Our outside cat came in with a swollen foot over the weekend and after calling several places Dr. Hittinger D.B.M. was able to get us in the same day. He was quick and so gentle our cat didn't even cry or try to get away. After just a few hours there was a noticeable difference in our cat and we couldn't be happier or more greatful.

The environment at Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital is designed to be a welcoming and well-equipped facility for animal care. As a full-service hospital, it typically features multiple examination rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, advanced diagnostic imaging areas (such as for digital radiography and ultrasound), and an in-house laboratory for quick and efficient blood screening. The clinic also provides boarding and doggie daycare services, indicating spacious and animal-friendly accommodations. The general ambiance aims to be professional and reassuring, aiming to reduce stress for both pets and their owners during visits. Reviewers often comment on the cleanliness and organization of the facility, contributing to a sense of trust and comfort. The ability to handle both routine appointments and emergency cases suggests a robust infrastructure and a team prepared for various veterinary situations. The staff are described in positive reviews as being quick, gentle, and providing compassionate care, making a noticeable difference even in challenging situations, as exemplified by a cat with a swollen foot being seen the same day and showing immediate improvement.

Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital offers an extensive range of services, going far beyond just vaccinations. Their offerings span preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and emergency services. For preventative care, they provide wellness exams, comprehensive vaccination programs for dogs and cats, parasite control (deworming, heartworm prevention, flea and tick control), and microchipping. Diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house blood screening, allowing for rapid and accurate diagnoses. The hospital is equipped for various surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgeries and specialized orthopedic surgeries, with Dr. Jobe Hittinger having a particular interest in the latter, even being certified to perform TPLO surgery for knee injuries. They also utilize advanced technologies such as endoscopy and laser surgery. For pet owners requiring overnight care or extended stays, boarding services are available, including luxury suites and play packages. Doggie daycare is also offered for active pets. Furthermore, Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital distinguishes itself by offering "after hours" emergency care, which is a critical service for pet owners facing urgent situations outside of regular business hours. This comprehensive service model positions them as a primary care provider for a wide variety of pet health needs, aiming to care for patients "from birth to our geriatric friends having special needs."

Several key features define Dr. Jobe Hittinger's practice at Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital. Firstly, the clinic's dedication to modern veterinary technology is evident through their investment in equipment like endoscopes, ultrasound machines, and digital radiography. This commitment to advanced diagnostics and treatment options allows them to provide a higher standard of care. Secondly, the availability of specialized surgical services, particularly orthopedic procedures like TPLO, means that pet owners in the area do not necessarily need to travel to larger urban centers for complex bone and joint issues. Thirdly, the provision of "after hours" emergency care significantly enhances the accessibility and reliability of veterinary services for the local community, offering peace of mind to pet owners. The presence of two experienced DVMs, Dr. Jobe Hittinger and Dr. Abel Hittinger, both born and raised in the area with a long-standing passion for veterinary medicine, contributes to a family-oriented approach and continuity of care. The hospital also offers boarding and doggie daycare, providing a convenient all-in-one solution for pet care needs. Their flexible payment options, including acceptance of CareCredit, further facilitate access to necessary treatments.

In terms of promotional information, Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital leverages various channels to inform the community about their services. Their website (appleseedvalleyvet.vetstreet.com) serves as a primary source for detailed information about their practice, staff, services, and contact information. They highlight their motto, "TREATING YOUR PET LIKE A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY," to emphasize their compassionate approach. The clinic often promotes specific services or seasonal needs; for instance, they may advertise specials on preventative products like FRONTLINE/NEXGARD, or participate in programs like the Zoetis Pet Care Rewards Program. Holiday-themed events, such as a "Happy Howl"oween Costume Contest, engage the community and encourage visits. Information about their operating hours (Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM-6:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM, Sunday: Closed) and 24/7 emergency services (via their main phone number (419) 884-1074 or +1 419-884-1074) is readily available. The hospital also uses social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to share updates, pet care tips, and promote their featured pets. Their commitment to ongoing veterinary education for their doctors, ensuring they stay current with new medications and technologies, is also a subtle but effective promotional point, reassuring clients of high-quality care.

It is important for prospective clients to be aware of the varied experiences reported by customers. While one review praises Dr. Hittinger for being "quick and so gentle" and providing excellent same-day care for an emergency, other feedback found online raises serious concerns regarding animal handling. Specifically, there are claims suggesting animal abuse and aggressive behavior towards pets by a veterinarian, with references to multiple alleged accounts from former employees and others on social media platforms. These conflicting perspectives highlight the importance of individual research and due diligence for any pet owner seeking veterinary care. Potential clients are advised to consider all available information, including both positive testimonials about compassionate care and negative allegations, to make an informed decision that aligns with their personal values and their pet's needs. The telephone number (419) 884-1074 or +1 419-884-1074 is provided for direct inquiries.

In conclusion, Dr. Jobe Hittinger, as part of Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital, stands as a full-service "Pet Hospital" in Lexington, OH. The facility aims to offer a broad and advanced range of veterinary services, from routine preventative care and vaccinations to complex surgeries, diagnostics, and critical emergency care. Its environment is designed to be comprehensive and accommodating, and its features include modern technology and specialized treatments. While the hospital promotes a family-oriented approach and receives positive feedback for compassionate and effective care, it is crucial for individuals to also consider the serious negative allegations that have been publicly surfaced regarding animal handling practices. This combination of information provides a more complete picture for pet owners considering Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital for their animal companions.

I wouldn't call him a Doctor, so let's just call him Abel. If you want your pet abused and slammed onto his tables when he gets angry, this is the place for you. Just search Facebook for over 30+ accounts of abuse from people who even worked for him. Run run run
