Gave us plenty of information about our cat's skin condition, wrote a prescription, microchipped him and seemed to care about his well-being. Glad we chose this vet.

Eagle's Nest Veterinary Hospital provides an extensive array of services to cater to the diverse health needs of dogs, cats, and even exotic animals. Their core offerings include comprehensive preventative care, which is crucial for maintaining a pet's long-term health. This involves routine wellness examinations, tailored vaccination programs, and effective parasite control solutions (including heartworm, flea, and tick prevention). The hospital offers robust diagnostic services, utilizing an in-house laboratory for quick results on blood work (complete blood cell counts, chemistry panels, individual organ function tests), urinalysis, and tests for various infectious diseases. Digital radiography (X-rays) is also available for internal imaging. Surgical procedures are a significant part of their service portfolio, ranging from common procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft-tissue surgeries, orthopedic solutions such as cruciate repair, luxating patella repair, and fracture repair. They also offer specialized procedures like femoral head osteotomy (FHO). Dental care is provided, including full oral examinations, scaling, and polishing, performed under general anesthesia. Beyond these standard services, Eagle's Nest offers specialized treatments such as acupuncture (provided by a certified veterinarian since 2015) for conditions like arthritis, and rehabilitation services for dogs and cats. They also provide microchipping for pet identification and offer boarding services, ensuring pets are cared for with daily walks and proper feeding while their owners are away. Furthermore, the hospital assists with international travel requirements for pets and provides breeder services, including artificial and surgical insemination, progesterone and Brucellosis testing, and semen collection and evaluation. They also offer cancer therapy options, including surgery and palliative care, and dermatology services for pets with skin conditions and allergies. Prescription diets from brands like Hill's, Purina, and Royal Canin are available, along with preventative products.

This accessibility and responsiveness are highly valued by pet owners. The long-standing presence in the community since 1998 indicates a history of consistent, quality care and builds trust. The comprehensive nature of their services, covering general wellness, advanced diagnostics, specialized surgeries (including orthopedics with top-of-the-line equipment), and niche treatments like acupuncture and rehabilitation, positions them as a versatile and capable facility. The capability to care for a wide range of animals, including ferrets and other exotic pets in addition to dogs and cats, broadens their appeal. Eagle's Nest Veterinary Hospital actively promotes its services through various offers and discounts, making quality veterinary care more accessible. They offer "Monthly Specials" that combine exams with wellness profiles (bloodwork, heartworm tests, fecal tests, etc.) at a bundled price, emphasizing a comprehensive check-up. For new clients, they have a "New Client Promotion" offering 50% off the first wellness exam, with terms and conditions typically applying (e.g., limit one pet per household, applies only to exam fee, does not cover additional services). They also provide a "Dental Discount," offering 10% off dental services when scheduled within 30 days of a veterinarian's recommendation. A notable "Rescue Discount" offers a free first wellness exam within 30 days of adoption for pets from certified rescue organizations, provided adoption papers are presented. I have been with this Veterinary Hospital for a long time. They've take care of my cats, my dog and my ferrets. Extremely compassionate, kind, and understanding. The staff cares about your pets. I have had to make after hour calls scared out of my mind about my dog and always received the best advice from the on call doctor. This office is amazing, and I will continue to use them for all Veterinary care in the future.

I am not a current patient here, but I had a geriatric cat that started carrying water on her back and couldn’t jump anymore. She was an established cat at the vet in Malone and I called all over in three counties to see if anyone would look at my torte. Eagles Nest was able to squeeze us in and unfortunately the worst was what happened, they euthanized my 18 year old kitty the same day. I miss her everyday and sometimes I wish I had taken her back to my home to nurse her until her time, but it was for the best. That cat even at 18 could jump and catch birds out of the air and we knew she was uncomfortable. She was my dad’s cat and when my parents passed, she lived her last few years with my sister and when she needed help, I got it for her. So yes this vet does have compassion and caring for animals and I count myself lucky that they were willing to take my granny kitty in and help us help her across the rainbow bridge.
