Four Lakes Veterinary Clinic

I've brought all my pets here since Four Lakes opened and have never even considered taking my pets anywhere else. I always feel they give the absolute best care in any stage of life. All the staff folks answer my questions thoroughly and explain why they recommend certain treatments/medications/etc. I have a lot of questions so its great that they're so patient and happy to explain. They also give options for care/treatment outside of medication which I think is great. Always good to try simple things first in my opinion. They're very attentive to my cat's needs and preferences, and are always sweet and gentle with my cat during appointments. The staff has always been flexible with medication pick up with me as well. Great team here and would definitely recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this vet! I've got a VERY anxious dog and had been looking for a Fear Free-certified practice for years, and it was absolutely worth the wait to find one. Rosa had a very necessary but pretty traumatic trip to an emergency vet as a puppy and ever since then vet visits have involved a lot of screaming (her) and crying (me) but Four Lakes has been so willing to work with us on medications to keep Rosa relaxed enough to get the care she needs and visits are pretty painless for everyone now. It's incredible to not feel like I'm dreading every time she's due for a vaccine! ALSO, they have great availability! Every time I reach out about an appointment they seem to have several options within a few days and can get us in quickly even for non-urgent appointments like check-ups or dental care. I have been so glad to have Four Lakes taking care of my nervous girl and my only regret is not bringing Rosa here from the moment we adopted her.

Can't say enough great things about all the staff at Four Lakes! We had multiple souring experiences with our past vet who was purchased by a conglomerate, and it's been a total course reversal with Four Lakes. The staff is extremely considerate of animal well being before visits even begin, and even so well after you've left appointments. Truly love how they handle everything! Dr. Scarlett, Dr. McClanahan, and Dr. Ricci run a wonderful business and can't thank them enough.

I have been seeing four lakes Vet for three years since getting my dog Chopper. Overall, very friendly staff. However, I called in advance to let them know I was running 10 minutes late for an appointment as I was stuck in traffic because I work in Milwaukee. They were unwilling to see Chopper. I can see not seeing him if this had happened more than once but this was our only time running late. Life happens. It’s hard to schedule these appointments with my work schedule. I am sad to be leaving this clinic, but they have become very focused on rushing patients in and out. Not as family focus as when we began seeing them three years ago.

Being new to Madison I was thrilled to find a Fear Free certified vet! I had read about the program years ago and implemented it in a dog business I’d owned, but never found a Fear Free certified vet for my own pets. It was all that I had imagined and more! It’s not just a sticker in the window, it really is a different level of care that is very comforting, and not only for the care of my pets but for me as well. The excellent communication and very detailed reports paired with lower costs than my previous vets has me so impressed every time I go. Also, it’s not just another job for the staff, it’s obvious they’re passionate about what they do and how they do it. I feel so lucky to have Four Lakes as my new Vet, Thank you!
