Dundee Animal Hospital

We have had 5 furry friends who were/are patients of Dundee Animal Hospital, going all the way back to Dr. McConell. Dr. Kersting and the staff have consistently met and/or exceeded expectations in appt. timeliness, welcoming attitude, providing thorough explanations and examinations whether an annual or interim visits. We've always been confident in their assessments and recommendations.

I have a 3 year old lab mix that had not been acting right for a few days and deep down I knew something was wrong. I brought him to Dundee animal hospital and from the minute I walked into the door until 24hrs later when I picked my dog back up I can not say anything bad about this place and their staff. Everyone was so kind and passionate. My dog ended up needing emergency surgery to get the foreign objects stuck in his stomach out. They took such good care of my boy and Dr Kindra was hands down amazing. Very thorough, and made sure that I made an educated decision based on my dogs situation. Now recovery and can’t wait for my boy to be back to himself!

I brought my Chloe in as an emergency patient in the very early morning hours on a Sunday. The staff is beyond amazing! They saw her immediately. I've had my dogs their entire lives & they're 10 & 12 so we have seen our fair share of vet offices. This one, by far... is THE MOST CARING & COMPASSIONATE team I've had the pleasure of meeting. Every single person that I came into contact with, thank you! Chloe couldn't breath and had been previously diagnosed with hear failure. They have updated me in an amazing timely manner, friendly & engaging each time. I have been a crazy sobbing pet parent & they are so understanding & helpful Chloe is currently in the oxygen cage & I'm waiting for the fluid to come off of her lungs so she can come home. Highly recommend. I'm changing to them as my primary. ❤️

The staff and veterinarians are great when we have questions and concerns regarding our pets. Our cat Lenny has been going through a lot, and they have always helped in trying to figure out what is wrong and reassuring us that it will get figured out as there are many different routes we can take. Therefore, it puts our mind at ease. They are always quick to respond if we need a call back and they care about our pets just as much as we do. I would recommend Dundee Animal Hospital to anyone as they always put the needs of our cats first.

My Beautiful, 16 year old, Boston Terrier, Bella suddenly went into a seizure on Saturday night August 3rd and we took her to Dundee Animal Hospital. This was the 3rd time we had been here. The first time was February 2023, with my Boston William and then again in December right before Christmas with our cat Fred. Each time it was in the evening and each time I was met with care and compassion. William got into chicken wing bones as a baby while in someones care and I rushed home at 2 am in a snow storm from the city to find he needed his stomach emptied of almost a dozen bones. With Fred and Bella it was with delivering devastating news to our family. In December we decided to wait a few days to say goodbye to Fred after finding out he had lymphoma and an intestinal tumor but this time with Bella we didn't have that option. She was in a seizure that was not stopping. We knew it was time to say goodbye and the wonderful doctor was warm and compassionate as he helped us come to terms with what we already knew was the right thing to do. He helped us with Fred and again with Bella and unfortunately I don't remember his name but he is awesome. 16 wonderful years with the most amazing dog. It was hard. Very hard. When I picked her up a couple weeks later after having her cremated, I was worried about the container I was going to recieve as I did not have a choice. My other pets I had been given a choice except Fred and I had been unhappy with his container but that was a different facility. To say that they picked the most beautiful box for my girl is an understatement. She was a mom to 5 liters of planned puppies that made many families happy. This tree of life fit her perfectly. It made me cry all over again. And we received ink prints of her paw and nose. More crying. The thought and care that went into providing me with these items to remember my beautiful girl I will appreciate for the rest of my life. I would recommend this facility to anyone that needs emergency vet care.
