We had a great experience at First State Urgent Care today! They were able to see my dog quickly for an issue with his eye and the doctor was very thorough. The staff was friendly and professional. My dog is usually very anxious at the vet but he seemed calm and comfortable here! They have an online wait list you can join so it notifies you when it’s time to head over to be seen. This way you don’t have to sit and waste time in the waiting room. It was an overall great experience and I am glad we found this clinic!

I had to bring my Murphy in for stomach issues and everyone was amazing starting with the front desk staff. Dr. Downs was amazing. She made sure I understood what was going on and all my options and was beyond caring to not only Murphy but myself as well. I had to leave him there for a few hours and nurse Gianna made sure he felt safe and was comfortable by snuggling him and reading books to him. I am forever grateful for everyone there!

Had to bring our dog in today after he got into something he shouldn't have and our usual vet was closed. The staff was incredibly reassuring, responsive, and knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend them to any pet owners! Felt our dog was in good hands the entire visit!

Referred here via my vet today who was not able to perform a surgery due to vet being out of town. Came highly recommended. Very nice and courteous staff. Something to consider before going here...if your pet needs surgery realize there is a 50/50 chance that the surgeons on staff will accept the job. Until today, the idea that a surgery would be denied never occurred to me. Initial consults can be expensive. Before giving them your money, make sure to have the surgeon review any and all documentation on your pet. I took off work and spent hundreds of dollars here today only to be turned away. Make smart decisions and shop the decision around before making a commitment. Given the responses from this organization to any feedback like this, I am going to make a proactive statement. When your pet is sick, the one thing I have learned for the first time (in 25 years of being a pet owner) is that surgeries can be turned away. The key point here is how to avoid a consult where money is charged that does not help. I think under the circumstances that this is a fair and equitable statement to make for any patient to consider. Do your due diligence and have a plan B no matter what....for your pet's sake. Different vets will have their protocols and preferences. At times that is in your pet's best interest and at times it won't be. I will never know the reason since I never got a chance to actually meet or interact directly with the surgeon as this decision was made. My goal today was to increase the quality of life for my pet, but it did not happen. Bottom line, I did what was asked, followed instructions, received a phone call and was turned away with no further advice. Everything ended very abruptly. Fortunately, my plan B is another vet who is willing to do the surgery. They are out there...you just have to find them. Should you run into a situation where the decision is something you don't agree with, seek a second opinion elsewhere quickly because the explanation you are looking for likely won't happen.

I had to rush my 11 month old Jack Russel here for a bone in her throat. They emediately took her to the back and removed it. I traveled from Philadelphia to get there. I was nervous , anxious and didn't know what to expect. The staff was patient, kind and understanding! I'm so humbled and appreciative for the love and care they have for our fur babies. I LOVE THE STAFF AND RECOMMEND THEM 5 STARS ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE BOARD... MOCHA SAYS THANK YOU ❤️ 💙 💜
