Dr. Seaman is a wonderful veterinerian who has cared for both of our dogs since we brought them home as puppies. I have found him to be a good listener and is very concerned about the welfare of my dogs. The few times we had issues, he explained the problem thoroughly and prescribed appropriate medicine. Unfortunately, these medicines are not cheap, but they never are. We went to another veterinarian with our previous dog and the costs were the same. We are extremely pleased with Dr. Seaman and his entire staff. The waiting room and exam rooms are spotless and they are very caring, thorough vets.

I'm really sorry to write this derogatory review about a fellow veterinarian and possessing academic degrees of M.S and Ph.D as that of mine. I was in Lab.Animal Medicine, not in small animal practice. I introduced myself with my card,he asked me did I practice veterinary medicine? I said "No". I took our dog (Havanese) to him for right ear bleeding. He took the dog inside for treatment (clients are not allowed inside, especially another trained person as owner). In five minutes he was back, with a small vial of Momentamax, (drop) and 15 tabs of 5mg Prednisone. He mentioned that the small growth on back was a cyst. The dog has problem in the planter side of both feet he licks and it bleeds , he did not examine, He mentioned about dog's food allergy (we gets the special diet ~ $ 80.00 from his office),NO mention about this feet problem.(bleeding etc) He mentioned that his assistant will tell me about the steroids. The charges was $179.00. 15 generic prednisone (5mg) costs how much ? The Gentamicin ? His 5 min. service? This is outrageous !!! Like our "HEALTH CARE" this is out of control. This country's "LOVE FOR PETS" being exploited by Veterinarians and this is being propagated by ORGANIZED VET. MED ASSOCIATIONS. State Veterinary Medical Boards are equally deaf , dumb and mum. It is a mess indeed. Dr. Richard Seaman is just one example. But , there are also others who are VERY REASONABLE , compassionate . Their number need to INCREASE, and GREEDY ,suckers need to retire and make room for really reasonable veterinarians , who will NOT CHARGE $.179.00 for 15 , 5mg (generic) prednisone, 15g Momentamax (Sebring) and 5 mins. service. In a subsequent telephone call ( which he was kind enough to return), to my question "Dr. Seaman I was on step down 10mg prednisone and I know the cost". He said "That's what costs us ". I said " you DID NOT gave me the option to buy my own". He did not say anything. WE KNOW THIS IS AN AVENUE FOR INCOME FOR VETS !!! "VETERINARY PHARMACY PRACTICE IS INCLUDED" Amar N. Bhattacharya BVSc (DVM) ,MS, Ph.D, AAVPT. Medeira, Ohio 45243 Sancho has problem in his paws ( it bleeds ) he failed to exam that
