If you want the best care for your pets you're better off elsewhere. Very hard to make appointments here. It's fine for annual checkups that you can schedule in advance but don't expect to be able to bring your pets here if they have an issue. They were unable to deal with my dog that has trauma and is nervous in the vet during a routine exam. Three other vets have been great with him over the years but not CVC. They also won't allow you to fill prescriptions through chewy and force you to buy your supplies through them.

Connecticut Veterinary Center Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Connecticut Veterinary Center, a Pet Hospital located at 88 High Rd, Kensington, CT 06037, USA. You can contact them at (860) 229-8960 or via their mobile number, +1 860-229-8960. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences with this veterinary center appear to vary, with some praising the doctors and emergency services, while others express concerns about appointment availability and their approach to certain pet behaviors and prescription policies.
One reviewer advises pet owners seeking the "best care" to look elsewhere, citing difficulties in making appointments. They note that while the center might be suitable for annual checkups scheduled in advance, it may not be a viable option when a pet has a more immediate issue. This customer also shared a negative experience regarding their dog, who has trauma and is nervous at the vet. They reported that Connecticut Veterinary Center was "unable to deal with" their dog during a routine exam, contrasting this with positive experiences at three other veterinary practices over the years. Additionally, this reviewer mentioned a policy against filling prescriptions through online pharmacies like Chewy, stating that clients are required to purchase supplies directly from the center.
In contrast, another reviewer shared a more positive overall experience, mentioning that they have used Connecticut Veterinary Center at both their West Hartford and Berlin locations. This suggests that Connecticut Veterinary Center might have multiple facilities, indicating a larger organization. This reviewer stated that "the Drs are great" and specifically praised their emergency services as "awesome!" This positive feedback highlights the skills and effectiveness of the veterinary doctors and the quality of care provided during emergency situations.
Considering these contrasting views, the environment and services at Connecticut Veterinary Center might vary depending on the specific location (Kensington, West Hartford, or Berlin) and the nature of the visit (routine vs. emergency). The positive mention of emergency services suggests that at least some locations are equipped to handle urgent medical needs effectively. The negative comment about handling a nervous dog during a routine exam might indicate a limitation in their behavioral management techniques or the time they can allocate to such cases during standard appointments.
As a Pet Hospital with multiple locations, Connecticut Veterinary Center likely offers a range of standard veterinary services. These typically include annual wellness exams, vaccinations, routine medical care, diagnostics (such as laboratory tests and imaging), and surgical procedures. The positive mention of emergency services indicates they are also equipped to handle more critical and urgent medical situations. However, the negative review points to potential limitations in accommodating pets with specific behavioral challenges during routine visits and a policy regarding prescription fulfillment that might be less convenient for some pet owners.
Features of Connecticut Veterinary Center appear to include experienced doctors, as highlighted by one reviewer. Their emergency services are also noted as a strong point. However, a potential drawback, according to one review, is the difficulty in securing appointments for non-routine issues and their policy on prescription fulfillment. The varying experiences between routine and emergency care, and potentially between different locations, suggest that the overall experience might depend on the specific circumstances of the pet's visit and the owner's preferences regarding prescription purchasing.
No specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Typically, a veterinary center with multiple locations might promote the convenience of having different sites, their expertise in specific areas (like emergency care, if that's a strength they emphasize), or wellness packages for routine care. However, based solely on these reviews, we cannot identify any active promotions. The positive feedback on the doctors and emergency care could be seen as an implicit promotion of their medical staff and urgent care capabilities.
For local users in Singapore considering this information, it's important to weigh the different aspects highlighted in the reviews. The praise for the doctors and emergency services suggests a competent medical team, which is a crucial factor when choosing a Pet Hospital. However, the reported difficulties in making appointments for non-routine issues and the policy on prescriptions might be considerations for some pet owners. If your pet has specific behavioral challenges during vet visits, the negative experience shared in that regard is also something to note. Ultimately, these reviews provide a mixed perspective on Connecticut Veterinary Center.
In conclusion, Connecticut Veterinary Center, with locations including Kensington, West Hartford, and Berlin, appears to have competent doctors and provides effective emergency services, according to one reviewer. However, another customer reported difficulties in scheduling appointments for non-routine issues, challenges in handling a nervous dog during a routine exam, and a policy requiring the purchase of prescriptions and supplies directly from them. Potential clients might find them suitable for routine, pre-scheduled care and emergency situations, but should be aware of the reported limitations regarding appointment availability and prescription policies. For users in Singapore, this overview highlights the importance of considering various aspects such as appointment ease, handling of pet temperament, and prescription policies when evaluating a local Pet Hospital.
