I had the absolute best experience with Dr. Caballero! I brought my cat in for a routine annual exam/establish care and Dr. Cab treated my sweet cat Callie with such kindness and compassion. During the exam, Dr. Cab noticed Callie's teeth were not doing so well and recommended setting up a dental cleaning. I was so nervous for Callie the day of the procedure, but Dr. Cab was so sweet, and provided me with reassurance to make me feel better. Callie did great with the the dental cleaning. She ended up needing some extractions (this is your reminder, brush your cats teeth!) but did fine, Dr. Cab even told me she carried her around for a while after the procedure to help soothe her/give her extra cuddles - I cannot imagine this quality of care anywhere else or with anyone else! A member of the Complete Pet Care team called to check in on Callie the next day and were also so kind. I would 100% recommend this clinic for all your pet care needs!

Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage, your local Pet Hospital situated at 941 Gateway Commons Cir, Wake Forest, NC 27587, USA. As a part of the Pet Hospital category, this facility aims to provide a range of services and potentially sell goods related to the health and well-being of your pets. Based on the available customer reviews, we can explore aspects of their environment, services, and features to give local users a detailed overview.
The environment at Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage, particularly concerning the veterinary care side, appears to be one of kindness and compassion. One reviewer specifically highlighted their experience with Dr. Caballero, noting the gentle treatment of their cat Callie during a routine exam. The reassurance provided before a dental cleaning and the extra care given post-procedure, such as Dr. Caballero carrying Callie to soothe her, suggest a nurturing and attentive environment. The follow-up call the next day to check on Callie further indicates a caring and proactive approach to patient well-being. This paints a picture of a veterinary clinic where staff are not only professional but also genuinely concerned about the animals they treat.
The services offered at Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage seem to encompass both veterinary medical care and pet grooming. From the reviews, we know they provide routine annual exams, dental cleanings (including extractions when necessary), and general care for pets. The positive experience with Dr. Caballero indicates a focus on thorough examinations, clear communication of findings (such as the need for a dental cleaning), and skilled execution of procedures. The fact that a team member called to check on a patient post-procedure suggests a commitment to post-operative care and patient recovery. While the full spectrum of veterinary services isn't detailed, it's typical for a Pet Hospital to offer a broader range, including vaccinations, diagnostics, treatment for illnesses, and potentially surgical procedures beyond dental work. For a complete list, direct inquiry would be advisable.
Regarding the grooming department, one detailed review offers a contrasting experience. Initially, the reviewer sought grooming for their long-haired cat, being assured that all groomers could handle both cats and dogs. However, the experience resulted in a very unsatisfactory "shave/lions cut," which was presented as the only option for cats despite the owner showing pictures of the cat's usual grooming style. The outcome was described as uneven and aesthetically displeasing. More concerningly, a patch shaved too closely led to razor burn, inflammation, and subsequent alopecia requiring specialist veterinary care. This paints a picture of potential issues within the grooming department, particularly concerning experience with and policies regarding cat grooming.
However, it's important to note that the management of Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage responded to the negative grooming review. The reviewer updated their rating from 1 to 3 stars after being contacted by a "very kind, understanding, and helpful" manager. The manager inquired about the cat's well-being, discussed potential causes and solutions for the hair loss, and explained the clinic's policies. They also suggested that a specialty cat groomer might be a better fit for the cat. This proactive response from management to address a negative experience indicates a willingness to engage with feedback and find solutions, which is a positive feature of the overall establishment.
Features of Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage include the compassionate and thorough veterinary care exemplified by Dr. Caballero and the follow-up support provided by the team. The responsiveness of the management to address concerns raised in reviews also stands out as a positive attribute. However, the experience described in the grooming department highlights a potential area for improvement, particularly in handling specialized grooming needs like those of long-haired cats.
For local users in Wake Forest, NC, the reviews offer a nuanced perspective. The positive feedback regarding the veterinary care provided by Dr. Caballero should be reassuring for those seeking routine check-ups, dental care, and a compassionate approach. The willingness of the management to address and discuss concerns from the grooming service user is also a positive sign of their commitment to customer satisfaction, even if the initial service fell short. However, those specifically seeking pet grooming, especially for cats with particular needs, might want to inquire further about the groomers' experience and policies before booking an appointment.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information provided in the text. However, the positive testimonial about Dr. Caballero's care could be seen as an implicit endorsement for their veterinary services. The willingness of the management to engage with and address negative feedback could also be viewed positively by potential clients.
