Dr. May saved my little boy. We had no idea how sick he was but Dr. May knew right away it was serious and diagnosed Smokey with FIP. We got him on the life saving medication and he is doing great. All the fluid is his abdomen is gone and he has tons of energy. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

Based on available online reviews, experiences at Cornell Center Animal Hospital appear to be varied. One positive review highlights the diagnostic acumen and potentially life-saving care provided by Dr. May. This customer recounts a situation where their cat, Smokey, was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a serious condition. According to the review, Dr. May promptly identified the illness and initiated treatment with a medication that led to the cat's significant recovery, including the resolution of abdominal fluid and a return of energy. This testimonial suggests that the hospital has skilled veterinarians capable of diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions.
However, other reviews present concerns regarding the customer service aspect of Cornell Center Animal Hospital, particularly concerning phone interactions and staffing levels. One reviewer detailed a frustrating experience involving multiple phone calls related to a rabies tag inquiry. This customer reported a perceived abrupt disconnection after their initial question was answered, followed by difficulties in reaching the same staff member again. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of the call and the perceived lack of basic phone customer service skills.
Further negative feedback focuses on the hospital's staffing levels, specifically at the reception desk. One review explicitly states that Cornell Center Animal Hospital is short-staffed in key reception roles, even on a Tuesday morning, suggesting a potentially ongoing issue during regular business hours. This reviewer opines that the patient volume necessitates more staff and implies that the current workload may be excessive for the existing employees. The reviewer goes as far as to suggest that potential clients should avoid the hospital to support the overworked staff and encourage the business to address its staffing issues.
Expanding on the staffing concerns, another review expresses a lack of confidence in the hospital's ability to care for animals if they are perceived to not adequately care for their human employees. This sentiment raises broader questions about the overall management and operational efficiency of Cornell Center Animal Hospital, as viewed by some members of the public based on their interpretation of the staffing situation.
Regarding the environment of Cornell Center Animal Hospital, the provided reviews do not offer specific details about the clinic's physical space, cleanliness, or comfort. Typically, a pet hospital aims to provide a clean and organized environment for examinations, treatments, and patient recovery. Without further information, it is difficult to objectively describe the ambiance or facilities of this specific location.
In terms of services offered at Cornell Center Animal Hospital, the positive review indicates proficiency in diagnosing and treating serious medical conditions like FIP. Veterinarians in a general practice pet hospital typically offer a range of services, including routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, general surgery (such as spays and neuters), and treatment for various illnesses and injuries. However, the provided reviews do not offer a comprehensive list of all the services available at Cornell Center Animal Hospital. Potential clients may need to contact the hospital directly to inquire about the specific services they require for their pets.
Features of Cornell Center Animal Hospital, based on the limited information, include the presence of experienced veterinarians like Dr. May, who is credited with accurate and timely diagnoses leading to positive patient outcomes. However, the negative reviews point to potential issues with front-of-house operations, specifically regarding phone etiquette and staffing adequacy. It's important for prospective clients to weigh these contrasting perspectives when considering this veterinary care provider.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Cornell Center Animal Hospital in the provided reviews. Pet hospitals may occasionally offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal promotions for specific services (like dental cleanings), or wellness plans that bundle preventative care services at a discounted rate. To obtain information about any current promotions or special offers, it is recommended to contact Cornell Center Animal Hospital directly at the provided phone number or inquire during an initial consultation.
In conclusion, Cornell Center Animal Hospital in Beaverton, OR, has received both positive feedback regarding the quality of medical care provided by at least one of their veterinarians and negative feedback concerning customer service, particularly phone interactions, and perceived understaffing of reception personnel. While one client shared a positive experience with a serious medical diagnosis and treatment, others have raised concerns about the administrative aspects of the practice. Potential clients should consider these varying perspectives and may wish to contact the hospital directly to assess whether their specific needs and expectations can be met. Cornell Center Animal Hospital is located at 16155 NW Cornell Rd #800, Beaverton, OR 97006, and can be reached at (503) 645-1564 or +1 503-645-1564 for further information.

Feb 04, 2025 · Travis SchusterCalled to check on a possibly expired rabies tag. Spoke with Tracy who answered my question and then the call was "disconnected ". The timing was suspicious and felt very much on purpose. I'm tired of poor customer service so I called back and asked if she hung up on me. She stated she didn't and she had a line of people then proceeded to ask if I had another question. My exhaustion with this poor level of basic phone customer service led to shock so I stated I didn't have a question and we ended the call. However, the anger at her dismissal remained. So yes I called back for a 3rd time ( keep in mind given 10 seconds longer during the 1st call would have given a pleasant end to this whole thing). The office has caller id. I was sent directly to hold and then to hold again. Finally, Tracy answered so I asked "is it company policy to hang up on clients after their question has been answered?" She stated no, but she is the only one there and she has a line. She would leave a message for (medical something) I assume is her supervisor? Cornell Center Animal Hospital is shorting staffing of key reception personnel. They obviously have enough patients for there to be a need for more- this was Tuesday morning! If this vet cared they would hire enough staff and not over work those who remain. Please support working staff and don't take your animals here. Sadly, the only way business like this will learn is by losing business. If Cornell Center Animal Hospital can't care for the humans in their employ; I'm not confident in their ability to care for the animals in my life.
Nov 05, 2024 · Angel GDr. David May and the staff are wonderful! I really appreciate that they give options when it comes to treating our two doggies, the more “heavy duty” approach or the “entry level and monitor” approach, they give you well informed options while making sure our dogs get the best care! Our two girls just received dentals and they were very careful to explain everything, it was the most thorough post opp appointment! Mason, one of their techs was awesome and you could tell he has a great combo of knowledge, experience, and love for animals! Great team overall and very trustworthy!
Aug 17, 2024 · Megan GogalGreat, first visit and my dogs loved all the attention they received. Vet was great and very personable. Glad I switched so far.
Oct 03, 2024 · Mike SelfI am so thankful for Cornell Center Animal Hospital. We are visiting from out of state and when our furry friends got extremely sick with intestinal parasites the Dr's and staff were not only knowledgeable and professional they were also patient and kind! Olive and Cookie are very important members in our family and believe Cornell treats them as if they were family too.
