Back again, needed shots updated and some meds, she's unusually calm at Dr. Kutz's office, usually she's a shivering mess at a vet or groomer. Always a friendly great place for pets and people. == Back once again, another nail problem, split in two, probably from playing ball in the snow and ice. It was not pretty, split all the way up. When I called Elk Meadow they said, probably another treatment like last time, she'd need to be anesthetized etc so I was prepared for another $300 or so fee with included medications as before. First, I was taken in with her to a room right on time and Dr. Kutz was in right away. He took a look and said, not so bad, we can just clean it up, clip what's left of the nail back a bit and, good to go! With pain and antibiotic pills, barely over $100.00 - he could easily have gone for the full treatment like last time, tripling the bill, but of course he did not. We have many vets much closer to home, but for years now have driven up to Bergen Park and Elk Meadow Animal Hospital for a uniformly great experience with a doctor and staff we trust completely. As always, 'highly recommend'! === Back again - a little emergency with a split nail and they were able to get me in same day. And again my nervous nellie dog went with the very sweet vet assistant like she was an old friend into the back for treatment. That alone makes Elk Meadow my permanent go-to for veterinary care. Dr. Kutz came out and told me what she'd need after he got a look, and that it'd be about an hour+, and he was right on the money. As always, great care, they had to knock her out and remove the thing, hit her with antibiotics etc but she came strolling out (well not so much a stroll, more of a stagger) and has been absolutely fine for 24 hours. Reasonable cost given it included anestesia, the procedure, medications etc. No complaints when the quality of care is always this good. == Well the review below was about 2 years ago and we've gone to Elk Meadow several times since, and still for us, always a great experience and very reasonable fees - very. She got a full checkup today with me in the room, a couple shots, conversations with the aid and the doctor about her health any issues she's having (none, fortunately). I really expected a bill in the $200+ range, cause, well vets are expensive. The total was $129 - nice. But we'd continue using Elk Meadow even if it was pricey, that's not the issue. Our dog is well cared for there, and they are friendly, helpful and informative with us in every interaction. I think when I read bad reviews - and things go south, anywhere, I realize - that maybe it's 'in the eye of the beholder' just a bit eh?? == We took our other dogs to Dr. Jason, always a great staff, helpful and friendly and with down to earth advice about the right food and possible health issues. Our first visit with our new dog Poppy was the same quality, and I left knowing we'd given her the best care possible. Can't wait to get the DNA test back and find out what kind of dog we have!

Took my American Eskimo in for a dental and an eyelid mass removal. Dr. Cristie Kutz and her team were amazing. Thank you for clearly communicating the treatment plan, and informing me on the next steps along the way. I would recommend Elk Meadow to anyone looking for quality veterinary care for their pets.

This place is fantastic! Especially if you like spending money unnecessarily, or dealing with a vet who has the personality of a cigarette butt and the communication skills of turnip. Being charged $70 for something that was NOT A PRESCRIPTION, which I could have picked up for less than $18 on Amazon is unacceptable and indicative of a vet who is more interested in profit margins than they are in doing what's right for you and your pet. .

We love Dr. Jason and the staff @ Elk Meadow Animal Hospital. Our dog Charlie has always received great care and we feel supported as his owners. We have been trusting EMAH for almost 3 years to be there and to take care of whatever is needed for our beloved pooch. Thank you Dr. Jason and staff! I recommend EMAH to anyone wanting professional and caring pet care.

We moved back to CO after 12 yrs in Scotland. After a 'not so great' experience at another local vet, Elk Meadow was recommended to me. I could tell straight away we were in the right place just by how my dog was acting. Thor is almost 14 yrs old, has had spinal surgery, another disc issue in his neck, allergies to injections, is on pain meds, has some arthritis and has started with Doggy Dementia. He walked into the hospital and didn't try to leave (that is a good sign!). He loved the receptionist even before getting a treat, when he saw the Vet Tech and Nurse he went straight to them to say HI and get a scratch. He was the same with Dr. Roth. No problems with blood test or urine sample. His new medications are helping him feel better and be more active. I am a happier owner knowing my dog is so well cared for.
