Countryside Animal Hospital is the best! We have taken our pets there for almost 12 years and they are kind, compassionate and caring. The staff and Doctors are exceptional, and have both cried with us during the loss of our pets and celebrated during the happier times. With top-notch veterinary care and a wonderful staff, you’d be hard pressed to find a better practice!

Dr. Widener is so genuine and gentle with the fur babies. I take my arthritic senior 🐕 and my allergic to who knows what 🐈 to see her. Recently did a well check on my two and my SO’s two 🐈 at the same appointment. She doesn’t push unnecessary vaccines or medications. She assesses the pets lifestyle and provides suggestions appropriate to the individual. Recently started my arthritic boy on Líbrela and she was thorough in explaining the medication and timeline of effectiveness, side effects and obviously potential that it doesn’t help in some cases. The whole team is wonderful!

I’ve been going to Countryside for five years, but after my last visit, I will never return. That visit nearly cost my dog her life. I am furious and deeply disappointed by the lack of sound advice and care we received. For the amount of money they charge, you would think they’d actually deliver results. Instead, we were charged nearly $600 for a visit where my dog was breathing heavily—her breath rate was over 40—and yet the doctor told us she was fine and sent us home. Within an hour of leaving, my dog’s condition worsened, and we had to rush her to the ER at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG). They actually cared, acted quickly, and ultimately saved my dog’s life. If it weren’t for VEG, I don’t even want to think about what could have happened. Countryside let us leave with a critically ill dog and gave us no sense of urgency or proper advice. For a practice that charges premium prices, this is completely unacceptable. It feels like all they care about is profit, not the pets they’re supposed to be helping. Reading other reviews about their high prices and lack of results, I now see that this wasn’t just a one-off experience. Countryside has lost not only my business but the trust of everyone I know. If you care about your pet, go to VEG or another provider that actually puts the lives of animals first.

We love Countryside Animal Hospital! Dr. Widener and the rest of the staff at Countryside are all amazing! We have a very nervous pup who hates going to the vet and Dr. Widener took the time to work with her and make her comfortable!

Once I get Heidi to the Vet she loves the staff and is usually very friendly. Dr Widener loves kitties and is so good with Heidi, even when i have to cancel an appointment because she Hides from me. She takes her time and answers all my questions while loving on Heidi Kitty!
