Welcome to Forest City Animal Hospital
For pet owners in Forest City, NC, and the surrounding areas, Forest City Animal Hospital, located at 1178 Old Caroleen Rd, Forest City, NC 28043, USA, presents itself as a local "Pet Hospital" offering veterinary care. However, the limited online reviews provide a starkly contrasting view of the services and overall experience. While one customer praises the clinic for its friendly and caring approach, particularly towards their pet, another customer expresses significant dissatisfaction, alleging a refusal to treat sick animals and a lack of availability for emergency cases. Therefore, a balanced and objective introduction must acknowledge both perspectives to provide local users with a comprehensive understanding based on the available information.
Details regarding the physical environment of Forest City Animal Hospital are not mentioned in the provided reviews. The positive review focuses solely on the staff's demeanor and treatment of the pet, while the negative review centers on the clinic's alleged limitations in handling sick or emergency cases. Without further information, it is impossible to objectively describe the clinic's facilities, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere. Potential users may need to consider this lack of information when evaluating this "Pet Hospital" and perhaps seek additional insights from other sources if available.
The services offered at Forest City Animal Hospital, based on the limited reviews, appear to include routine care such as flea treatment and vaccinations, as explicitly mentioned in the negative review ("For flea treatment and shots...NO PROBLEM!"). The positive review also implies general treatment of pets, stating, "They treated my fur baby so sweet. Talk to her and treated her with care." However, a significant point of contention arises regarding the clinic's capacity and willingness to handle sick or emergency cases. The negative review claims that on three separate occasions when their pet was sick, they were told to seek care elsewhere in Shelby or Gastonia due to a lack of openings or a vet available to see them for non-routine issues. This suggests a potential limitation in the scope of services offered, particularly when dealing with urgent or complex medical needs.
One of the features highlighted in the positive review is the friendly and caring nature of the staff. The reviewer specifically mentions that the staff treated their pet "so sweet," talking to her and handling her with care. The doctor is described as "the sweetest person" who "truly loves your babies." This suggests a compassionate and gentle approach to animal care, which can be a significant factor for pet owners seeking a comforting environment for their animals. This positive aspect of the staff's demeanor may contribute to a sense of trust and comfort for routine procedures.
However, a starkly contrasting feature, as alleged in the negative review, is the clinic's apparent unwillingness or inability to handle sick or emergency cases. The reviewer claims repeated instances where they were turned away with a sick pet, being advised to go to other veterinary facilities in different towns. This raises serious concerns about the clinic's capacity to provide timely care for animals with urgent medical needs. The reviewer's frustration is palpable, emphasizing that they have always paid in full for services and never requested payment plans, suggesting that financial reasons were not the cause of the alleged refusal of care. This alleged limitation in handling non-routine cases could be a significant drawback for pet owners seeking a "Pet Hospital" that can provide comprehensive care, including for unexpected illnesses or injuries.
Promotional information is absent in the provided reviews. Neither review mentions any specific discounts, special offers, or unique services beyond the general aspects of veterinary care discussed. The positive review serves as an organic endorsement of the staff's kindness, while the negative review acts as a strong caution against relying on this clinic for anything beyond basic, routine procedures. Potential local users will need to rely on these contrasting personal experiences to form their initial impression, as no formal promotional material is available in this context.
In conclusion, Forest City Animal Hospital in Forest City, NC, presents a mixed picture based on the limited online reviews. While one customer experienced a friendly and caring environment with staff who treated their pet well, another customer reported significant issues with the clinic's alleged refusal to treat sick animals and a lack of availability for emergency cases, advising others to seek care elsewhere. For local users seeking a "Pet Hospital," it is crucial to consider these contrasting experiences. While routine services like flea treatment and vaccinations may be adequately provided with a kind demeanor, the alleged limitations in handling sick or emergency situations could be a significant concern. Potential clients may need to seek further information or consider these reported experiences when deciding whether Forest City Animal Hospital meets their comprehensive pet care needs.

Feb 11, 2025 · MxBuggThis is the worst vet I have ever been too. If you have a sick animal, they tell you take them somewhere else. For flea treatment and shots...NO PROBLEM! Have a sick pet and suddenly, "They have no openings," or no "Vet" in to see them! Take them to Shelby, or Gastonia! At first I thought this Vet would be a good place. But 3 times now, when I had one come up sick, this is what they do! I'm seeking care else where and advise you to do the same. Horrible!!! I have never not paid in full at service or ask for a payment plan, never! And my Yorkie gets sick and they don't have anyone in to see emergency cases. My cat got sick and they said take him to Shelby! They just DO NOT want responsibility for nothing serious!!! Do Not Go Here!!!

Jan 03, 2025 · Jessica De VoePam is a great Veterinarian. She is so knowledgeable and gentle with our dogs. We've been bringing our pets to her for many years. When we first rescued our dog Suzie she was so weak and sick and weighed only 19 ounces. Pam advised that she needed to do some tests on her which would take 4 -5 hours. I was so reluctant to leave her because she was so little and so sick. Pam's mom works at the hospital and she reassured me that she would take good care of Suzie and would call me the minute she was done. I left , but after 4 hours I couldn't stand being away and returned . Suzie's testing wasn't done, but when I walked in there was Suzie . Pam's mom was holding her . I asked her if she had held her the whole time and she said that she had, except when they were working on her. She said " I told you I would take care of your baby" . That level of care and compassion is what sets this office apart. They're wonderful!
May 11, 2024 · Laura FallsDr. Pam and her staff are amazing. Took time out of her day to speak with me on phone for a good 20 min about heart worm and how dog gets them etc. Cholee absolutely loves going there. Dr. Pam will always be her Dr. can’t find a better Dr. and her prices are reasonable. I 1000% recommend her!!!
