I was looking for a Dog Chiropractor about 4 years ago because our Dog Gizmo was having trouble walking. Gizmo is a Shih-Tzu Poodle Mix who is 16 years old. I did a Google search and came across Dr. Lewis, Animal Chiropractor. He adjusted Gizmo and got him back to walking and feeling good. Gizmo lived another year thanks to Dr. Lewis. Now our Yorkie-Poo Dog Croket is having trouble walking, laying down, sitting down, and getting up. Croket is 16 1/2 years old. Dr. Lewis is treating Croket now with adjustments and the cold laser. Croket is feeling better. Dr. Lewis is wonderful with Animals and he really loves them and cares about them. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis.

Welcome to Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC
For local residents in Bridgewater, New Jersey, searching under the category "Pet Hospital," Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC, located at 830 US-206, offers a specialized approach to animal healthcare, focusing primarily on chiropractic adjustments and potentially other modalities like cold laser therapy. The available customer reviews present a mixed picture of experiences, with notable successes reported in improving mobility for some smaller and senior dogs, alongside a cautionary account suggesting potential limitations or adverse effects, particularly for larger breeds. Therefore, an objective introduction must address both the positive outcomes and the reported negative experience to provide local users with a balanced perspective on Dr. Lewis's services.
Two reviews highlight positive outcomes, particularly with older, smaller breed dogs experiencing mobility issues. One pet owner recounts a significant improvement in their senior Shih-Tzu Poodle mix: "I was looking for a Dog Chiropractor about 4 years ago because our Dog Gizmo was having trouble walking. Gizmo is a Shih-Tzu Poodle Mix who is 16 years old. I did a Google search and came across Dr. Lewis, Animal Chiropractor. He adjusted Gizmo and got him back to walking and feeling good. Gizmo lived another year thanks to Dr. Lewis." This review underscores the potential benefits of Dr. Lewis's chiropractic adjustments for addressing mobility problems in older dogs. The fact that Gizmo, a 16-year-old Shih-Tzu Poodle mix with walking difficulties, regained his ability to walk and "feeling good" after Dr. Lewis's treatment is a strong testament to the potential effectiveness of his approach in certain cases. The added note that Gizmo lived another year after the treatment further suggests a positive impact on the dog's overall well-being and quality of life.
The same pet owner is now seeking Dr. Lewis's help for another senior dog: "Now our Yorkie-Poo Dog Croket is having trouble walking, laying down, sitting down, and getting up. Croket is 16 1/2 years old. Dr. Lewis is treating Croket now with adjustments and the cold laser. Croket is feeling better. Dr. Lewis is wonderful with Animals and he really loves them and cares about them. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis." This ongoing positive experience with a second senior, small-breed dog further supports the potential efficacy of Dr. Lewis's treatments for age-related mobility issues. The use of both adjustments and cold laser therapy indicates a multi-modal approach to care. The report that Croket is already "feeling better" suggests a positive response to the treatment. The reviewer's personal observation that "Dr. Lewis is wonderful with Animals and he really loves them and cares about them" speaks to his demeanor and dedication, fostering trust and confidence in his services. The strong recommendation reinforces their positive experiences.
However, a contrasting review presents a negative outcome: "Although the office and staff were hospitable, the treatment my pet received caused him to limp worse, and become more stationary with no will to move. This style of inattentive chiropractic practice might be more suitable for small lap dogs with smaller skeletal structure, but Definitely not for larger breeds." This review, while acknowledging the hospitality of the office and staff, raises a significant concern about the effectiveness and suitability of Dr. Lewis's chiropractic practice for all types of animals. The reported worsening of the pet's condition ("limp worse" and "more stationary with no will to move") is a serious adverse outcome. The reviewer's hypothesis that the "inattentive chiropractic practice" might be better suited for "small lap dogs with smaller skeletal structure" and "Definitely not for larger breeds" suggests a potential limitation in Dr. Lewis's approach or its applicability across different sizes and breeds of animals. This cautionary note is crucial for pet owners to consider, especially those with larger dogs.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Dr. Jason R. Lewis's office is described as "hospitable" by one reviewer, suggesting a welcoming and pleasant setting for pet owners. However, no specific details about the clinic's layout, equipment, or overall ambiance are provided.
The services offered by Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC, primarily focus on animal chiropractic adjustments, a hands-on therapy aimed at addressing musculoskeletal imbalances that may be contributing to mobility issues, pain, or other health concerns. He also appears to offer cold laser therapy, a non-invasive treatment that uses light to stimulate healing and reduce pain and inflammation. The positive reviews suggest these services can be effective in improving mobility and comfort, particularly in older, smaller breed dogs. However, the negative review raises concerns about the suitability of these treatments for larger breeds and the potential for adverse effects in some cases.
The key features of Dr. Jason R. Lewis's practice include his specialization in animal chiropractic, the use of cold laser therapy, his reported positive interactions with animals and caring demeanor, and the anecdotal evidence of success in treating mobility issues in some senior, smaller breed dogs. However, a critical feature to consider is the potential ineffectiveness or even adverse effects reported for at least one larger breed, suggesting a possible limitation in his practice or its application.
No specific promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. Chiropractors, including those specializing in animals, may sometimes offer introductory consultations or package deals for a series of treatments. Local residents in Bridgewater, NJ, who are interested in exploring animal chiropractic care for their pets with Dr. Jason R. Lewis are encouraged to contact his office directly at (908) 704-6700 to inquire about his approach, experience with different breeds and sizes of animals, consultation fees, and any potential introductory offers or payment plans.
In conclusion, for local residents in Bridgewater, New Jersey, searching under the category "Pet Hospital" and considering alternative therapies like chiropractic for their pets, Dr. Jason R. Lewis, DC, offers a specialized service. While there are positive testimonials regarding improved mobility and care for some smaller, senior dogs through adjustments and cold laser therapy, a significant caution exists based on a reported negative experience with a larger breed. Pet owners in Bridgewater should carefully weigh these varied experiences, consider the size and breed of their pet, and engage in a thorough consultation with Dr. Lewis to determine if his approach is suitable for their animal's specific needs and condition.

Jul 25, 2024 · Jacob MasciulliI heard wonderful things about Dr. Lewis. My neighbors old dog was unable to walk and their vet wanted to put the dog down. They went to Dr. Lewis and the dog is now up and walking. I was so amazed, that I made an appointment for my own old rottweiler Lexie who is just starting to have difficulty walking and standing. We were very happy with our first visit. We will be continuing the treatments with Dr. Lewis and doing the recommend exercise for our old girl.
Oct 06, 2022 · Michael RobertazziDr. Lewis is an animal chiropractor. He was a human chiropractor for many years and transitioned into working on animals of all kinds; dogs, cats, horses, goats... He's very passionate about what he does and how it helps our furry friends move easier and have happier lives. He does manual adjustments on the hips and vertebrae just like the way humans get adjusted and he uses cold Lazer therapy on muscles and joints areas. Chiropractic work is good for general wellness to help our pets stay in alignment and move easier to prolong their back and joint health and for pets that are injured, limping or having a hard time getting up from old age. He's very knowledgeable and friendly. He makes his own schedule and will have you meet him at a veterinary hospital that he works with to borrow an exam room or if you have a horse or goat he'll likely go to the animal.
