sick dog in on Sunday since my regular vet was closed for the day. The establishment was clean & the staff & Dr were kind, professional, straightforward & helpful. Prices were reasonable & they didn’t charge me extra for a same day sick appointment. I also had some concerns about the medication due to breed sensitivity & the Doctor called me back & took the time to have a conversation to address my concerns. The day after my appointment, the staff called to check on my dog’s condition & improvement.

I couldn't believe how swiftly and professional my visit was. Also it was a extremly time sensitive matter getting my service dog Chloe ready for a month long vacation in Portugal, that included a stop for 3 hours in the UK. I had been having problems with like I said time, because Chloe needed a medication for deworming even though she didn't have worms but its London Englands rule for service animal. We couldn't find an after hours vet to help us out till we stumbled apon Glenkirk vet service and the receptionist called the Dr at 7:00 pm and he returned to his office to help us after we had missed 1 flight to the UK and we were less than 24 hrs to our British Air flight. Many thanks to have such a wonderfull establishment in Virginia. Thank you guys again. David & Loree California

I took my sick dog here on a Saturday because our regular veterinary office was closed. I will not be returning. I did appreciate that they got us in on short notice and the practice was clean in appearance. However, the care my dog received left much to be desired. There was little to no actual interaction with her. It felt like she was just another exam room and they were trying to get us in and out. The doctor did not perform a full physical exam, but I was charged for one. He was extremely condescending in the very short time he was in the exam room and the assistant handling our appointment seemed agitated by us as well. I was a little surprised that there was no follow up to check on my dog after the visit either. Every clinic I've ever visited/worked at has checked on their patients. It shows concern, which this place is clearly lacking. They were also 100% against doing anything in front of me, even something as simple as a blood draw. To me, this means they have something to hide about the way they handle patients.
