District Veterinary Hospital Eastern Market

I have been going to District Vet for over two years with our two dogs and one cat. We have an elderly cattle dog mix with chronic health issue and Dr Evans has provided outstanding care to her and our other two pets, who have had mostly wellness visits and dentals. The whole team of care providers from front of house to techs and even the other vets, like Dr Frost have all been super helpful, informative, friendly and professional. We travel from ADMO to Eastern Market because great vet care is worth it.

When Capitol Hill Animal Clinic closed, my dog’s paperwork was transferred here. It’s more pricey, but a very different user experience. Making an appointment easily via the phone, we wanted for one minute in the nice lobby before going back. The vet is friendly and knowledgeable. A wellness check and two shots later, we were checking out. The entire experience lasted under 30 minutes! There’s easy street parking nearby!

My cat Tocqueville has been a patient at District Vet Eastern Market for over 5 years and has received a wonderful level of care. From annual checkups to a few injury-related visits, I always know we are in good hands. The entire team clearly love animals and enjoy working with them. A special shoutout to Dr. Evans, who is our favorite!

My cat, Bella, was a patient at District vet for many years. We always had a good experience there with (mostly) reasonable prices, top rate veterinarians (especially Dr. Frost and Dr. Landes) and vet techs, and friendly staff all around. We never felt like District Vet tried to sell us on things we didn’t need and they never sent us home with less medication than we’d paid for (both of which happened when took Bella to the “pet hospital” on Pennsylvania Ave during an emergency). We recently moved to Australia and Dr. Landes was invaluable in helping us prepare Bella for the move. He made sure he was up to date on the current steps for moving a pet overseas, helped with the timeline to ensure everything was done correctly, and provided digital and paper copies of all the documents we would need. Bella was always treated with care and transitioned smoothly to her new life “down under”. Thank you for all your help and care of Bella over the years!

District Vet has been amazing with our dog, Indie! They’ve taken such great care of her through all milestones and sickness, always following up after visits and making sure she’s happy, healthy, and things are going smoothly. The team is kind, knowledgeable, and clearly cares about their patients. We’re so grateful to have them looking after Indie!
