Bolt was previously diagnosed with a Heart murmur at the Chewy Vet clinic & at a follow up at Banfield. The recommendation was that we take him to a Cardiologist. We googled a few and we decided to proceed with scheduling an appointment at CVCA as the reviews were amazing. The service that we received mirrored what we had read. The staff was amazing, polite, nice, personable, caring, informative, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable & ultimately made Bolt feel secure. Bolt is unfortunately horrified of going to the vet. It was nice not seeing him scared. Yes he was nervous and anxiety was setting in but he did really well there. Dr. Otero was extremely thorough, explained everything, answered our questions & made sure to close any gaps that we may have had. They performed an echocardiogram & Bolt did amazing. He barely moved. Bolt was ultimately diagnosed with a Heart Murmur grade 2. We have some follow up that we need to do. They mentioned to change up his diet. I came home and looked at different dog foods, I asked them for an email address to help me choose, and they called us back to discuss the options. The staff was just so awesome. We are really grateful. You always want the very best taking care of your kids & furbabies. Im glad we chose CVCA WPB! Thank you for everything!

Jul 25, 2024 · Justin VasquezWe brought our 18 month old black lab in for an echocardiogram because she was having episodes of nearly collapsing and our vet noted an abnormality when listening to her heart. The entire visit was superb from the front desk staff with a welcome sign for our dog, an incredible vet tech, and Dr. Rivera explaining in detail his findings on the echo. All of the staff was incredible and we felt that our dog received great care.
Dec 11, 2024 · Andi DansbyDr. Rivera (head cardiologist) and his team at CVCA are the BEST around! I could go on and on about how great they have been with my baby (13 year old dog). He has saved his life! Not only is he the most knowledgeable vet..the love for the animals, thorough exams, follow ups, availability, etc by him and his team is extraordinary. I would give 100 stars if I could. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!!!
Dec 17, 2024 · Megan DohertyPricey, yes -- worth it, absolutely! My dogs are rescues and have been neglected so I make sure they get the treatment they deserve. CVCA is a truly great group of people. I feel as though my dog, Don Juan, is valued. From the moment we walk in we are greated warmly. There is even a little sign welcoming each patient! So sweet. I have not met a tech there that wasn't caring with my dog. He had his eyes removed, so he needs to be guided or carried in unfamiliar places. Dr. Rivera is kind and knowledgeable (and patient -- my dog is a wiggle worm and generally needs two techs to steady him.) Dr. Rivera prescribed meds six months ago and they are working to keep his heart from enlarging. His heart even got a little smaller and that was a win as far as I'm concerned. Also, he was prescribed a med for hypertention -- and that is working also as his blood pressure rate was perfect today! I highly recommend this practice. I added a photo of Don Juan below. He is sleeping on his trusty companion, Sasha Fierce. He was exhausted from our visit. Thank you CVCA!!
Jun 25, 2024 · Doreen FloodWe took our little 14 year old Pekinese/Chihuahua to CVCA for wheezing and cough. The appt was very easy to make. The staff were wonderful! Dr Rivera was great as well. He was very thorough and explained the Echo results and his recommendations in detail. We drove from the Upper Keys to West Palm and would gladly do it again as the experience was great and the good news was JoJo's heart was in pretty good shape!
