We love Dr. Shannon and all the staff at Coweta Animal Hospital. We wouldn't trust our 2 dogs to anyone else.

I have used Coweta Animal Hospital since 2011. I cannot stress how professional, compassionate and thorough the entire staff is when you bring in your pet. They've always given us options - when there have been issues - and have always been up front with costs concerning care. I've also boarded my little man there in the past. I CANNOT stress how many times I've talked to other pet parents that just absolutely love this practice. From the Physicians [I think my pet has seen them all!] to the Techs to the front desk, I'm so grateful that I brought my "pound puppy" to CAH when I first got him. I also bring my best friends diabetic dog in to receive care. Amazing staff. THIS is the place you want to bring your pet to when you need to choose a vetinary clinic.

One of our older cats is starting to have health issues. They got us right in and were an extremely useful resource to discuss what needed to be done. We have four cats and every visit has been low stress and wonderful.

It’s taken me awhile to write this review. My precious beagle Reba died almost 7 months ago. But thanks to Dr. Shannon we got way more time with her than we would have. Background: Many years ago (7+), we’d been taking Reba to a different Newnan vet. As a Beagle, she had lots of growths (any of which might have been cancerous). However, the original vet’s extremely high estimate for surgery put it way out of reach for us. Due to overall high vet costs, we switched years ago to CAH. The original vet’s surgery estimate was so high, we didn’t even bother to ask Dr. Shannon for quite some time (thinking “even a bit lower would still be too much”). But when we finally asked, his costs were WAY lower, and obtainable. He is not only reasonably priced, but goes above & beyond. That first surgery, he went in for one growth, but he removed a few others he saw, without extra cost. I can’t explain how very impressed I was by that! Over the last few years, Dr. Shannon removed more growths (since we could actually afford it). Some of them might have been cancer. But eventually, he confirmed cancer in her lungs that was completely inoperable. Even though I desperately wanted Dr. Shannon to fix my girl, I was impressed that once he realized how extensive it was, he didn’t try to push a bunch of expensive (and likely ultimately ineffective) treatments. Instead, Dr. Shannon provided meds that helped w/pain, temporarily improved her quality of life, and gave us a precious extra 2 months to love her and start to come to terms with the situation. Understand, this was 2 months ON TOP of the several years I believe Dr. Shannon gave us….all because he is willing to operate at prices people could actually afford. He is such a blessing! I’m still grieving my Reba-girl, but when/if we get another dog, Dr. Shannon will most definitely be our vet!

They fixed my dogs health problem but did not give a definite answer to why my dog had her illness or how it happened. They did get us in same day which I am thankful for. I just wished we could have narrowed it down better. Maybe a follow up call so I can understand better?
