My doggie was very ill, I was hoping she would make it until Monday to take her to my regular vet to put her down. Well she got so sick on Saturday night - Sunday morning I called Emergency Animal Hospital of San Gabriel Valley. I explained my situation, I talked it over with my family, I called the hospital back and advised I was on my way at 5:00am on Sunday morning. They were kind, empathetic and loving towards me and my Bella. They had a beautiful fragrance in the office and beautiful soft instrumental music playing in the background. They explained everything to expect and allowed me all the time I wanted with my Bella before and after the procedure. I got to be with Bella for her last breath of life and got to hold her for the last time. On top of all this I paid less for everything I wanted than I would have paid at my vet! Thank you to the staff for your loving approach to such a difficult time!

Even though we didn't get the news we were hoping for when taking our dog there, I appreciate all of the information the emergency doctor gave us regarding our dogs prognosis. The statistics he provided helped us make a very hard but educated decision to let her go. Then they gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes to her, even after my children drove from home to come see her, also. The doctor was very sympathetic at a very difficult time for us. I only hope no other family goes through such a quick and unexpected loss, like we did. But the doctors here will provide you with the very best information regarding the care for your pet

We had to come in to have our dog put to sleep…it was obviously a difficult experience, but the staff here was courteous and compassionate, and gave us all the time we needed. Whether for regular care or for end of life care, I’d recommend them, they made a tough day a little easier.

On Saturday morning I took my dog suburban husky he is 8 years old we went to our vet he couldn’t walk at all on his 2 back legs he had no control at all so we carried him to the car and took him. His nails were long so we just went there to cut them and took see at else is wrong. The cut them but they wheel him out and telling us he needs more care something else is wrong with him what he needs we don’t have and we are only half day on Saturday’s so they send us to his place this man was so nice and caring at the front desk. But this nurse didn’t want to use the cart she said it’s not good for him so she end up carrying him but doing that my dog was so in pain he pee on her. When the Dr. saw him he right way gave us bad news. He was telling us he has a slip disc and he looks so bony he ask if we feed him? Did he fell off from the stairs? My dad kept telling him he eats very well and no we live in on one story house. By looking at him they told us there was nothing they can do but to put him down explaining to us everything telling us he won’t walk again. My dog proved them wrong! He started to walk on Sunday night, and he walk very well today! He never last his appetite he eats very well!!!! We are so shock, bless that we didn’t listen to them we took him home! Just hoping that the nails were the cause of him not working.

Came to this animal hospital yesterday because my dog was throwing up most of the day and I didn't know what was wrong. The receptionist, Andrew, answered my questions over the phone, in which I asked what I could do to help my dog during this time. His only answer was to bring him in?? Ok, other recommendations could have been stop giving him food or water, what are his behaviors, but it was just an immediate bring him in. Which made me panic worse. So I bring him in, mind you, I'm sobbing. Answered some questions. He brings me into a room and then leaves. He said they were working on another animal right, so you think you'd hear people hard at work. But no, all I heard was laughing and joking around and stuff like that. It was like that for a little while, but my dog started throwing up in the room. So I knocked on the door he left behind. Andrew comes back and is immediately irritated. I'm like, can someone please come look at my puppy I already agreed to pay what's going on. He says "I TOLD you it was going to be 15/20 minutes. We HAVE other priority dogs we are working on." In my head, I'm like you guys are laughing in there. But okay take your 20 minutes then. He leaves and comes back 1/2 minutes later and tries to take my dog. I'm asking where's the vet? I'd like to speak with the vet and my dog. He says, "That's NOT how it works here. We take the dogs to the back and the vet looks at them there." I'm not comfortable with that. I would like to stay with my dog. That's the first time I heard of that. Like what??? No. And this dude is just getting more and more irritated with me, to the point where I don't even feel comfortable being there anymore. So I took my dog and I left. I slammed a door on my way out tbh. 1. No care/compassion for the problem 2. No sense of urgency at all 3. Only cared about the fees and getting me to sign for payment 4. Getting more and more irritated with someone who's crying and has a dog that was throwing up 5. YELLING 6. A grown man following me 7. Just getting people to bring their dogs as soon as they can without getting to know the problem 8. Joking and laughing instead of doing their jobs like I couldn't hear everything they were talking about 9. No regard for new customers Even my husband called and tried to see what the problem was and they hung up on him. I have words, but I'd rather not use them. I'm making this review to let other people know not to come here. All they care about is the money. Anyone that cares about their dogs like their babies should go somewhere else. The only reason I stopped by was because my dog's vet wasn't open on a Sunday. I recommend Amar Glen, cheaper and wayyyy more caring. Even when I was so worried or upset at my dog's vet, I was never treated this way and that's why I got worked up to the point where I reacted at this place. PLEASE PLS go elsewhere. There's a clinic down the street from here that's better than this. I would HATE for people to be looking at my dog while laughing at the top of their lungs. I feel bad for the dog they were working on.
