Connersville Veterinary Clinic

About 5 months ago our elderly sweet boy started having a seizure every hour. Unfortunately it was after hours and the vet told us to monitor and call back the next morning. When we called back the next morning a) staff could have cared less what we were experiencing and b) was told he the vet had a full schedule and does not make work arounds. So with that said they wanted us to wait another day and a half to put our dog down. Mind you we were not new customers we had been taking our dog there for 2 years atleast. When you work in any profession you have to instill some form of compassion and empathy and that was far from what we received. My sweet boy was able to cross the rainbow bridge peacefully thanks to another veterinarian office. You all should be ashamed of yourselves!

Overall, this clinic seems more interested in promoting unnecessary treatments and adhering to rigid policies than providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care. I strongly advise seeking veterinary services from a clinic that prioritizes the well-being of animals and is willing to go the extra mile for their clients. I was surprised and disappointed when the clinic insisted on a year-round flea treatment. Despite my (and multiple other vets) explanation that an 8-month treatment is sufficient in our area, the clinic's pushy and insistent attitude was concerning. I was further dismayed by the clinic's handling of my pet requiring urgent medication for a life-threatening condition, which is a standard prescription we obtain every 10 days for his treatment. Due to a miscommunication between our exotic veterinarian and the pharmacy, there was a two-day gap in medication, and our normal vet's office closed but willing to call it in elsewhere for us so we can make it work till Monday. Our veterinarian offered to call in the prescription to the clinic's pharmacy, but they refused to process it because they do not handle exotic animals. This was simply a refill from our pets vet for a medication, they carry. We did not ask them to see our animal since they only handle cats and dogs it should have been a non starter. The clinic then referred us to a human pharmacy that doesn't carry animal medications. Frustrated, we contacted another veterinary office, who promptly assisted us with our urgent need. Despite the urgency, the clinic was unable to assist with a prescription refill for a non-patient, even though the situation required immediate attention. This lack of flexibility and compassion is highly concerning from any veterinary office. These incidents, while seemingly minor, reveal a larger issue with the clinic's priorities. We seek a veterinary practice that values open communication, tailored medical advice, and values the overall well-being of our pets not their pocketbook.

These are pictures of my Peetie. I took her to Connersville Veterinarian and they treated her with such kindness. She is terrified because of bad treatment and experience at another vets. She was soothed by them but still scared. The second time wasn't as traumatic. I am hoping she will feel less anxious the more we go.
