East County Large and Small Animal Practice

This is a truly special vet practice. We took our horse here for some regular care and a summer sore issue, and they did a great job. We later moved, but we came back to this clinic when we had to put him to sleep, because they were willing to let us be there when it happened. Not only did they let us be there with him, they were extremely compassionate about the fact that this was HARD. They didn’t rush us. They gave us the time we needed. Our horse passed more peacefully than we have ever seen an animal pass, due to Dr Blanche’s expertise and care. She is a wonderful vet who balances kindness with knowledge and ability. The gentleman they had who took his body after he passed, Jesus, was amazing, too. He helped our horse lie down as he was passing, and it was like watching a master work. We were afraid our horse was going to panic, but he was calm. Even the staff taking payment were kind and compassionate through this. On top of all that, we felt the prices were reasonable, too. Honestly, it’s probably worth the haul to bring your horses here if you are within driving distance, even if something is closer. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the entire team from office emergency staff the the equine Vets that came to the aid in an emergency situation and were so understanding professional yet the comfort and ease i was given being that i am 100%completely new to the hprse world. Being a professional canine behaviorist i was completely not prepared for what the horse world was involving. This team of professionals is and will always be the only way to go. My hat my heart and true gratitue goes to this team Hooch and i will forever be greatful.

Dr. Harlan and the staff were very kind and compassionate when we had to take our 15yr old dog to them to say our last goodbye. It was a difficult day but they were very nice and explained everything before easing her into her last moments. ECLAP has been there for us when we needed kindness and we appreciate you all very much. Thank you for making a rough day a little easier with your wonderful vets and staff.

I was truly impressed with how accommodating and nice everyone was at ECLAP. When my long time Vet was out of town and ECLAP was their back up, I was able to call about a situation and although it would be weeks before they could come to my ranch, I was able to secure an appointment for just a couple days away. I trailered my horse to their facility and was treated for the non emergency issue. My experience was wonderful with the knowledgeable, efficient and friendly staff. Dr Blanche was great Thank you for your care and ability to put an animal owner's mind at ease.

Dr. Chandler & assist arrived early to the appointment, listened to the owners concerns and were very thorough in their exam and explanation of their findings. A positive experience for horse as well... Thank you...
