Subject: Concern Regarding My Dog’s Diagnosis I’m reaching out regarding our visit earlier today with my son’s dog, Luna. We brought her in because she wasn’t acting like herself, and you diagnosed her with depression after a brief examination, charging us $150. Unfortunately, just a few hours later, Luna passed away. I’m deeply frustrated and heartbroken—not just for myself, but for my son, who is currently serving as a Marine and now has to hear that his dog is gone. We trusted your expertise, and I can’t help but feel that something critical was overlooked. I would appreciate an explanation of how this diagnosis was made and why further testing wasn’t recommended. This situation has caused our family immense pain, and I believe it deserves serious reflection on the level of care provided. Sincerely, Francis olivo

Customer reviews of Colonial Park Animal Clinic present a stark contrast in experiences. One reviewer, Francis Olivo, expressed deep distress and frustration after their son's dog, Luna, passed away shortly after a visit to the clinic. They detailed that Luna was diagnosed with depression after a brief examination, for which they were charged $150. They voiced concerns about the lack of further testing and the rapid decline of Luna's health, expressing heartbreak for their son, a Marine. They requested an explanation of the diagnosis and the lack of further testing.

Conversely, another reviewer shared a very positive experience, praising the staff for their loving and caring treatment of their pet. They described the staff as a "great bunch of people" who treated their "fur baby" like their own. They were particularly impressed with their pet's lively demeanor after minor surgery, noting that the pet seemed happy and well-cared for. They stated they would not consider taking their four pets to any other clinic.

The reviews highlight a significant disparity in client experiences. While some clients find the staff compassionate and caring, others have raised serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy and the level of care provided in potentially critical situations. The discrepancy between the two reviews shows that the clinic has the potential for great care, but also exhibits the potential for serious misdiagnosis.

The clinic's ability to provide loving care is evident in the positive review. However, the negative review highlights potential issues with diagnostic procedures and the handling of potentially critical cases.

Colonial Park Animal Clinic is recommended with caution. Potential clients should carefully consider the mixed reviews and ask detailed questions about diagnostic procedures and follow-up care. It is strongly recommended to seek second opinions, especially in cases involving complex or potentially life-threatening conditions. Due to the severe nature of the negative review, careful consideration should be taken before deciding to entrust the care of a pet to this clinic.

I absolutely love the staff here. They are such a great bunch of people here. They loved in my fur baby like he was one of their own. I had to leave him for the day for minor surgery. When I cave to pick him up, he was so lively, I was shocked that he even had surgery because he was super happy and acting like he was at doggie daycare all day. That was very telling if the love they have for their job and the animals they care for. I have 3 dogs and a cat, and I would not consider taking them to anyone else

I’m a first time pet owner at age 50. I love my new cat Tigger. They were so incredibly great with him from the front office staff to the assistant the took him for the exam to the doctor patiently answering all my questions. This is our vet home for sure!

We have had excellent experiences with Colonial Park Animal Clinic. The spaying of our chocolate lab was awesome. She had little to no pain, incision healed fast and Gracie acted like nothing had ever happened. We had a recent concern with her legs and they were able to get us in quickly and provide great care. Next Gracie’s brother is getting neutered and we know he’s in good hands!

It was a great experience. Everyone was friendly towards my dog and I. The Dr came in to us without waiting long. Dr. Hartman was very nice and knew what was wrong with Benji. She didn't rush and answered all questions.
