Welcome to Dr. Babette Simms
Welcome to the introduction of the veterinary care services associated with Dr. Babette Simms, located at US-250, Farmington, WV 26571, USA. Operating under the platform category of a Pet Hospital, this service aims to provide medical care and potentially related goods for the well-being of your pets in the local Farmington area. As a Pet Hospital, it is expected to offer a range of veterinary services. We will attempt to provide an introduction based on the limited information available, which includes contact details and two contrasting customer reviews.
Information regarding the specific environment of this Pet Hospital under Dr. Babette Simms is not detailed in the provided text. Typically, a pet hospital includes examination rooms for consultations, areas for treatments and procedures, and possibly surgical facilities and recovery wards, depending on the scope of their practice. One review mentions "all kind of cats running around," which might suggest a less conventional environment or perhaps the presence of resident animals. However, without further details or visuals from online sources, a comprehensive description of the environment is not possible. Local users may want to inquire directly about the facility to understand the environment better.
The services offered at this Pet Hospital can be partially inferred from the customer reviews. One review describes a situation where a dog with a sore was shaved, given pills, and sent home without cream, raising concerns about the treatment provided. The other review recounts emergency care for a dog shot by an arrow, where "Dr. Melton" (it's important to note this review mentions a different doctor's name) is credited with saving the dog's life over five days, indicating the capacity for emergency and potentially surgical care. This suggests that the hospital offers treatments for injuries and illnesses, and possibly emergency services. However, the discrepancy in the perceived quality of care between the two reviews highlights the need for more comprehensive information on the full range of services provided by Dr. Babette Simms's Pet Hospital. To understand the complete list of services, including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and other potential offerings, local users should contact them directly.
Features of this veterinary care practice are not explicitly listed. However, the review praising Dr. Melton suggests a capacity for handling emergency situations and providing dedicated, potentially life-saving care. The negative review, on the other hand, indirectly points to potential issues with the thoroughness of care and the treatment approach for a skin issue. The mention of cats roaming around could be seen as a unique, albeit potentially concerning to some, feature of the environment. Without more information, it's challenging to define the distinct features of Dr. Babette Simms's Pet Hospital objectively. Local users might want to inquire about the qualifications and specializations of the veterinarians on staff, the types of equipment available, and their approach to patient care to understand their features better.
No promotional information is included in the provided text. Pet hospitals often offer introductory deals for new clients, discounts on certain services, or wellness packages. To learn about any current promotions at Dr. Babette Simms's Pet Hospital, local users would need to contact them directly at (304) 825-1145.
The two customer reviews present very different experiences. One describes a "horrible experience" with perceived improper treatment, a veterinarian who seemed inexperienced, poor customer service, and a lack of appropriate medication (no cream for a sore). The presence of roaming cats was also noted. In stark contrast, the other review recounts a positive and life-saving experience during an emergency, highly praising "Dr. Melton" for her skills and care. This discrepancy makes it difficult to form a definitive overall impression based solely on these two accounts.
It is important for local users to consider both of these experiences. The positive review indicates that under certain circumstances, such as a critical emergency, the care provided can be exceptional. However, the negative review raises concerns about routine care, the knowledge of the veterinarian involved in that instance, and the overall customer service. The mention of cats in the environment might also be a factor for pet owners to consider, especially those with animals that might react to or be at risk around cats.
Given the limited and conflicting information, local users in Farmington, WV, considering Dr. Babette Simms's Pet Hospital for their pet care needs should perhaps seek additional reviews or consider contacting the clinic to discuss their specific needs and to get a better sense of their environment, services, and approach to care. The presence of two very different experiences suggests that the quality of care might vary or that individual perceptions differ significantly.
As a Pet Hospital in Farmington, WV, Dr. Babette Simms can be reached at (304) 825-1145. The address is US-250. Based on the reviews, it appears they handle emergencies and offer treatments for illnesses and injuries. However, potential clients should be aware of the concerns raised in one review regarding the quality of routine care and customer service. Further investigation, if possible, would be advisable for local pet owners to make an informed decision.
In conclusion, Dr. Babette Simms operates a Pet Hospital in Farmington, WV. Reviews indicate a wide range of experiences, from a "horrible" encounter with perceived inadequate care to a highly positive outcome in an emergency situation attributed to "Dr. Melton." Local users should take these contrasting viewpoints into account and consider seeking more information to assess if this Pet Hospital meets their pet's needs.

Jan 31, 2025 · Ethan WilsonMy dog was recently shot by an arrow by a deer hunter. It was truly an emergency. I showed up without calling and over the course of the next 5 days Dr. Melton did everything she could to save my dog's life. She is an amazing vet and an amazing person. Without her my dog wouldn't be with us anymore. Five stars all day everyday.

So empathy. NO Heart!!! I wouldn't bring a frog here!! If you love your animals DONT bring them here!!
