Wasn’t very impressed with there grooming vet had a 5 star experience with the vet. But for the grooming had 0 communication for my dog. Lied they groomed his tail and legs only cleaned his feet. Didn’t ask me what I wanted at all. Said they did a golden retriever cut and said they trimmed his tail and legs 0 had been cut. It’s been 80-90 degrees all week his stomach hairs are long legs are long his tail really wanted trimmed because he had been neglected before I got him and his tail hair isnt growing right so I really wanted it trimmed to help the hair grow better he’s a rescue and I really wanted his first grooming ever to get him cleaned up from the neglect of his old owners. ears still have hair in them don’t even know if they cleaned them or not. I even commented when they took my dog his leg hairs are very long and I’m very excited to get it cut off. 0 communication just took my dog when I walked in. Took 6 hours just to do his legs and washed. And on top of it when I called when he was supposed to be done. They said o ya he’s done. No communication he has been done. Was not very happy. Didn't get a recite or anything that was done. Over all just not very please with the communication.

Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C. Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C., a local establishment categorized as a Pet Hospital, situated at 121 S 6th Ave, Eldridge, IA 52748, USA. Operating with the phone number (563) 285-9642 and mobile phone number +1 563-285-9642, this clinic aims to provide veterinary care services and potentially offer related goods for pet owners in the Eldridge area. As a Pet Hospital, Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C. is expected to be a place where local users can seek medical attention, preventative care, and other services for their animal companions.
To provide a comprehensive and objective introduction, it's crucial to consider publicly available information, including customer reviews, to understand the experiences of other pet owners. Based on the reviews found online, it appears that customer experiences with Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C. have been varied, particularly concerning different services offered.
One customer review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the grooming services. The reviewer mentions a lack of communication regarding the desired grooming style for their dog, a rescue with specific needs related to its coat. The review details that despite requesting a trim, especially on the tail and legs, the customer perceived that little to no trimming was done. Concerns were also raised about whether the dog's ears were cleaned. The reviewer also noted a long waiting time for the grooming service and a lack of a receipt or information about the services performed, leading to overall unhappiness with the communication and the outcome of the grooming appointment.
In stark contrast, the same reviewer mentioned a "5-star experience with the vet," indicating that the veterinary medical services provided by the clinic were satisfactory for at least one aspect of their pet's care.
However, another review presents a deeply concerning account related to the veterinary medical services. This review describes the tragic loss of a pet shortly after receiving a distemper shot at the clinic. The reviewer recounts bringing their suffering dog in, even providing video evidence of the pet's condition. Following a shot administered at the clinic, the pet allegedly began having seizures and passed away. The reviewer suspects an allergic reaction to the distemper shot and criticizes the clinic's professionalism, further claiming that there is no longer a qualified veterinarian on staff, only a vet tech. This review strongly advises other pet owners to avoid the clinic, citing concerns about the quality of care and the potential for negative outcomes.
Considering these contrasting and serious claims from online reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive overview of the environment, services, and features of Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C. without further objective information. However, we can outline potential aspects typically associated with a Pet Hospital and juxtapose them with the experiences shared in the reviews.
Potential Environment: A typical pet hospital environment aims to be clean, comfortable, and reassuring for both pets and their owners. It usually includes waiting areas, examination rooms, and potentially surgical suites, grooming stations, and boarding facilities. The atmosphere should ideally be professional and caring. However, the provided reviews do not offer specific details about the clinic's physical environment.
Potential Services: A comprehensive pet hospital generally offers a range of services, which can include:
- Preventative Care: Vaccinations, parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworms), routine check-ups, and wellness exams. The negative review regarding the distemper shot outcome raises serious concerns about the safety and administration of vaccinations at this clinic.
- Diagnostic Services: Blood tests, urine analysis, X-rays, ultrasounds, and other procedures to diagnose illnesses and conditions. The reviews do not provide information about the availability or quality of these services.
- Medical Treatment: Management of various medical conditions, including infections, injuries, and chronic diseases. The negative review highlights a potentially critical failure in managing a pet's reaction to a treatment.
- Surgical Procedures: Routine surgeries like spaying and neutering, as well as more complex surgical interventions. There is no information about surgical capabilities in the provided reviews.
- Dental Care: Teeth cleaning, extractions, and other dental procedures. This service is not mentioned in the reviews.
- Grooming Services: Bathing, brushing, hair trimming, and nail trims. The first review details a negative experience with the grooming service, citing poor communication and unsatisfactory results.
- Emergency Care: Handling urgent medical situations. The reviews do not explicitly mention emergency services, but the case described in the negative review suggests a critical situation was handled at the clinic.
- Boarding Services: Providing temporary housing and care for pets. This service is not mentioned in the reviews.
- Pharmacy: Dispensing medications and other pet care products. This is implied by the administration of a shot but not explicitly detailed.
Potential Features: Features of a pet hospital might include experienced veterinarians and staff, specialized equipment, a commitment to patient care, and effective communication with pet owners. However, the reviews present conflicting perspectives on these aspects. One review praises the veterinary experience, while the other severely criticizes the professionalism and qualifications of the staff.
Promotional Information: Typically, a pet hospital might promote its services by highlighting its experienced team, state-of-the-art facilities, comprehensive care options, and commitment to animal welfare. They might offer introductory discounts for new clients or special packages for routine care. However, based on the provided information, it would be inappropriate to generate any positive promotional content for Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C. due to the serious negative feedback regarding patient safety and service quality.
Objective Summary: Based on the limited information and the significant negative feedback in the customer reviews, particularly the one alleging a pet's death due to a reaction at the clinic and questioning the qualifications of the staff, it is crucial for local users to exercise extreme caution and seek further information and potentially alternative veterinary care options. The positive comment regarding a "5-star experience with the vet" is overshadowed by the grave concerns raised in the other review. The negative grooming experience also indicates potential inconsistencies in service quality and communication.
It is recommended that local users considering Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C. for their pet's needs should:
- Conduct further research by seeking additional reviews and testimonials from various sources.
- Inquire specifically about the qualifications and experience of the veterinary staff.
- Discuss any concerns or specific needs with the clinic in detail before proceeding with any services.
- Consider seeking a second opinion from another veterinary clinic, especially for critical medical needs.
This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the available information. The strong negative feedback regarding a serious medical incident necessitates a cautious approach for any potential local users considering Eldridge Veterinary Clinic P.C.

Jul 18, 2024 · Autumn BrakemanWe took our beloved boy in for his distemper shot and now he's dead. He was suffering and we even took a video to them of what was happening because he was down and we couldn't lift him. Gave us a shot to give him. Right after the shot our boy started having seizures. He died with us trying to help him thru the seizures. Our poor boy died because he was having an allergic reaction to the distemper shot and the supposed trained professionals at Eldridge Veterinary didn't do their job. They don't even have a real vet there anymore. Just a vet tech that is not a doctor. It's time Dr. Elliot give it up before another animal suffers and dies! If you care about your animals you're better off avoiding this place!

But got there , met the sweetest gentle giant with ginger hair . He looked at my rabbit , looked up what he could do for him , cleaned his ear super well and found an antibiotic ointment for him , then told us who the best rabbit vet is , if it get any worst This people truly love pet , and didn’t turn their backs on pets in need .
