I want to give my biggest heartfelt thank you to Community Vet Care for being so gracious, caring, and supportive when it was time to send my 16-year-old cat over the Rainbow Bridge. Not only did they put us in a lovely, quiet room so that I could hold him when he left us, they made sure that we left with a plaster print of his paw and a glass vial of his fur so I had something of him while I was waiting for him to be returned from cremation, and when I picked him up, he was in a beautiful box inside a velvet bag that contained a lovely card from the cremation company. Also, every employee signed a beautiful card with Smokey's name on it. Community Vet Care made such a difficult time in my life easier to bear, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I highly recommend this veterinarian. Their euthanasia prices are far less than others I called. I will never use another service than Community Vet Care. Thank you so much for sending my baby away so beautifully and respectfully.

Environment: A Comfortable and Supportive Space

Community Vet Care understands that visiting a pet hospital can be a stressful experience for both animals and their owners. To mitigate this, they have cultivated a welcoming and calm environment. One reviewer specifically mentioned a "lovely, quiet room" provided for saying goodbye to a beloved pet, indicating a thoughtful design aimed at providing comfort during difficult times. The presence of a private room on the lower level further demonstrates their commitment to ensuring privacy and ease of access for pets, especially those with mobility issues.

The small touches within the clinic also contribute to a more humane experience. The provision of Hershey's kisses in the euthanasia room (as mentioned in a review) exemplifies their unique way of offering comfort to pets in their final moments. These details showcase a clinic that goes beyond standard medical procedures to consider the emotional well-being of everyone involved.

Services: Comprehensive Veterinary Care

While the provided reviews heavily emphasize the compassionate end-of-life care offered by Community Vet Care, it is important to understand that a Pet Hospital like this typically provides a wide range of veterinary services to address various aspects of your pet's health. These services generally include:

  • Preventative Care: This forms the cornerstone of pet health and includes routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworms), and nutritional counseling. These services aim to keep your pet healthy and prevent potential health issues.
  • Diagnostic Services: When a pet is unwell, accurate diagnosis is crucial. Pet hospitals like Community Vet Care are usually equipped with diagnostic tools such as laboratory testing (blood work, urine analysis, fecal exams), imaging (X-rays), and potentially ultrasound to identify the underlying cause of illness.
  • Medical Treatment: For pets suffering from various medical conditions, the veterinary team provides appropriate treatment, which may include medication, fluid therapy, and other supportive care. They are equipped to manage both acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Surgical Services: Many pet hospitals offer surgical procedures, ranging from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries. The availability of surgical services depends on the expertise of the veterinarians on staff and the facilities available.
  • Dental Care: Dental health is an often-overlooked aspect of pet care. Services may include routine dental cleanings, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases to ensure your pet's oral hygiene.
  • Emergency Care: While not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, most pet hospitals offer care for urgent medical situations during their operating hours. It is advisable to confirm their emergency protocols and hours of operation directly with the clinic.
  • Euthanasia and End-of-Life Care: The reviews poignantly highlight the exceptional compassion and care provided during euthanasia. This includes creating a peaceful environment, allowing owners to be present, and offering thoughtful keepsakes like paw prints and fur clippings. They also handle the aftercare with dignity and respect, as evidenced by the beautiful presentation of the cremated remains.

Given the positive feedback regarding their end-of-life services, it is highly likely that Community Vet Care extends this same level of care and attention to all their veterinary services.

Features: Going the Extra Mile

  • Compassionate and Empathetic Staff: The recurring theme in the testimonials is the kindness, understanding, and respect shown by the entire staff. This suggests a team that is not only professionally competent but also genuinely cares about the well-being of animals and their owners.
  • Thoughtful Keepsakes: The provision of plaster paw prints and vials of fur as mementos for grieving owners demonstrates a deep understanding of the emotional bond between people and their pets. These personalized touches offer comfort and lasting memories.
  • Respectful Handling of Aftercare: The care taken in returning cremated remains in a beautiful box within a velvet bag, accompanied by a sympathy card, shows a commitment to treating deceased pets with dignity.

I can't say enough about the staff and their understanding and kindness. I had to say goodbye bye to our beloved Bella yesterday. Steph (and Kaitlyn and Dr. Rodgers) went above and beyond to make this horrible day as gentle as they could. They treated both Bella and I with the utmost respect and care. The private room on the lower level made it so much easier to get Bella inside. They even have Hershey's kisses in the private room (for euthanasia only) to offer your dog for an amazing treat that they have never had before. Steph took her time with me and helped put clippings of Bella's hair in a vial as a keepsake and carefully took a clay impression of her paw (along with her name). As a side note, the price was incredibly reasonable. I have no doubt that I will be a client of theirs with all my pets.

My wife and I rescue and adopt senior cats as well as FIV positive and medical needs so we need a dependable local vet. We were using another local vet but their prices were enough to take your breath away. We have moved our group over to Community Vet. Dr. Rodgers and Dr. Tichy are great. It's a short trip from home and the ladies who work here are really outstanding. Lexie, Katie, Hailey, Kaitlyn, Steph, Kayla and Alyssa really make this practice stand out. You can tell how much they really love and care for your cats and dogs. They are very transparent with pricing and extremely affordable. The cost difference between a visit with them and my old vet is often 100+ dollars. As someone who sees the inside of a vet office more then I care to admit, I highly recommend Community Vet. They will do a great job for your furry kids too!

I visited Community Vet Care for the first time today with my 2 dogs and we had a wonderful experience. The staff is super friendly and greeted us as we came in the door. Their waiting area is huge which can be very helpful for your furry friends with anxiety around other pets. My one dog can be very anxious going to the vet but he seemed alot more relaxed and happy here because of the calm surroundings and understanding staff. Having brought both dogs at the same time I didn't feel rushed to swap out dogs for appointments which was a huge plus. I'm very happy to say that they will be my new vet for my current and future pets! If you are looking for a new vet with friendly and knowledgeable staff as well as affordable pricing I would highly recommend Community Vet Care!!

Where do I begin. From the moment I called I was greeted with nice, kind, and friendly people. They were able to get my cat Timmy in super quickly. When I got there they were kind, welcoming, and put us in a room right away to help keep Timmy calm. The tech and Dr. Rogers were fantastic. They let me know what the price was going to be ahead of time. Dr. Rogers Thoroughly examined my boy and knew exactly what to do for the little cut on his head. The tech Comforted Timmy while he was being examined. They gave him his shots and he was on his way. They are very reasonable for vet care and you can tell they love their job. I am now going to start sending my dog here as well. I am so glad we found them and such a great place so close to home. I would recommend them over and over to anyone who asked for great vet care for their fur babies!
