Never again! Spent 400 dollars and got no answers. Very expensive prices and the service is no where up to standard for everyone. They constant ask you about your budget and if they exceed your budget they stop write in the spot and the receptionist hands you the bill to pay, with no follow up , with no plan, no answers. And the nurse was far from social and seemed not concerned, I’m still angry over our visit and it’s been a week. If you’re lucky they will test you better. Depends on how much money you look like you have. Oh and they ran X-rays instead of blood work because the X-rays we dang near 300 bucks. When I needed bloodwork. As an animal lover I don’t recommend at all. Atleast not the nurse I had. No chance.

Welcome to Giles County Animal Hospital

Giles County Animal Hospital, located at 16654 W College St, Pulaski, TN 38478, USA, is a well-established "Pet Hospital" that has been proudly serving the community of Pulaski and surrounding areas since 1988. With contact numbers (931) 363-7971 and mobile +1 931-363-7971, this facility is a full-service veterinary practice dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for small companion animals. The hospital is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of pets through all stages of life, from their initial appointments as puppies and kittens to their regular senior visits.

The environment at Giles County Animal Hospital garners mixed reviews, reflecting different client experiences. While some clients describe the staff, particularly Dr. Grace, as "compassionate, caring, loving and informative professionals," creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, other experiences suggest potential inconsistencies. One critical review describes feeling that the service was "no where up to standard for everyone" and that the approach depended on the client's perceived budget, leading to abrupt cessation of care and a feeling of not receiving answers or a follow-up plan. This indicates that while the hospital aims for a caring environment, the perception of individual client experiences can vary. However, the majority of positive feedback highlights a strong sense of trust and comfort, with clients stating they "wouldn't take my precious fur babies to anyone else" and that the staff "genuinely care about your animals." The clinic aims to be a place where pet owners feel that their animals are in the care of a "close friend," striving to provide a compassionate and respectful setting, even during difficult decisions like end-of-life care. They are known for being responsive and supportive, helping clients navigate complex medical situations for their pets.

Giles County Animal Hospital offers a wide array of services that cover the essential needs of small companion animals, making it a comprehensive "Pet Hospital." Their services include:

  • Pet Wellness: This is a core focus, involving routine check-ups and preventative care throughout a pet's life, from initial puppy/kitten visits to senior pet care. The goal is to keep pets happy and healthy through all stages of life.

  • In-House Pharmacy: Providing convenient access to necessary medications and veterinary products.

  • Pet Surgery: They perform a range of surgical procedures, including routine spay and neuter operations, as well as other general surgical procedures.

  • Pet Dentistry: Recognizing the importance of oral hygiene, they offer dental services to maintain pets' oral health, which is a key component of overall well-being.

  • Pet Diagnostics: This includes various diagnostic services to accurately identify illnesses and injuries. While one review mentioned a preference for X-rays over blood work, the hospital does offer diagnostic services. Their website confirms they utilize "the latest tools" for pet health assessment.

  • Pet Boarding: For clients who need a safe and supervised place for their pets while they are away, the hospital offers boarding services. This provides an additional layer of convenience and peace of mind, knowing their pets are overseen by veterinary staff.

  • Pet Grooming: Regular grooming sessions are offered, which are seen not just as aesthetic services but also as a first line of defense against abnormalities like skin conditions, rashes, lumps, and itchiness.

  • Additional Services: Beyond these core offerings, the hospital may provide other services tailored to the specific needs of their patient base, though specific details are not always enumerated online.

The features that distinguish Giles County Animal Hospital often revolve around its long-standing presence in the community since 1988, which signifies a deep-rooted trust and familiarity with local pet owners. Many clients have been loyal to the clinic for many years, with some even having their animals cared for through extreme trauma, highlighting the clinic's capability to handle serious cases. Dr. Brandie Grace and her team are frequently praised for their dedication, passion, and commitment to animal welfare. Reviews often highlight the staff's willingness to discuss all options and alternatives, ensuring pet owners are educated on their pet's health. The hospital's ability to communicate compassionately during difficult times, such as when making end-of-life decisions for a beloved pet, is a recurrent theme in positive feedback, with clients receiving "the most sincere card" afterward. The provision of services like boarding and grooming under veterinary supervision offers a holistic approach to pet care, differentiating them from clinics that focus solely on medical treatments. They also make use of modern communication tools like PetDesk, allowing clients to track their pet's health easily.

However, it's important to acknowledge some of the concerns raised in reviews. One review mentioned a perception of service being tied to a client's "budget," with a lack of follow-up or a clear plan if costs exceed a certain point. This suggests that while they offer a wide range of services, there might be situations where communication regarding financial constraints and treatment options could be further refined to ensure all clients feel equally supported, regardless of their budget.

From a promotional standpoint, Giles County Animal Hospital actively promotes its comprehensive range of services, emphasizing preventative care for pets of all ages. Their long history of serving the Pulaski area since 1988 is a strong testament to their experience and reliability. They highlight the dedication and passion of their veterinary team, particularly Dr. Brandie Grace, often featuring positive client testimonials that speak to the compassionate and high-quality care provided. The convenience of services like boarding and grooming being available at a veterinary facility is also likely a key promotional point. They utilize online platforms, including their website, to facilitate appointment booking and connect with clients via call or text. The hospital strives to convey a message of being a trusted partner in pet health, committed to providing "the best animal health care available" and building lasting relationships with pets and their families. Their outreach extends to serving surrounding communities like Lynnville, Columbia, and Lewisburg, broadening their client base.

Our Caddie LOVES coming to the vet! GCAH takes wonderful care of her and treats us all with respect and kindness. It is worth the drive from Columbia to use their services.

This is the best experience I’ve ever had with a vet. I got my dog, Reuben, as a puppy and I have taken him there for everything! They are all so friendly and caring. They know what’s best for your pet and always make time in an emergency! We will miss them so much when we move.
