My sweet Apple has nerve damage (from a dog fight) causing her foot not function. It drags and in an improper position. Her regular vet suggested amputation of the leg due to the severity of the nerve damage. Apple is just 1 year old... I asked my internet friends for advise and suggestions. This is how we found this opportunity. Apple is regaining some use of her paw....we continue to have hope.

The operational environment of Equine & Canine Wellness, PLLC is thoughtfully designed to minimize stress and maximize convenience for its diverse patient base. For canine patients, the office at 10 Chestnut Dr O in Bedford, NH, is intentionally crafted to be a calming and relaxing space. This likely involves a quiet ambiance, personalized attention, and a deliberate effort to avoid the typical clinical stressors.
For equine patients, the clinic operates primarily as an ambulatory service. Dr. DeDeo travels directly to horse farms and stables across Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. This mobile approach is incredibly beneficial for horses, as it allows them to receive specialized care in their familiar surroundings, reducing the stress associated with transport and unfamiliar environments. The flexibility demonstrated by Dr. DeDeo, as noted in a review where she met a client close to their home at no charge, further exemplifies her commitment to patient and client convenience and welfare.

Equine & Canine Wellness, PLLC provides a highly specialized and comprehensive suite of veterinary services, drawing extensively from Dr. DeDeo's profound expertise in both conventional and complementary medicine. These services are meticulously tailored to address a wide array of conditions and promote overall wellness in both horses and dogs:
- Acupuncture: A cornerstone of their practice, Dr. DeDeo is certified through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). Acupuncture is effectively used for pain management, neurological disorders (as dramatically illustrated by Apple's case of nerve damage), musculoskeletal issues, and various internal medicine problems.
- Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Animal Chiropractic): Certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), Dr. DeDeo performs precise adjustments to correct spinal misalignments, enhancing nervous system function, mobility, and overall comfort for both canine and equine patients.
- Herbal Therapy: As an integral part of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), herbal remedies are prescribed to re-balance the body's energy, support natural healing processes, and complement other therapeutic modalities, offering a holistic approach to internal health.
- Diagnostic Ultrasound: This advanced imaging technique allows for detailed, non-invasive assessment of soft tissues, tendons, ligaments, and internal organs, crucial for accurate diagnosis of subtle or complex conditions.
- Digital Radiology (X-rays): High-quality digital X-rays are utilized for precise evaluation of bone structures, aiding in the diagnosis of fractures, arthritis, and other orthopedic concerns with clarity and efficiency.
- Therapeutic Laser Therapy: A non-invasive and pain-free treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to reduce pain and inflammation, accelerate tissue repair, and promote faster healing in injured or recovering areas.
- Soundness Evaluation & Treatment (Equine): For horses, this involves comprehensive assessments of lameness and performance-related issues, followed by targeted, individualized treatment plans to restore optimal function.
- Pre-Purchase Exams (Equine): Thorough veterinary evaluations are provided for prospective horse buyers, offering essential insights into a horse's current health status and soundness before a significant investment.
- Saddle Fit Evaluation (Equine): Recognizing the critical impact of proper saddle fit on a horse's comfort and performance, this service helps identify and address issues that can lead to pain or behavioral problems.
- Equi-taping (Kinesio Taping for Horses): Dr. DeDeo is certified in Equi-taping, a technique that uses specialized elastic tape to support muscles, reduce swelling, and alleviate pain, particularly beneficial for athletic horses or those recovering from injury.
- Comprehensive Diagnostic Approach: As highlighted by client testimonials, Dr. DeDeo is renowned for her ability to diagnose challenging cases that have stumped other veterinarians. This often involves thorough research, keen observation, and a willingness to explore all avenues to find answers.
---
- Unparalleled Specialized Expertise: The most defining feature of Equine & Canine Wellness, PLLC is Dr. Jackie DeDeo's exceptional and diverse qualifications. A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (2001), she holds certifications from IVAS (acupuncture) and the AVCA (chiropractic), alongside a Master's Degree in TCVM from the Chi Institute. This rare blend of Western and Eastern medicine training provides a powerful, multi-modal approach to animal care.
- Truly Integrative and Holistic Care: The practice embodies a holistic philosophy, treating the entire animal rather than just isolated symptoms. This integrative approach often provides solutions for chronic or complex conditions where traditional methods have fallen short, offering renewed hope for pet owners, as seen in the remarkable recovery of Apple.
- Deep Compassion and Unwavering Dedication: Client reviews consistently praise Dr. DeDeo's "caring," "smart," and "awesome" demeanor. Her willingness to go "above and beyond"—whether it's conducting extensive research, providing no-charge follow-ups, or demonstrating a genuine love for animals—resonates deeply with clients. She truly "lives for her profession."

- Specialized Consultations: Offering initial, possibly discounted or virtual, consultations for owners exploring alternative therapies or seeking answers for complex cases could encourage new client engagement.
- Partnerships and Referrals: Collaborating with local animal trainers, rescue organizations, equestrian centers, and even conventional veterinary clinics for referral of challenging cases could expand their reach.
- Online Presence: Maintaining an active and informative website and social media presence (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to share success stories, educational content, and clinic updates, showcasing their unique approach.
