Dr. Patrick Allen and his entire team are exceptional. When my father's young dog was diagnosed with a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injury, I began searching for a qualified surgeon. Dr. Allen is truly a hidden gem on the Eastern Shore—highly experienced, well-informed, skilled, caring, and compassionate as both a veterinarian and a surgeon. During our consultation, we learned that she had torn the ligament in not just one leg, but both. At that point, we were no longer facing a single surgery—we were facing two. Dr. Allen carefully explained the entire process and took the time to address all of our questions and concerns. After the surgery, he sat down with us, reviewed her X-rays, and described the procedure in detail. Our dog has been recovering well. Although she still has ten more weeks of recovery ahead, she is already using both legs and walking. Before the surgery, she had been scooting on her hindquarters. Trixie and her family thank you, Dr. Allen. I should also mention that the entire staff is Fear Free Certified—an added reassurance that your pet is in the very best hands.

My husband and I are forever grateful for the care they provided our late dog, Bo. We were only under their care for about nine months before we lost him to cancer but they were incredible. The best of the best. They even mailed us the sweetest, handwritten condolence card after his passing. Thank you Dr Michelle and Dr Patrick for your care. I also want to thank Vet Tech Lexi. We encountered her the most during our time at East Coast Vet and she was always so kind, patient and loving towards our sweet boy. The day he passed she gave me the biggest hug and in that moment I knew how much she came to love our boy too. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love, the Haynes Family
