Deshon Animal Hospital

I’ve been taking my calico kitten, Athena, to Deshon Animal Hospital for the past few months, and I’m beyond impressed with the care she’s received. Dr. Whitney has been wonderful—kind, knowledgeable, and always straightforward about the best options for Athena’s health. She’s been great about keeping Athena protected from fleas and ticks, which has been a huge relief. Just a few days ago, Dr. Whitney also performed Athena’s spay surgery, and everything went smoothly with no complications. What really stands out to me is how reasonable the care costs are—after shopping around, I’ve found that Deshon offers the most affordable prices without sacrificing the quality of care. I’ve always felt confident in the decisions Dr. Whitney makes for Athena, and it’s clear that the whole team at Deshon genuinely cares about the animals they treat. I can’t recommend this clinic enough.

My dog came in with a broken leg after slipping in the snow, and when I called ahead, I was given a price and a timeframe for treatment by the assistant. However, when I arrived, things were not what they made it seem They barely even examined my dog. Instead of addressing her injury or offering any immediate help, they simply rubbed her and told me to come back the next day for an X-ray. Then, to make matters worse, they informed me that the price for the X-ray would be double what I had been originally quoted. When I explained to the technician what I had been told earlier, she responded with an incredibly rude attitude. It was clear from her demeanor and the atmosphere of the office that the staff cares more about money than actually helping animals. My baby deserves better than this, and if you care about your dog, I strongly urge you to find a different veterinary office. Animals should be treated with care and respect, not as dollar signs.

Dr. Rose is excellent, but the new office manager and these prices are ridiculous; $25 for a nail trim on a 5-lb pup that doesn't even fight or bark without blinking an eye is crazy work. Also, the clinic manager told me she fired the old staff for not doing their job. Her words were so rude that I felt uncomfortable. The receptionist was nice but the environment lost the familiarity and warmth I’d experienced previously. Also, I heard the instructions to a pet waste fee to the nail trimming which I don’t think is added to all nail trimming, just mine. The office has an overall lack of professionalism so I will be finding a new vet. Thanks!

We've been customers for probably about 24 years and you all have taken care of multiple dogs including Safari, Honey, Dandy, Dexter and Woody. We love you guys sooo much! Thank you for loving on our fur babies!@!
