Fox Memorial Clinic Introduce
Welcome to an introduction of Fox Memorial Clinic, a Pet Hospital located in Newington, CT. This platform aims to provide veterinary care, and based on the information available online, particularly from recent customer reviews, we will explore the environment, services, features, and any indications of their approach to pet health.
Fox Memorial Clinic is situated at 701 Russell Rd B, Newington, CT 06111, USA. They can be contacted via phone at the toll-free number (800) 452-0114 or the alternative number +1 800-452-0114.
Environment:
One customer review describes Fox Memorial Clinic as a "lifesaver" for pet owners, particularly highlighting its affordability. This suggests an environment where accessibility to veterinary care is a priority. The reviewer also notes that the entire team genuinely cares about the pets and that the staff is friendly, empathetic, and inclusive, making both pets and their owners feel welcome and supported. This paints a picture of a caring and community-oriented atmosphere.
The same reviewer mentions that there can be a wait for appointments, which they attribute to the high demand likely resulting from the quality of care provided. This implies a busy clinic, which could suggest that many pet owners in the area trust their services. The emphasis on making people feel welcome and supported indicates a focus on client comfort alongside pet care.
However, another customer shared a deeply concerning experience. They brought their unwell dog to the clinic, where arthritis was diagnosed based on a visual examination of the paws, despite elevated levels in bloodwork. Their request for radiographs was reportedly dismissed. Subsequently, the dog was diagnosed with cancer at another veterinary clinic and has since passed away. This reviewer expressed the sentiment that earlier and more thorough investigation at Fox Memorial Clinic might have led to a different outcome. This account introduces a contrasting perspective, suggesting that while some aspects of the clinic's environment, such as staff friendliness, might be positive, there could be issues with diagnostic thoroughness in some cases.
Services:
Based on the customer reviews, the services at Fox Memorial Clinic include:
- General Veterinary Care: The reviews mention diagnosis of illnesses (initially arthritis, later cancer elsewhere) and bloodwork, indicating they offer medical diagnostic services.
- Affordable Care: A key feature highlighted is the clinic's affordability, making veterinary care accessible.
- Referrals: One review notes that Fox Memorial Clinic no longer offers surgery but provides information about low-cost options in the area, such as POA Spay, indicating they may refer patients for services they do not provide in-house.
- Euthanasia (Implied): While not explicitly stated, the context of seeking care for an unwell pet and the general nature of veterinary clinics suggest this service would likely be available if needed.
The reviews do not provide a comprehensive list of all services, such as dental care, vaccinations, or specific types of diagnostics beyond bloodwork and the mentioned lack of radiography for the concerned pet.
Features:
From the customer feedback, we can identify the following features:
- Affordability: This is repeatedly mentioned as a significant positive aspect of the clinic.
- Friendly, Empathetic, and Inclusive Staff: One reviewer praised the staff for their welcoming and caring attitude towards both pets and owners.
- Focus on Compassion: The clinic is recommended for treating pets with compassion.
- High Demand: The reported wait times for appointments suggest the clinic is popular among pet owners.
However, a potential negative feature, based on one customer's experience, could be a perceived lack of thoroughness in diagnostics or a reluctance to pursue further investigation when initial findings are made.
Promotional Information:
The provided text does not contain explicit promotional offers or discounts from Fox Memorial Clinic itself. However, the strong positive recommendation from one reviewer, emphasizing affordability and compassionate care, acts as a form of positive promotion. The mention of a referral to a "great low-cost option" for spay/neuter (POA Spay) could also be seen as indirectly promoting access to affordable pet care in the area, even if not directly offered by Fox Memorial Clinic.
For local users in Newington, CT, Fox Memorial Clinic at 701 Russell Rd B appears to be a Pet Hospital that prioritizes affordable and compassionate veterinary care. One customer's positive experience highlights the friendly and empathetic staff and the accessibility of care, even noting the willingness to refer for services they don't offer, like surgery. This suggests a clinic that is mindful of cost and strives to support pet owners in finding solutions for their animals' health needs.
However, it is crucial to also consider the negative experience shared by another customer, who felt that their concerns about their pet's illness were not adequately addressed, potentially leading to a delay in diagnosis. This raises a flag regarding the thoroughness of diagnostic procedures in all cases. While the affordability and kindness of staff are appealing, it may be wise for pet owners to ensure they feel their concerns are fully heard and that all necessary diagnostic avenues are explored for their pets' health issues.
If you are looking for a Pet Hospital in Newington, CT, that is known for being affordable and having a caring staff, Fox Memorial Clinic might be a consideration. However, based on the mixed reviews, it would be prudent to communicate openly about your pet's symptoms and your expectations for diagnostic procedures. You can contact them at (800) 452-0114 to learn more about their services and to discuss your pet's specific needs.
In conclusion, Fox Memorial Clinic in Newington, CT, is portrayed as an affordable Pet Hospital with a caring and friendly staff. They offer general veterinary care and referrals for services like surgery. While one customer highly recommends them for their compassion and affordability, another's negative experience regarding diagnostic thoroughness serves as a cautionary note. Local pet owners should consider both perspectives when deciding if Fox Memorial Clinic is the right fit for their needs.

Mar 29, 2025 · Jennifer Lynn BethkeI usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so that other pet owners are aware before trusting this facility with their beloved animals. I brought my dog, Negro, to this clinic about a month ago because he was clearly unwell. They diagnosed him with arthritis just by looking at his paws, even though his bloodwork showed elevated levels. I followed up and asked to bring him back in for radiographs, but I was told it wasn’t necessary and was dismissed. I later took him to a different vet, where he was diagnosed with cancer. He has since passed away. I can’t help but feel that if my concerns had been taken seriously from the start, things could have been different. I’m sharing this so others are aware. I’ve since moved my other pet to a new clinic and wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.
Apr 21, 2025 · Mariana PalacioAmazing, my experience with the Fox Clinic, the Vet Dr. Kucia very professional and kind person, along with the staff , I adopted Blackie at the Humane Society in 2015 and it was a wonderful experience as well. I had to put my dog down and I was given time to spend with my dog before euthanasia and after, they made my dog comfortable too, really appreciated that, not only that but they provided a box to take my dog as that was my final wish! I Will definitely visit again in the future , thank you so much for your kindness!
Apr 03, 2025 · madeline lyraUsed to be great but has been going downhill since the COVID19. Any appointment is 8 weeks out and even though they charge your credit card for a deposit, they would threaten to cancel your appointment if you don’t respond to their confirmation in a day. It is really only good for regular wellness exams and nothing else. If your pets gets sick, you are out of luck. Take your pets elsewhere.