In summary, Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital at Heritage appears to offer commendable veterinary care, characterized by kindness, thoroughness, and good follow-up. The grooming department, based on one detailed account, seems to have had challenges with cat grooming, although the management's response to the issue suggests a commitment to addressing concerns. Local users should weigh these different aspects when considering this Pet Hospital for their needs.

May 06, 2025 · Krishna PatelChanging rating from 1 to 3 stars after being contacted by management. The manager who called was extremely kind, understanding, and helpful. She first asked about the well being of my cat, and possible causes/solutions for the hair loss. She also explained the policies and reasons behind them. We agreed that a specialty cat groomer would be a better solution for my high-maintenance kitty. I would consider this groomer again if I had a dog that needed grooming. *Pro tip: Consider grooming challenges when falling in love with the beautiful, long haired kitten :) Original Review: This review is specifically for the Grooming department; I do not have any experience with the vet care side. I have a long haired cat who requires grooming due to very fine hair that mats easily. Sadly our regular groomer passed away and I was desperate to have my kitty groomed. I called first to ensure that the groomer that the appointment was scheduled accepted and were experienced with cats and was told that all the groomers were able to groom both dogs and cats. The appointment was on 10/3/24. When I arrived I was told by the groomer that a shave/lions cut is the only option for cats. I explained how my cat was usually groomed and showed pictures, but was told it would have to be a shave per their policy, which I agreed. She said she would leave her mane and tail. I thought about leaving, but my cat really needed to be groomed and have a few knots cleaned up so I moved forward and figured the hair would grow back. When I got my cat home, she looked terrible. I understand cats getting groomed is uncommon and we’ve had our fair share of bad haircuts over the years. I don’t expect perfection— she isn’t a cat model or show cat. But this was BY FAR the worst haircut she has ever had. Her fur was not even, her mane looked like it had layers, her legs looked like she was wearing leg warmers. She looked absolutely ridiculous. But, she was happy and looked much more comfortable so I let it go, chalked it up to $150 wasted, and moved on. It didn’t become evident until a few weeks later just how terrible this groom actually was. There was one strip of fur in particular that looked like the guard of the clippers fell off. This spot was significantly shorter than the rest of her body. She was shaved so closely the area got inflamed and she needed vet care. Turns out it was razor burn. She now has Alopecia that we are seeing a (very expensive) specialist for- that spot will likely never grow back fully again. What I thought was just a bad haircut has turned into a medical issue and I feel terribly guilty for leaving her in this groomer’s care. I wish I walked out when I first started getting red flags!
Jan 14, 2025 · Stevie BlomquistThere is no group I would recommend more than this beautiful group of people. From the time that they met my “black dog” and “brown dog” they have shown them what loving animals is about. Recently, we had to say the most heartbreaking goodbye to “black dog” and he was our best boy. We have never felt more love from a veterinarian than we were shown from Dr. Cab and her wonderful “family” in our lives. We went through a few veterinary clinics in this town, and none of them compare to the compassion nor the professionalism, and empathy they all share with their clients. Now, we take “brown dog” in for her check ups and they greet her with the most loving smiles and pets. She’s definitely nervous to go to the vet now, but she loves seeing Dr. Cab and all of her vet tech friends, knowing she is going to get well taken care of. We also are grateful, knowing that Dr. Cab is straight forward with us about our pet’s health and will never allow us to go down a rabbit hole with trying to find a path that doesn’t exist. If you want a vet that cares for your animal that will be compassionate, that will not be after your money, this is the place.
Jan 09, 2025 · Rachel KlaverWe had an appointment with Dr. Kelly Holding at Complete Pet Care in Wake Forest to establish care for our rescued senior pup. She was warm, kind, gentle, and highly knowledgeable. Benny went right to her so I knew then that this was a good fit. From the time we checked in (front desk staff was efficient and pleasant) everything went smoothly. As our boy has heartworms we came away with a good feeling that Benny is in very caring capable hands. Would highly recommend this practice.
Apr 21, 2025 · Florrie MulveyComplete Pet Care at Heritage is the best veterinarian office I've been to in 20 years of having animals. I truly believe that in the case of my senior dog they've given us time we wouldn't have had with her otherwise. She is old and slow, but I believe her quality of life is still there because of their efforts. Every staff member I've ever encountered has been knowledge, friendly and professional. My family is so fortunate to have them so close to home. We had a cat ethunized last year and the care and time they put into it was econd to none. Thank you for everything you do. It means so very much.
