We love Dr. Maro and the whole staff. I see a holistic practitioner for my own health and was frustrated that I was unable to give my dog the same level of healthcare that has been life changing for me. We drive 40 minutes each way to get to this very special place and it is worth it every time. Leo's chronic stomach issues are diminishing nicely and his energy is improving. This is a journey, not a quick cure and I am so pleased that we have Dr. Maro in our community to provide this level of care to our pets.

The services offered at Cranberry Holistic Pet Care are exceptionally broad, encompassing both conventional and advanced holistic treatments. As a "Pet Hospital" specializing in integrative care, they provide essential traditional veterinary services such as routine preventive care, advanced diagnostics (including ultrasound imaging and CT scanners), and medical, dental, and surgical care. These include, but are not limited to, acupuncture, animal chiropractic care, Sanawave therapy, ozone therapy, swim therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, craniosacral therapy, therapeutic massage, IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and essential oil therapy. They also offer specialized services like stem cell therapy, immunotherapy, and integrative oncology for cancer prevention and treatment, often for cases where traditional medicine alone has limited options. Their mission is to create a lifetime of wellness for pets, promoting fear-free visits and offering personalized treatment plans.

Her passion lies in "seeing owners’ hope and happiness restored when pets with “untreatable illnesses” respond to integrative care." This level of expertise, combined with "genuine care and compassion," truly puts her "a step above the rest." The staff, too, contributes significantly to this exceptional experience, fostering a supportive environment that makes the often-long "journey" of holistic treatment manageable and ultimately rewarding for pet parents.

Apr 18, 2025 · Deborah BaronMy dog has been receiving treatment at Cranberry Holistic Pet Care for over 8 months now. I can honestly say that Dr. Maro is the most skilled and knowledgeable veterinarian I have met. Her expertise and care helped my dog walk again after she became paralyzed in her back legs. Maizie’s treatment has included everything from Sanawave to ozone therapy to swim therapy to Chinese herbs, acupuncture and chiropractic care. Dr. Maro has more options for pet owners than the average vet. And her genuine care and compassion puts her a step above the rest!
Aug 03, 2022 · Katherine WilsonLoved the experience. Our first appt was almost two hours. I know my cat Kiwi is being taken care of as a whole being for her health. She has liver issues and is blind. There is a tiny hope she may get a bit of her sight back. Highly recommended
Mar 22, 2025 · Stephanie CharlesHorrible experience with Dr. Maro. Will not be going back. From the start, she walked in and couldn’t even say hi or acknowledge me. Very rude! Dr. Maro got irritated when I asked a question about x ray results that we got a few months back. She rudely grabbed the file from her assistants hand, and shuffled through the paperwork, like my questions were a nuisance to her. Then, she got annoyed at me because I didn’t give the meds correctly, when it was her own team that wrote the instructions and i followed as it was written. Not friendly at all, not even a smile. Though, i found it funny that when I was checking out, I heard her laughing with another patient in a different room. So it’s okay to give a cold shoulder and be rude and unwelcoming to certain patients
Mar 16, 2025 · JoshWe wanted to try this Vet for a second opinion on treatment options for my canine. Our first visit was OK. Dr. Jones was very knowledgeable but talked so much and so quickly that I wasn’t able to get questions in. I have a background in medicine which helped me to keep pace with what he was saying but I was still feeling overwhelmed with the amount of info begin thrown at me and obviously was concerned about my pets condition. We went along with a treatment plan for a few weeks and then had a follow up appointment. That appointment ended up costing me more money than i expected to pay i.e. ‘recommended’ testing (which i didn’t feel was necessary but went with it for the betterment of my pet) and I feel like that was a common theme and a lot of my appointments. The last appointment I had at this clinic was not a great experience…again I was so conflicted about the pricing structure (i declined 4 or 5 different ‘recommended’ meds and treatments and argued down the cost for wrapping his foot). The treatment plan was for an autoimmune disease diagnoses i.e. steroid prescription for what ended up being standard allergies which simply required more regular bathing (as our second opinion helped us understand). It was honestly such a runaround, and I was very overwhelmed most of the time. Again, I think some of the techs were very nice and the provider seemed knowledgeable enough, but at the same time, it was hard to communicate my concerns, and it was unnecessarily costly at the end of the day.
