This probably is the worst vet In all of SC. I called an booked an appointment with them for my fur baby to have her shots an wellness check updated for the year. Paid a deposit mind you to confirm her appointment 6 or 7 days before her appointment. I took off work to even take my beloved pet to her appointment to find out they cancelled her appointment with a text message the same day ass her appointment. When I called the staff was like we sent you an email an confirmation letter saying you have to confirm her appointment which I never received. Well I said I paid a deposit so why wouldn't that confirm her appointment??? Then staff was then rude an put me on hold to ask the vet if I could be put back in because they know I didn't cancel. She comes back on the phone an tries to tell me If your not happy with our policies you can go somewhere else. I have never been so disrespected by a vet in my whole life. An mind you these people are ones looking after our pets. I'm glad in the end my Lola deserves better treatment an kindness. Would highly recommend nobody go there. Take your business somewhere else. An now I'm still waiting for my deposit back from these terrible people.

These services encompass various aspects of veterinary medicine, aiming to offer thorough and effective care. While a definitive, exhaustive list of all services is not publicly available, based on common offerings at comprehensive pet hospitals and general information, you can typically expect the following:

  • Preventative Health: This is a cornerstone of their care, focusing on keeping pets healthy and preventing illnesses before they become serious. This often includes routine wellness check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, parasite prevention (such as heartworm and flea/tick control), and nutritional counseling to maintain optimal weight and health. Regular preventative care visits are crucial for early detection of potential health issues, which can ultimately save on more costly treatments down the line.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: To accurately diagnose internal conditions, the facility likely utilizes diagnostic tools such as X-rays (radiography) and potentially ultrasound. These technologies allow veterinarians to visualize internal organs and structures, aiding in the diagnosis of injuries, illnesses, and other medical conditions.
  • Surgery: As a pet hospital, Companion Veterinary Care Center is equipped to perform various surgical procedures. This can range from routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. The focus is on providing safe and effective surgical interventions with appropriate pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
  • Dental Care: Oral health is vital for a pet's overall well-being. Services typically include professional dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar, extractions of diseased teeth, and addressing other oral health issues.
  • General Medicine: This covers the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of common ailments and injuries. This includes addressing infections, gastrointestinal issues, dermatological problems, and managing chronic conditions.
  • Laboratory Services: In-house laboratory capabilities allow for quick and efficient processing of blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests, enabling prompt and accurate diagnoses.
  • Pain Management: Recognizing the importance of comfort, the center provides solutions for pain management, especially for pets recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or experiencing acute pain. This may include medication and other therapeutic approaches.
  • Client Education: A significant part of their service offering is educating pet owners on how to best care for their animals. This includes advice on nutrition, exercise, behavioral issues, and preventive measures to ensure a long and healthy life for their pets.

I am very attached and over protective of my big guy and they are amazing and seem to care so much. Me and my dog are at ease there. Highly recommend if you love your animal like family as I do!

My Sammie is a patient of Doc and I just love him! This is my first pet and I love my Sammie more than anything! Doc is so patient with Sammie and he takes the time to explain what to expect and what to do to help my baby with his possible allergies. You can tell that everyone there loves all the animals they see. It makes me happy to know my baby is in good hands.

I recommend this family-owned vet practice. Dr. Lockhart aka Doc takes time w his patients and their owners. He's smart, and he makes thoughtful referrals when necessary to provide "gold standard" service. He's provided successful surgeries for many dogs and cats for my family. We respect and depend on him for yearly veterinary checkups. His wife Jennifer takes a personal interest in their human clients while managing the whole shebang.
