We have been bringing our dog to Countryside for physical therapy since last November. He had three surgeries in 9 months for TPLO, and they have done an amazing job getting him back on his feet. Holly and Sophia are absolutely amazing to work with! They have done such a great job getting his legs back in shape. Also, the fact that they work with our pretty insurance company directly makes it so much easier.

As a full-service animal hospital, it boasts well-equipped spaces for various veterinary needs. This includes a welcoming reception area, well-maintained examination rooms, and dedicated areas for advanced diagnostics, surgery, and recovery. The facility has undergone significant renovations, with phase 1 focusing on upgrading existing hospital areas and adding new outpatient areas like waiting/reception and exam rooms. Phase 2 included the addition of an 880 sq ft retail area, a new grooming suite, and new canine and feline boarding wards, indicating a comprehensive and well-thought-out infrastructure. The retail area is noted to be commensurate with the quality of well-known retail establishments, suggesting a high standard for client convenience and product offerings. The hospital aims to create an environment where pets feel at ease, and staff are trained to be attentive, caring, and compassionate to all "fur babies." The fact that they are Fear Free certified further underscores their commitment to reducing stress and anxiety for pets during their visits, employing techniques that make the veterinary experience as positive as possible.

They emphasize comprehensive physical examinations and detailed history taking for accurate diagnoses.
  • Veterinary Dental Care: Recognizing the importance of oral hygiene, they provide advanced dental surgery, including restoration, bonding, gingival flap surgery, and endodontics (root canals), in addition to routine cleanings and digital radiographs to detect hidden issues below the gum line.
  • Surgical Services: A core offering, covering soft tissue, laser, and orthopedic surgeries. This includes complex procedures like TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) for cruciate ligament tears, as explicitly mentioned in customer reviews where a dog underwent three TPLO surgeries. Their capabilities extend to advanced surgical techniques, reflecting Dr. Holub's progressive approach.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment for accurate diagnoses, including ultrasonography, endoscopy, and echocardiography, in addition to general X-rays.

Countryside Veterinary Hospital boasts several standout features that contribute to its strong reputation. One significant feature, highlighted by customer reviews, is their proactive approach to working directly with pet insurance companies. This "makes it so much easier" for clients, reducing the administrative burden and facilitating access to care. The professionalism and compassion of their staff are consistently praised. The "Vet and all the staff were very helpful, informative and supportive," making efforts to "explain every step of the surgical procedure, easing our concerns." This dedication to clear communication and empathetic support is a cornerstone of their client experience. Dr. Brian E. Holub's extensive background and commitment to progressive veterinary care are also defining features. His interests include advanced dental surgery, pedigree cat medicine (stemming from his experience as a breeder of American Shorthair Cats for over 23 years), and his involvement with prominent organizations like the EveryCat Health Foundation and AKC Canine Health Foundation. The hospital's accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1999 is a significant mark of excellence, indicating that they meet over 900 rigorous criteria for medical equipment, customer service, and medical protocols. This designation is held by only about 15% of veterinary practices in the U.S. and Canada, signifying a commitment to the highest standards of care. Furthermore, their certification by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) means they take extra steps to reduce stress for cats during visits, making them a "Cat Friendly" practice. Their extended office hours, from early mornings to evenings on weekdays and weekend hours, provide accessibility and convenience for busy pet owners. They also offer online booking via their website and a new mobile app through PetDesk for easy appointment scheduling, refill requests, and accessing vaccination records.

Promotional information for Countryside Veterinary Hospital would logically highlight its extensive range of services, particularly its specialized capabilities in areas like orthopedic surgery (TPLO), canine rehabilitation, and exotic pet care. The hospital's AAHA and AAFP accreditations are powerful promotional tools, signifying a high level of quality and care. Testimonials emphasizing the staff's compassion, informative approach, and the positive outcomes of treatments like physical therapy are invaluable for attracting new clients. Current promotions, such as 50% off new client wellness exams, $25 off professional dental cleanings (with full-mouth dental x-rays included), and free nutrition consultations, are excellent incentives for prospective clients. They also offer a referral program, providing a $25 credit to loyal clients who help the practice grow. These specific offers demonstrate a commitment to making quality care accessible and rewarding client loyalty. Their online presence, including a detailed website and mobile app, serves as a primary platform for promoting services, displaying team bios, and advertising special offers. Furthermore, Dr. Holub's involvement in community initiatives, such as offering hospital tours for scout groups to help them earn badges and learn about veterinary careers, and his volunteer work as a ski instructor for New England Disabled Sports, subtly promotes the hospital's values and community engagement. The overall promotional strategy would focus on their reputation for comprehensive, compassionate, and advanced veterinary care, supported by a dedicated and highly skilled team.
