Caution! We recently adopted a 2 year old dog and started bringing her here in March, in which we paid for the full senior dog vaccination package. Apparently during that visit, they were only able to administer two vaccines, and we were supposed to bring her back for the third. Not until this past Friday when we tried to take her to a doggy day camp did the camp tell us she's not fully vaccinated. Sure enough, when I called the vet, they told me she still hadn't received her Distemper vaccine. WHY?! Over the past 6 months, we've called the vet multiple times for various reasons, as well as brought in our dog many times, including a full spay visit and blood work visit, well totaling $3,000+. During any of these calls or visits, no one told us our dog was still in need of the vaccine! So for the past 6 months we've been under the impression our dog is fully protected! Also, we had already paid for all the vaccines back in March, so they billed us for a vaccine we never even received until this last Friday. Even more, when we brought her in for the missed vaccine on Friday morning, the front desk girl was EXTREMELY rude. I asked why this wasn't caught sooner and if there's something wrong with their system, to which her response was, "well, I don't know what to tell you." ...UMMMMM... how about "oh wow, we are so sorry we missed this?!" My dog has been vulnerable the past 6 months and we didn't even know! For the amount of money we've spent here in just 6 months to receive zero concern or compassion for our dog is ABSURD. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning to this vet.

Founders Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Welcome to the local introduction of Founders Veterinary Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 330 N Brea Blvd # F, Brea, CA 92821, USA. They can be contacted at (714) 990-0661 or mobile phone +1 714-990-0661. While this platform aims to provide an objective overview, it's important to note that recent online reviews present mixed feedback regarding this clinic.
One customer shared a significant negative experience concerning their newly adopted two-year-old dog. They reported paying for a full senior dog vaccination package in March but later discovered, after six months and multiple visits totaling over $3,000 (including a spay and blood work), that their dog had not received the Distemper vaccine. The customer expressed concern that this oversight was not communicated during any of their calls or visits, leaving their dog potentially vulnerable. They also mentioned being billed for the full vaccine package initially and encountering rude behavior from the front desk staff when inquiring about the error. Due to this experience and the perceived lack of concern, this customer stated they would not be returning to Founders Veterinary Clinic.
Another reviewer offered a more neutral perspective, stating that the staff was "not insanely welcoming," which they personally found acceptable. They noted that the prices for a "holistic type vet" were good. However, this reviewer raised a concern about a perceived pressure to spay their dog, with the doctor allegedly insinuating it was necessary for the dog's survival, which the reviewer felt was an exaggeration.
Based on the limited recent reviews available, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment, services, features, or any promotional information for Founders Veterinary Clinic. The feedback highlights potential issues with vaccination protocols, communication, and customer service, as well as differing opinions on staff demeanor and veterinary recommendations. Local users considering Founders Veterinary Clinic for their pet care needs are strongly advised to take these recent experiences into account, potentially contact the clinic directly to inquire about their services and protocols, and perhaps seek additional reviews or testimonials to form a well-rounded opinion before making a decision.

Aug 19, 2024 · Mackenzie CarrilloStaff is not insanely welcoming which is fine for me. Prices for a holistic type vet are good. My only caveat is that even though they are not forcing me to get my dog spayed. The doctor insinuates that it needs to be done in order for my dog to survive. While I will get my dog spayed soon, I feel this kind of pressure is exaggerated since a vast majority of dogs are unaltered at shows, sports, and just in general without problems.
Apr 21, 2024 · Lauren KanI appreciate the staff and the vet's input, support and professional advice. However, both staff and Dr. Zempo were really cold and I always left feeling like a scolded kid. There is a way in delivering information and a friendly demeanor would most definitely boost morale and bring in more clients. Dr and staff always had a flat affect and seem to give attitude. Ended up taking my pups to a more friendlier and more helpful clinic.
Mar 19, 2024 · ivan bTook my pup here for the first time upon bringing him home. I was looking for a veterinarian close to my home, and Founders was the closest, so I contacted them for an appointment. First impression was that, for a veterinary clinic, the front desk staff appeared to be very cold and unfriendly. To them, I would say: a smile can go a long way...I recommend it! Dr. Zenpo was knowledgeable and provided recommendations; however, she too, like the front desk staff, gave an authoritarian vibe making me feel as if I needed to be a drill sergeant with my new pup. Overall, the few visits I had with them got the job done, but I was never fully satisfied with their service. I ended up finding another local veterinary clinic (not naming names), and the services my pup received there were like night and day compared to the services at Founders. So if you are looking for a vet for the sake of having one, consider Founders. If you are considering a vet that treats your pets and you like family, look elsewhere.
Mar 20, 2024 · Aldo BenalcazarRecently went in about getting anxiety medicine for my dog. Instead, the staff and doctor spent an hour with us going over all other options. They were really thoughtful and took great care of us and our dog.
