I recently had to put my dog of 13 years to sleep. My husband and I brought him to the emergency pet hospital of glendora, and I'm so grateful we did. They immediately brought us to a room to give us privacy and time to say goodbye to our dog without being rushed. They were extremely kind and respectful. When we picked up his ashes we were also given an imprint of our dogs paw. For something that was extremely hard to go through they made it as comfortable and easy as possible.

Understanding the environment of a veterinary care facility is paramount for pet owners seeking the best possible care for their animals. While specific details about the hospital's interior and facilities are not explicitly provided in the given information, we can infer that as an "Emergency Pet Hospital," the environment is likely equipped to handle urgent medical situations. This typically includes examination rooms for immediate assessment, a surgical suite for emergency procedures, diagnostic imaging capabilities such as X-ray machines (as indicated in the reviews), and potentially an in-house laboratory for quick analysis of blood work and other samples. The focus of such a facility is generally on efficiency and accessibility to critical care equipment to address emergencies promptly.

The services offered by Emergency Pet Hospital of Glendora are centered around emergency and critical care for pets. Based on the available information, these services include:

  • Emergency Medical Care: This is the core function, providing immediate medical attention for pets facing life-threatening conditions or sudden illnesses and injuries.
  • Surgical Services: The presence of a surgical suite suggests the capability to perform emergency surgeries to address trauma, internal issues, or other urgent surgical needs.
  • Diagnostic Services: The review mentions the use of X-rays and blood work for diagnosing a pet's lameness, indicating the availability of these crucial diagnostic tools. It is reasonable to assume other diagnostic services might be available as well.
  • End-of-Life Care: The heartfelt review from a customer who had to euthanize their dog highlights the compassionate and respectful approach to end-of-life care, including providing a private space for owners to say goodbye and offering keepsakes like paw prints.

While the primary focus is emergency care, it is common for such facilities to also offer supportive care, pain management, and stabilization services to ensure the comfort and well-being of their patients. It is advisable to contact the hospital directly for a comprehensive list of their services.

In terms of features, Emergency Pet Hospital of Glendora distinguishes itself through its commitment to providing immediate care when it's most needed. Key features, based on the available reviews, appear to include:

  • 24/7 Availability (Implied): As an "Emergency Pet Hospital," it is strongly implied that their services are available outside of regular business hours, potentially 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to handle urgent situations. However, this should be verified directly with the hospital.
  • Rapid Response: The positive review mentions being taken to a private room immediately, suggesting a quick and efficient intake process during a stressful time.
  • Compassionate and Respectful Staff: The kindness and respect shown during a difficult experience of putting a pet to sleep are significant features that highlight the hospital's patient-centered approach.
  • Personalized Support: Offering a paw print keepsake demonstrates a thoughtful touch and understanding of the emotional bond between owners and their pets.

However, it is also important to acknowledge a negative review that raises concerns about the thoroughness of initial examinations and potential for additional charges. This feedback suggests that while many experiences are positive, there might be inconsistencies in service or communication. Potential users should consider this feedback alongside the positive experiences when making decisions about their pet's care.

Regarding promotional information, no specific promotions or discounts are mentioned in the provided text. Emergency veterinary services often operate on a fee-for-service basis due to the urgent and often complex nature of the care provided. It is recommended to inquire directly with the hospital about their payment policies and whether they accept pet insurance plans, which can help offset the costs of emergency treatment.

In conclusion, Emergency Pet Hospital of Glendora, operating within the Pet Hospital platform category, offers emergency veterinary care services to the local community in Glendora, California. They appear to provide a supportive and compassionate environment, particularly during emotionally challenging times such as end-of-life care. Their services include emergency medical and surgical care, as well as diagnostic capabilities like X-rays and blood work. We took our dog on Thursday having difficulty walking favoring her left front leg. After $1300.00 with X-rays and blood work she did not get better. Noticing a bump on her leg after the visit, they wanted to charge additional fees and wanted an MRI to recheck her. It appears they did not do their job by examining her left leg. Do not trust this place to do their job.

Howie, our sixteen year old Maltese, experienced two seizures in the middle of the night, so we knew it was time to let him go and we chose Emergency Pet Hospital of Glendora which was conveniently nearby. My wife and I prepared ourselves to go through the unpleasant process of letting our little dog go and on the short drive over to the hospital, he took his last breath. It was 4:30am when we arrived and rang the overnight buzzer. Ashley let us inside and expressed her concern for our situation and guided us through the final steps with compassion. After a few final minutes with our little guy, we let him go. One last step. We decided to have Howie cremated, so I asked if they offered this. They did not, but could coordinate it with an outside service and within one week, I was able to pickup Howie’s ashes. Even though releasing your pet is a very traumatic experience, this hospital, especially Ashley, handled it efficiently and professionally, and the final bill was only for the cremation services. Highly recommended!

Be aware that they close at 8am for PICKUP. Seems like they actually stop seeing patients around 6am. When I expressed my frustration with the confusing hour posting, the employee shrugged, rubbed her eyes (she had clearly been sleeping before she answered the door), and said "I have nothing to do with that" and left me alone in the lobby with my screaming cat. I am sure the medical care here is fine. Just be aware that you should go elsewhere if your emergency happens after 6am on a weekday.
